Episode from 3-20-2016

Remember when I mentioned earlier that I thought that I wouldn’t be able to record the syndicated Big Bang Theory episodes that I wanted to? Well, I was almost caught off guard by the random airing of random episodes, but I was able to get two more of those episodes recorded on VHS. Now I have only two more episodes left to record.

I wonder if the election in this show will be more important in the future or not. We know that in order for the show to stay true to its name, it will have to be about a female secretary of state. That would mean keeping the president the same. I feel that he will win his upcoming reelection campaign. What I don’t know is whether or not he’ll survive the whole series. If I had to make a bold claim right now, I would: the president on this show will die at some point. To me, it only seems like a natural thing to happen in the end. I just wonder when this will happen and if they’ll be any lead up to it or not. It could come right out of the blue and shock us all.

I’m very backlogged on recorded shows on VHS. Just recently I watched a Thanksgiving episode of Bones that I had recorded. Now when I’m behind enough on tapes, I tend to just watch only tapes until I’m caught up. But I have certain rules with how many of these I’m able to watch without having to roll for something. I’ve never had the problem before where I run out of these automatic watches before I am more caught up on these tapes. Now I have another list of shows that I’m watching through that doesn’t include the recorded shows on VHS as an option. That means rolling from this list means getting another of these jump aheads as I call them. So I’ll just take a break from the automatic watching on VHS until I have enough of those jump aheads to finish watching another tape. Besides, there’s still one more recorded episode that I have to watch of this show. As for the whole process of rolling from different choices to decide what to watch and various other stuff relating to it as detailed in this paragraph and others like it, I know that it’s crazy and doesn’t make a lot of sense, but I’m still doing it.

March Madness is starting this week so that means the return of tape delay. Just when you thought it was over for the season, it rears its ugly head back into our lives by affecting us this week and the next. Of course, March Madness is going to be different this year and every even numbered year from now for the near future. I am telling you that I will have to record the episode on VHS and with a tape delay likely, I have no idea what might happen. But I’m planning on doing tapes a bit differently since The Good Wife is ending this season. Normally they would be in a different section of blog posts, but with both the slowness of my blog posts and the ability to get caught up as quickly as I can now on tapes before I would have had to post these episodes, I’m not sure why I’m worrying about things being out of order when they don’t have to be (yet were anyways). Did you understand that? I’m not sure that I did and I just wrote it. The point is, I am working on better processes for staying caught up on these episodes. I just hope that nothing goes wrong with these recordings.

Before I get to the episode, I will reveal how I root for a team in March Madness. Last year, I rooted for the team that won the game that delayed shows on CBS. But they got eliminated from the tournament. The next time the shows were delayed was due to a game that Duke won. I then rooted for Duke to win the tournament from then on, which they did. In a way, I was glad that Kentucky didn’t win as I felt the media was biased towards them. But that’s beside the point. If I can figure out who is playing who during that game, I will root for whoever wins with the winner of the game next week on Sunday as my back-up team. Of course, recording shows could be an issue, but I doubt the delay would last over an hour. I’ll just record stuff from seven to ten and hope that the delay doesn’t last too long. This will mean missing some of Elementary, but I’m okay not watching that this week.

Actually, when it comes to March Madness, there are some teams that I might root for or at least check up on besides whoever wins the games that will cause tape delay of this show. Like I might still root for Duke since they are in the tournament again this year. I will check up on Butler’s team since my cousin went to school there. I don’t know what other relatives of mine went to colleges that are in the tournament. Meanwhile, I’ll also be looking out for Wichita St. (that’s a state?) since I was rooting for them at one point last year before they were eliminated from the tournament.

I still don’t know what game will be airing before 6 on CBS on Sunday. I have looked up some of the information and it seems that I should know which games aren’t airing at that time, but not which one will just yet. Meanwhile, I’m still not sure how I’m watching these shows. I might be able to watch them live, but I probably won’t, so I’m planning on recording them. As for the three teams I’m following thus far (Duke, Butler, and Wichita St.), they all went from the crowded 64 to the still big 32 (do you like my names for these parts of the tournaments?) by winning their first game (or first two games in the case of Wichita which had to win a play-in game to get in the actual tournament part).

When it comes to the second round of games, Wichita States loses and does not go on to the sweet sixteen. Duke wins its game against Yale and advances in the tournament. That leaves the fate of Butler. They had to face a first seeded team and they lost so only Duke remains my team of interest. That is, until the VCU versus Oklahoma game is played. VCU is the lower seeded team. Can they pull off another upset? Will Oklahoma stay a good team? We’ll see.

The game went back and forth a lot between VCU and Oklahoma. It cut into what should have been 60 Minutes as I knew it would. The team that advances will be Oklahoma. I’m not sure if I’ll root for them over Duke or not, but I might. They will have to face each other in the Elite 8 if they both make it that far. Meanwhile, the Elite 8 should be what’s on CBS next week before primetime and I’ll have to see which of the games they are airing.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 35 minute delay. We begin with a protest of some sort in Chile by the looks of it. Ally wants to be more normal, but it’s hard to be normal when your mother is the secretary of state. Various things go on while people try to find a solution to problems. Alison goes to explore a potential college. Now one shouldn’t just go to college just because one graduated high school. While it is in general a good idea to go to college, one shouldn’t go there just because it seems like the next logical step as it could just be a waste of money and put you in debt. People greet Elizabeth at the college, something they originally didn’t want to do. This is a generally weird opening if you ask me. I’m not entirely sure what all of it means.

In segment two, there is some fall out based on the incident from before the commercial and it appears that it was recorded in an edited way. Elizabeth talks to Russell about this. Now I had an ominous opinion about Russell. I thought that he might be evil and shoot everyone to death. I now realize after rewatching the Bourne Legacy why I felt that way: that’s what he did in that movie. He probably won’t be doing that in this show. Henry and his team talk to a person through another person about some sort of problem. A person seeks to go up a mountain and record what he’s doing, even if it kills him.

In segment three, there are more issues on campus and it appears that the McCords have to be in disguise in a way. A possibly nice person helps them. Elizabeth talks to the person from earlier. She brings this person’s parents into the mix.

In segment four, there appears to be more resolved issues between Elizabeth and the college kid from earlier. That issue is mostly resolved, it seems. Henry works more with whatever issue he is working with. There are problems with the climber person.

In segment five, it turns out that Alison had gone to a party instead of poetry. Things could have ended badly here, but they didn’t. The climber person who got caught in an avalanche is found safely. In order to let loose, and against the wishes of whoever that one person was with them (I’m bad with names), the McCords at college go sledding.

On the next Madam Secretary, there is a nuclear warhead that is causing problems of some sort. Of course, I’m a bit out of order so I already blogged about that episode. Meanwhile, it appears that I’m not entirely sure the order to post these episodes in, although I’ll probably go back and forth between the two sets of episodes or I’ll just do the older ones first. Episode from 3-6-2016

Well, syndication can be stupid sometimes as it seems that I was only able to record one of the Big Bang Theory episodes that I need to record. Hopefully things won’t be messed up and I can record those missing episodes some other time. Speaking of which, I should look through more of the tapes that we’ve used for recording on in the future to see if any wiped episodes happen to be on it. I doubt that I’d be able to get a dalek from it as I’m American (and I don’t think that lost episodes aired in America), but it might still have something valuable in it. If not, then its valuable thing is a new tape to use.

With The Good Wife ending this season, you might wonder what that would mean for the future of various blogs of mine. I predict that they’d probably move NCIS: Los Angeles to the timeslot after this show and put something new on at 10/9 Central on Mondays. If you want to read more of my thoughts on what I think the next TV season will be like, there’s a potential blog post where I’d do a fantasy schedule of the next season in my TV blog. We’ll see what happens and if I like whatever show is put there. Remember that the same rules apply to creating a new blog for a show after this one. There’s also the possibility of one about Bob’s Burgers, although that one might be unlikely.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with a ship in the ocean full of Libyan refugees. Things are getting rough and they consider killing some of the people on the ship, but it doesn’t come to that. They are concerned that a terrorist is on the ship. One of Stevie’s old lovers comes up again. I forget if we’ve ever actually seen this person on the show before. I don’t remember him if we have. Henry has joined the situation room in some cases as part of his new job.

In segment two, Elizabeth comes up with ways to try to hide what is actually going on with the ship. What is going on with the ship? I don’t fully understand myself. Stevie tells her parents about what is going on with her boyfriend? It’s hard to tell for sure what the relationship is. Not much happens this act so I don’t have much to mention.

In segment three, we have another short and brief segment. Elizabeth and Henry both forget about the dinner that Stevie was planning on doing. The person they were after (or at least I think that’s who it was) blows himself up on the cameras that people were watching.

In segment four, Stevie has the dinner with her boyfriend (or whatever relationship they have), but she gets upset for no good reason. Henry and Elizabeth learn that the dead person was coerced into the explosion and someone else was responsible for him blowing up.

In segment five, the situation with the meal from earlier seems to be explained and resolved when this person comes over again. The last thing the dead person shouted was a name which is what they try to figure out the meaning of. Elizabeth is able to figure out a way to get the Arizona senator on his side. There are no scenes from next time (I wonder why), so I’ll be back whenever with the next episode of Madam Secretary. Until then, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 11-29-2015

You may notice that I'm really behind on this blog in relation to the episodes that have aired. This episode that I'm about to post about aired nearly a year ago. I'm trying my best now to fill in the gap of all the episodes one week at a time. This should be done at some point hopefully. Also, there could be problems with other blogs of mine if Sundays are not open as a day to post things. (Yes, I know I can post different blogs on the same day, but I don't do that.) Meanwhile, there was a time where I posted about a Christmas episode from last season and more or less alternated between posting from the after Christmas episode and the really old ones. Well, after this episode, we'd have an episode from March to post about next, but the next should all be in order except for maybe one of these two complications: 1- I am not caught up on episodes as, starting from today, I have two episodes on tape or 2- there is another holiday related episode that I'd want to post about immediately after it airs, which would start a whole new alternation. Anyways, enough of these random introductions and on to the actual blog post:

Starting from today, since it is the beginning of Advent, I will be watching various Christmas specials and movies throughout December. It’s possible that I will not be able to finish them before December ends. We’ll see what happens with that or not and if there are unwatched Christmas specials, I’ll be sure to post about them as it would affect my TV watching on DVDs and other methods.

It appears that this season they are making Russia a villain type country in this show. (What’s that? I’m actually talking about the show before blogging about the actual episode? Will the world end? No, it won’t. Now if the Cubs win the World Series, then we know that the world will certainly end. Either that, or hell freezes over. I forget which one it is, so it might not actually be the first one. I’m strange, aren’t I?) Anyways, considering all the countries that they could be turning into villain countries, Russia is probably a better choice than others would be. I mean, they would be believable villains to us, but it wouldn’t be troublesome like making a Middle Eastern country would be.

Today might be highly unusual due to a great PBS special that could interfere with all of my shows. I’m not sure about ideal times when this will be on or not. But the special is basically a new concert by my all time favorite musical group Celtic Woman. Ideally, I would watch shows live and record Celtic Woman for later so I can watch it as often as I want to until I either have to delete it (if on my laptop) or until I have a copy of this new concert. However, watching it live would have its perks as well. I’m unsure of future airtimes that would work better than today. I’m not sure if I can risk missing it for potentially getting a better airtime. But I’ll give up today’s FOX shows in a heartbeat to see this new special. Heck, I’d probably give up Once Upon a Time as well. I just hope that they aren’t at the midseason finale of that show yet. Why do shows have midseason finales anyways? That’s so stupid. Just air the show all year round, okay?

I still don’t know how I’ll be watching the Celtic Woman special. I will probably watch it all live. I could put it on my laptop, but that would put yet another episode of this show on VHS. Meanwhile, if I record on VHS, I might watch the first hour live and see the rest on VHS when I can catch up on it. I still don’t know if I’ll start out watching live and switch to recording it later. I’m not sure if I like playing this by ear or not. I also know that I would like a recording of it even if it is temporary. If the recording is on VHS, it might be something that I’d only watch once even if I keep the tape separately where it won’t be reused. I have their Emerald concert on a tape that I haven’t reused as of yet but I haven’t watched the concert again as of yet either. Hopefully I'll get the DVD at some point.

Before Celtic Woman starts, I get distracted by a performance by Alabama. I never heard of them before and PBS may have gotten me into another great musical group. But Celtic Woman remains the one I’m most obsessed with. Like that one fiddler whose name I can’t spell (but probably remember) whose CDs I’ve never bought and performances I’ve never bought either. I liked Australian Pink Floyd, even if they are very strange at times. Their strangeness is what has prevented me from getting a CD from either them or the real Pink Floyd. While they are good at songs, I’d basically only be getting it for Comfortably Numb, a song that they did. That is also the reason why I never got a Queen CD for Bohemian Rhapsody or a David Archuletta Christmas CD for his version of Pat a Pan.

I’m waiting for a pledge break to make sure I can see what else is on and if things are coming in. It basically happens as I type this sentence. I check to see what it on FOX and by the looks of it, they are not airing football or any other sports. They apparently were airing something which cut off their reruns. Yet another doubleheader happens today as they air a game of Pittsburg against Seattle. I think that the team from Seattle is the Seahawks. I’m not sure if they are the only team from Seattle. Pittsburg is winning the game. I’m getting less and less certain that I will be able start the planned CSI: Cyber blog of mind in the near future. These stupid delays are preventing the rule of what the new post would be: an episode not delayed in either region. Both of my CBS affiliates are airing the same game.

This tape delay could potentially help my situation out. This will mean that the absolute soonest that this show will start at is 7:30. But, by the looks of the game, I can already tell that they will probably last beyond the scheduled end. I just wonder if there’ll ever be a delay long enough to prevent the planned airing of a CSI: Cyber episode, which would also have been the criteria for creating this blog. It’s weird that they keep airing new episodes after a delay of over fifty minutes. They probably don’t care about this show. But its time slot is already indicative of that.

I doubt that I will be able to keep up with any of this game at all. I’ll give you an occasional update until 60 Minutes starts. Hopefully there will be a big enough difference between the points scored in the game that the losing team won’t be able to turn it around. Not that it would be bad if they did. I’d just have to find other ways of finding the score out.

I might have to get an Alabama CD. It’s too bad that I already sent out my wish list for this year. Well, I wouldn’t have had room for it anyways on my list, since I limit it in certain places. I’m saying this because they are doing a wonderful song that I love a lot.

The score on the football game has changed when I check the score again. While Pittsburg is still winning, they are just barely winning now. The score could easily change. Meanwhile, I don’t know the name of this team. I tend to not know the names of sports teams if you haven’t figured that out by now. Sorry about that.

I stay with Celtic Woman until it finally finishes airing. I am glad that it affected nothing other than the Once Upon a Time episode I was going to watch. By the looks of it, FOX was airing The Simpsons followed by a Christmas special in the Ice Age franchise. I don’t know if The Simpsons episode was new, but it might not have been new shows tonight on that network. Also, there were no songs on the Celtic Woman special after the last pledge break. They just did the credits.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 61 minute delay. We begin with a blackout happening in Moscow. They blame the US president for this and he was probably responsible for it in some way. Elizabeth tells a joke to her family that they all know. Jason has to play in a football game. Russia is talking about a cyber attack that I don’t think I’m familiar with as of the original watching of this episode. Of course, when I get caught up on old episodes, I’ll be able to figure out what happened. The main problem with that is that I might have already blogged about that episode. The blackout was caused by the US looking for information into Russia, but they were unable to find information into the hack of Air Force One. Does that mean that they weren’t responsible for it or that information about it doesn’t exist?

In segment two, Elizabeth works on finding a solution to the problem that they have with the Russians. She wants to tell people about the hack of Air Force One instead of continuing the lie of solar flares. Her husband says that Russia might not have actually been behind the attack after all. Meanwhile, I should tell you now that I am live blogging this show for the possibly first time. All the evidence they have against Russia planning the hack of Air Force One could be fake. But then, who did it and why?

In segment three, Elizabeth talks to some of her advisors about her concerns that someone else is behind the Air Force One hack. This is something that could get both her and her husband in trouble. A suspect other than Russia could be China. But is that the best alternative? Elizabeth talks to a Chinese person about it. He points out that it would not make sense for them to do this. Now just because it doesn’t make any sense doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t happen. Look at the assassination of William McKinley. What was his assassin trying to accomplish?

In segment four, there’s some foreign country problem that’s a subplot in some way. It’s hard to make sense of it thus far. There might be a new theory as to what is going on with a new man that could be a suspect. Jason is not doing as much as he could be in the football game. The Ukrainians might have done something with Air Force One. A crashed airplane might have been a cover-up relating to the problem. I wondered if it might be Ukraine that was responsible. I should have mentioned that sooner. Are the Ukrainians trying to pit the US and Russia against each other? The foreign nation, I think, was Vietnam. Also, what is polonium? I never heard of that before. Bozak (or however you spell his name) is responsible for the attack. Also, I’m glad that I don’t have to count more Christmas commercials except for the ones that I will retroactively add since they are on tapes.

In segment five, the president talks to a Ukraine official about what he did. They are not going to reveal this publically. And they make sure that he doesn’t talk about this to people. Elizabeth talks to Henry about the risks that they took regarding all this. Russia violates the no fly zone, ending the episode. There are no scenes for next episode. I’m not entirely sure when that will be. I know that some shows will be taking breaks soon. I don’t know when this is back. I need to figure out the midseason schedule for various CBS shows. Hopefully I can find that soon. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 2-21-2016

One of the TV shows that I’m watching on DVD is The Big Bang Theory. But, that’s currently mentioned on my other list. There are potential problems with this. I was watching the first season. Now I typically watch a show after dreaming about it. I dreamt about the pilot episode of The Big Bang Theory (the one that aired). The main problem with that is that I’m still on the first season on DVD. And I’m not far into it. There is a Halloween episode in the first season that I will wait to watch until October once I reach it. After that, I will put it back on the list, but I know that I probably won’t be able to finish watching the first season until sometime next year. This means that I’ll have to wait until at least 2018 before I’ll be able to watch it again. That, and I will be watching it in Portuguese since I’ll still watching further seasons on DVD as well.

Speaking of my Big Bang Theory DVDs, when I was watching season 5, when I got to the third disc, there was a problem of some sort after watching it for the first time. So I now am working on recording the syndicated versions of these episodes. I had previously gotten the first three from the disc on a tape. It looks like I will now be able to get the next three episodes on the tape as well. I just hope that there are no issues of any kind when I do get caught up on tape of these episodes.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin where the last episode left off. The explosion shook the area. Elizabeth tries to contact her family. It’s interesting that Stevie says text is better than calling. I prefer calling. Anyways, she learns that her kids are fine, but her husband may be contaminated from the bomb explosion. The main person who was speaking at this event is injured with shrapnel.

In segment two, there is more chaos after the bomb explosion. Elizabeth is able to talk to her husband some. We see people trying to fix a situation with a consulate. Somebody gets on the roof of a building and decides to jump off of it.

In segment three, the thing they used to close the last act isn’t addressed right away. They still try to figure out the situation that is going on. Henry is okay and it looks like he is not contaminated. I’m not sure what else there is to gather from this segment.

In segment four, Matt? meets up with Nadine to spend time with her since where he lives is affected by the bombing. Elizabeth is worried that such things could happen to them. Whatever Henry did was effective in treating the injured person. He wants to rejoin a place of some sort. It seems like things are wrapped up, but they aren’t. There’s still another act to go.

In segment five, Henry talks about rejoining DIA (whatever that is) and is rejected, something that he thinks his wife is responsible for. But, the president is interested in creating a new agency that he wants Henry to be a part of. Henry accepts the offer. There are no scenes from next time, so I’ll be back in the future with the next episode. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 11-22-2015

Well, this is the day that a new Madam Secretary episode has aired. But, I'm not posting that episode yet. As most of you know, I am very behind on posting this blog, although most of that was by personal design. It's a flawed way of doing things, I know. So whenever an old episode will be posted on a day when a new one aired, this means that I will have to post an episode the next Sunday and keep doing this until there is not a new episode that month. This will work until the next month until the cycle starts all over again. Another way of catching up on blog posts could be posting something exactly a year after it first aired. I might do that later too. So unless I die sometime before the show is over, I do promise that you will see every blog post I did on every episode of this show from when I started blogging. I will post today's episode sometime in the future, but I honestly haven't watched it yet. More on that later. For now, here's an old episode:

I’m always coming up with new ways of introducing this blog. I don’t know why I don’t just get to the point, but I’ve somehow come to believe that it is physically impossible for me to do such a thing. I don’t have any updates about the TV shows on DVD that I’m watching as nothing has changed which is sad. When will I get more watched? I am a bit backlogged on VHS tapes so I have to get caught up on them. Plus, December means watching Christmas specials and this year I’d include some regular shows not related to Christmas such as Farscape and the recorded shows on VHS.

I turn on my TV and check the game on FOX. The game is between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings. Where is Green Bay anyways? Were it not for their football team, most people probably wouldn’t know about that city.  I usual, I can’t tell who is winning. I flip to my secondary CBS affiliate and they are airing a game of Kansas City against South Dakota. Kansas City is winning by a lot. I find out through this network that the Packers are winning the game on FOX. I check my primary CBS affiliate and they are showing the news which means that they will be airing shows on time. I guess that shows from one CBS affiliate to another will be off again this week. Meanwhile, The American Music Awards means that I don’t have to worry about shows on ABC messing with shows today. This would be ideal for my CSI: Cyber blog if only they weren’t showing sports on one of my CBS affiliates. L

60 Minutes starts on time so I won’t be isolating CBS shows to VHS since they won’t be airing late on one of my two affiliates. The Chiefs from Kansas City officially win the game on the other CBS affiliate of mine which will give shows on that network a small delay. The game continues on FOX and I still have no way of knowing any possible changes in the score unless I can somehow catch it when watching the game. Only I won’t be watching that game if 60 Minutes is airing on time. I really should have a blog about that show, but I don’t and I’m not sure if I ever will. Besides CSI: Cyber, the only other blog I have an interest in creating right now is one about Bob’s Burgers.

It’s probably good that I don’t and probably never will get a blog about 60 Minutes. It’s complicated enough blogging about all the other shows Sundays on CBS and with tape delay regularly messing with their shows on that night, having a blog about 60 Minutes would just cause more problems. Plus, it wouldn’t fit in with my other blogs about CBS Sunday shows. If I had only created it before creating a blog about Madam Secretary, then it would have worked out, sort of. The game is still on FOX. The Packers are still winning. Meanwhile, I still have to see if I can figure out the delay on my other CBS affiliate. I just know that it isn’t too much of a delay there. The game is still going on the FOX network when I check it again. I’ll have to check the score later online just to see if it is actually the Packers winning. I ultimately learn through sports updates on CBS that the Packers did actually win the game on FOX as they switch to the OC. Also, The Chiefs were playing a team from San Diego and not South Dakota. I didn’t know what SD stood for. It could stand for a lot of things. Anyways, I’m done talking about sports for today and hope that I can catch what the delay is on the other CBS affiliate that I watch.

Well, once again there were problems with my TV tuner. I should talk to my brother about this. You’d think that something that I got valued at $10 would be better quality than that. So once again, I’ll be an episode behind as I put the episode on VHS instead of my laptop. Thank you glitchiness. Anyways, The Good Wife recorded well on my TV tuner so this is pretty weird indeed.

Today’s episode is brought to you by either 7 minute or no delay. We begin with exercise advice given to that one guy named Jay? He doesn’t seem to be good at exercising. There seem to be some sort of computer type of problems. Elizabeth gathers with people to discuss military options for something or another. I don’t fully understand what is going on. The thing seems to be an extraction in Cambodia, or that is what they are trying to authorize, at least. Henry talks to Demitri about their plans for the future. Demitri prepares to go off on his mission.

In segment two, Elizabeth wants someone to resign. Important stuff happens at a Moscow airport. A CIA capture team comes to breech a place to rescue someone, I think. A possible cyber war with Russia could happen in the future. Demitri is missing. Henry and Elizabeth talk about their lives or the lack of what they can talk about. A bunch of stuff happens and doo doo da dee. Demitri is found by people who look like they are helping him infiltrate the Russian side. Sorry if I’m not putting as much as I should be in this post. Maybe Demitri’s mission is a success after all. He finds a phone to use. Henry learns that Demitri is okay after all. A random guy from earlier is brought up. It looks like they caught the guy they were after from earlier. They confirm that Russia was responsible for something.

In the next segment, they have plans to blackout the country of Russia. Henry has more information from Demitri about what is going on with Russia. The blackout of Russia happens. This is after Elizabeth talks about the hack of Air Force One.

On the next Madam Secretary, the promo is vague, but I can remember what happens as I’ve already seen that episode. Now, for the moment, there are no other VHS episodes for me to watch, although I know that this probably won’t stay the same due to March Madness and the Masters. But will I isolate these episodes to VHS? That I don’t know yet. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 2-14-2016

Don’t be surprised if you see a lack of updates on the TV show watching that I’m doing. I need to get caught up on VHS tapes and that takes precedence sometimes over any of the other choices. Meanwhile, I am close to finishing other options on the list, so hopefully I can do that and you can be treated to other meaningless updates about it. Yay!

Remember how I mentioned being a potential free agent in regards to what football team to root for? A lot of people in the St. Louis area are no longer rooting for the Rams since they left for LA. I still might root for the Rams in the future. Meanwhile, I do think that I found a back-up football team to root for. I know that the Broncos won a play-off game that delayed the planned airing on this show. They even planned for the delay to be an hour long. I decided that I would start rooting for them if they won the Super Bowl. Well, they did win the Super Bowl so I will root for them in general now, but mostly as a back-up team to root for and not the main one. Meanwhile, I know that I am not rooting for the Bears because fuck Chicago and I’m not rooting for the Patriots because fuck the Patriots. Meanwhile, I need to know when the Broncos and Rams next play each other who wins so that I’ll know which team to root for first and which team to root for second. Additionally, it could just be one of many ways to find other football teams to root for.

Here’s a section that I’m putting in multiple blog posts. I was away from my home visiting family the day that this episode aired. There were potential ways for me to record the Sunday episodes of shows that I blog about, but I was concerned that the PGA tour might run long and there would be a tape delay messing up the recordings. This didn’t ultimately happen, though. I could have potentially watched and blogged about it elsewhere, but a lack of definite plans prevented that. Thus, the CBS shows that I blog about were watched online for this week and this post may be different than usual as a result.

Now I’m hoping that such an event doesn’t happen that often. It was nice spending time with my sister to celebrate her birthday. It can be a bit depressing that I’ve never spent Valentine’s Day with a girlfriend. I’ve never had a serious romantic relationship. I’m just glad that I don’t do sleazy things that day such as hooking up with people. I’m a virgin and proud of it. But the point is, I will now watch this episode online and blog about it that way. Hopefully it won’t happen again.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with some sort of international crisis as usual. Not much is happening in this episode, to me at least. The baby is making noise somehow that they can’t seem to sync with what the actual baby is doing. They try to figure out a problem with Alison that she says was something a friend of hers did in her name.

In the next segment, I still can’t tell what the crisis is this time exactly. Maybe watching it online wasn’t the best idea. But I didn’t know that I would have been able to record the episodes on VHS. But at least I’m able to see the episode this way.

In the next segment, there is more with the two missing women. They are trying to be rescued or whatever.  There are also important foreign dignitaries talking. There is a bomb at an event and things get a bit crazy. And that’s where the episode ends. I’m not sure what the scenes from next time are so I’ll be back in the future with the next episode. Episode from 11-15-2015

You know, were it not for a dream about me having a blog about this show and an OCD habit of mine, I might have never created this blog. Then I created one about The Good Wife and will create one about CSI: Cyber because of tape delay. Meanwhile, I might create a blog about Bob’s Burgers in the future due to a dream about having a blog about it.

Here’s a paragraph that I felt was worth posting in multiple blogs. On the 13^th of November (which was incidentally a Friday for all you superstitious people) a bad event happened. There were terrorist bombings in France. The news talked about how this could affect football games over the weekend. It could also potentially affect various programs on TV. While it doesn’t matter in the long run if shows are affected due to current events, I will keep an eye out for potential changes in these blogs.

Will sports be affected? While I’m still hoping for a lack of a delay in the future, this is not the reason why I want there to be no delay. I don’t like it when things cut into programming that I watch, but I hate terrorist attacks way more than that. I doubt that they would have canceled any of the football games in America. There was probably heighted security, but if we cancel things than the terrorist have won. Actually, they already won by having their attacks be successful. I’ll be sure to check to see whether or not there is football or some other type of delay for this episode or any in the near future.

I check my secondary CBS affiliate. They are airing a doubleheader on CBS today. But are both of my affiliates airing the same game? We’ll see. I was unable to see any of the game at the moment, but I believe that Denver is one of the teams. So they are still airing sports. I don’t know if I’ll watch any of 60 Minutes tonight to try to get more information that they might have about the terrorist attack. I’ve already gotten plenty of information about it.

I check my FOX affiliate and they are showing football. The Raiders are one of the teams playing. Unlike CBS, I can never tell who the teams are at what the score is without a hi-def TV. Honestly, the only reason I’d get one of those at the moment is so that I can get and use a blue-ray VCR combo player with it. And I wouldn’t even be using that for any blue-ray reasons. The Raiders are playing the Vikings. The game here is expected to end at 6, although if it doesn’t, then they’ll probably just preempt the planned Simpsons rerun. I might have to find the score by looking at the crawl on the screen of the CBS game or games. I should look at that, but I’ll wait until a commercial for now.

I check my primary CBS affiliate and they are airing a game against the Denver Broncos and the team from Kansas City. The Broncos are being shut out at the moment, meaning that the team from Kansas City is winning. Both CBS affiliates of mine are airing the same game.

I miss a lot of both games as I do other stuff around the house. I finally think that I caught the score. The Vikings are winning the FOX game, I think. Meanwhile, on CBS, the Kansas City team has scored more points at the Broncos still have none. I forget what teams besides Denver’s have reputations for being bad teams. I doubt already that this game will end on time, unless they cut off the game in my region, which could happen due to a shutout. It’s nearly six and we are still in the 3^rd quarter.

The crawl on CBS shows that the Vikings are winning the game against the Raiders on FOX. I don’t know if that game is over just yet. I really hope that they don’t show all of this game on CBS. Although, things may work out well for me if CSI: Cyber is preempted entirely. Of course, I’m starting a blog about it either way. But this game is certainly running very slowly. And one of the teams hasn’t even scored a point. Will they? I don’t think that they can turn things around this game.

They are still airing the game on FOX, meaning that it isn’t over just yet. According to the epg, I have seen this Simpsons episode. I’m getting a bit bored with the game on CBS, but I also need to see if I can get the tape delay right by seeing the end of the game. Although, I doubt that I’ll see the end of it. I’ll just have to check to see what the score is whenever I can. Hopefully I can catch when the game is over and when Madam Secretary starts.

I finally learn that the team from Kansas City is called the Chiefs. They are the team that is winning by a lot. I’m not sure of the FOX game at all. I think that the Vikings are still winning, but things could possibly change. Plus, the schedule could get messed up if the game cuts into Bob’s Burgers. Meanwhile, I have never once understood what the OT stands for. It airs after sports games on FOX but I don’t know what it means. Does it mean anything at all?

Honestly, I’m probably more interested in football than I think that I am. While the only football game that I might have seen from start to finish was the Super Bowl and it’s unlikely that I’ll ever watch a whole game from start to finish, it is the end of the game that is surely very interesting. And that’s coming from someone who has never seen a game turn around at the end.

The game must have ended on FOX since they are getting to The Simpsons. They aren’t going to show a whole episode. They are going to do the intro, then more commercials (after following commercials that happened after the game) and then they’ll cut into where the show should be. I will check the crawl on CBS to confirm which team did win the game. Now why are they airing a Christmas episode of Bob’s Burgers already? Are they that convinced already that there will not be time to air it during December? Do they have to air the episodes in a predetermined order? While nice when things air in order, you wouldn’t think that it would affect a show like Bob’s Burgers to air it out of order.

Now that I’m done talking about Madam Secretary (get it? Out of order? Never mind). In all seriousness, the game on CBS is still going on. Other CBS games are going on other networks which is evident by the fact that one of mine just switched to a Patriots versus Giants game. They must be switching to a more interesting game. My other CBS affiliate has switched games as well. The Patriots are just barely winning this game. It is almost over unless there is overtime. I still don’t know if the other game that they were showing will affect CSI: Cyber and possibly preempt it. I will admit that this game is far more interesting and doubt that either affiliate of mine will return to the Chiefs/Broncos game. In a way, I feel sorry for the two affiliates that will have to show the whole game. But will they be the only ones?

I apologize to anyone by all this football talk that I’m doing. If you are interested in just the Madam Secretary part of this post, then you should know where to start. I should really include the sentence, “But enough of my ramblings” that I use in my primary blog (that I actually created second and care about more than any other blog). I switch to Bob’s Burgers in the meantime.

The score is unchanged on CBS with the Patriots still barely winning. It appears that the Chiefs are more than likely the de facto winner of their game against the Broncos as I really don’t see how they can turn things around. Meanwhile, I’m guessing that the Vikings won their game against the Raiders, although I probably don’t care enough to check the score.

Looking at the CBS game again, it looks like the Giants have turned things around and are now winning. There is not much time left on the clock. Will the Giants win? Boy it’s getting down to the wire. It could be either team winning that game. I ultimately don’t know which team won after the game ended. Sorry about that. But I have to get to my Sunday shows.

I realize that this is part of my delayed posts with old VHS episodes. Well, I honestly don’t know the order that I’m posting things in as I have yet to post any of this season’s episodes on my blog just yet. But I will. And you’ll see this at some point. I googled the scores of the football games today and found out that the Vikings did in fact win. I’m not surprised to learn that the Chiefs beat the Broncos, but I am surprised that the Broncos got as many points as they did. Meanwhile, the close game that I missed the ending of has the Patriots winning. Their last ditch efforts to win must have worked.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 56 minute delay. We begin with police and black people having an issue in the past. People are ready to welcome Cubans into America. They open an embassy for it. Alison was in a car accident.

In segment two, people talk about the various events going on. People are trying to track the potential votes.  They are trying to lift the embargo on Cuba. There’s a lot of political talk going on as they work to restore relations with Cuba. Alison doesn’t want to go to Cuba with her father. They keep going to different people to talk about potential votes. I’m still wondering what the first part has to do with it, but it is probably related to the murder they are talking about that could potentially affect the Cuba vote that’s in the future.

In segment three, they discuss the prisoner that they want transferred here. There are constantly family issues with the McCords before this trip to Cuba. Elizabeth talks with a person about the upcoming vote. She’s still encountering problems.

In segment four, more things are discussed as Elizabeth talks to a person who relates to the case from earlier. She wants the person to turn herself in. Henry gets annoyed by Alison’s social media use. Nadine fake cries her way into information. Henry opens up to Alison about the death of his student.

In segment five, Elizabeth goes over the speech she is going to say. They bring in two people who lowered the flag the last time the Cuban embassy was used. They will begin a new chapter with Cuba. Was the issue resolved with the person they wanted arrested? It looked like she might get a new trial. This was a pretty interesting episode for me to get caught up on since it doesn’t relate to those that I’ve seen after it but I get caught up on the episode regardless. It looks like the person they wanted is now back in the US. She has supporters wanting her freed. Then there was a confusing ending to this episode. Does that make sense?

On the next Madam Secretary, there’s a cyber war with Russia going on. It’s hard to tell for sure what is going on. I do have one other old episode to watch on VHS right now. Maybe it contains more information. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
