Cast Update 10-5-2021

I only seem to do pure political posts in this blog whenever it works out and it has not worked out for quite some time. It is possible and very likely that you might see random posts in this blog sometime next month. But they will not be political. I do random posts that aren’t political in all of my other cast update blogs. I might as well change this by starting a politics free November. That may seem like an ironic time each year not to discuss politics, but I feel that it needs to be done and not just so I’m not always talking about politics when I’m not doing a cast update.

Tea Leoni: She will be in a project called Endangered, which will be a movie. There are no other things that I see her in right now besides that. I don’t know when they finished filming the show, but you’d think that those who are still doing projects will have stuff right now to do (if that makes sense).

Endangered: This is a movie about the lives of threatened species. We’ll see what role she has in it. The website I’m checking makes it seem like she’ll be lending her voice to it so maybe it will be some sort of documentary. The release date is unknown now.

Bebe Neuwirth: She’s had a recurring bit on Blue Bloods and may show up on it from time to time. There are other minor things that she has done. It appears that she will be in a new movie called Julia. She will also be in something new called Teenage Euthanasia. Yet another thing that she will be in will be Ultra City Smiths. I hope to see what I can of this.

Julia: This is a pilot for a show about Julia Child, the chef. We’ll see if anything comes from the pilot in the future or not. It would have an edge if it was already filmed. The release year is 2022. Maybe one will never come.

Teenage Euthanasia: Considering how the title talks about assisted suicide, one can be a bit unsure how this could turn into a good story. But the plot is more complicated than that and hard to sum up easily. The show is set to air sometime in 2021. There is a trailer for this now:

Thoughts on trailer: So this looks strange, but I was already expecting it. I guess that it is far too grim for even FOX by featuring mature content that not even that network would allow. I’m glad that the trailer explains a lot about the series, but I’m not upset that I’m going to be missing any of this in the end.

Ultra City Smiths: This is a TV show about two people looking for a missing celebrity. Will they find what they are looking for? One can only hope since that’s what the show is about. This is out now. I do not know what network this is on or what time it airs. There is a trailer for this now:

Thoughts on trailer: This looks weird and I probably would have liked it better if it were live action focusing on a more serious plot. I can’t gather much from the trailer, but there sure are a hell of a lot of people in it. And I guess that’s all that I can make sense of it for now. What else is there to say?

Geoffrey Arend: He will be in a project called Physical, a TV show. I’m glad that he could find something at long last. Hopefully, he’ll do a bunch more things all worth keeping track of in this blog and worth watching as well if I can see them at all.

Physical: This is a TV show, but too much about this is unknown at this point in time. It is out now on Apple TV. It also has a trailer that I will be talking some about. It is a very new thing and imdb isn’t revealing much about it now as a result. But we’ll find out more about this over time. This got a season 2 renewal.

Thoughts on trailer: I’m not entirely sure what to make of this. It doesn’t seem that bad, but it doesn’t seem anywhere close to good either. It is going for something maybe a bit different, but I can’t really get behind it that much. I was never one for the 80s as I wasn't even born yet and really only get stuff out of it from when I see The Goldbergs. It doesn’t seem all that interesting to me really.

Kathrine Herzer: She hasn’t been doing much since the show ended or now, it seems. Maybe she is going back to a more normal life. Not all the child actors or actresses continue into the field when they get older as they want to do other things in life. Remember the people from Shining Time Station?

Evan Roe: Again, this person has not been doing much after the show ended. I guess it hasn’t been over long enough or a lot of these people just haven’t found a new job yet, at least in the Hollywood industry. You’d think that the filming would have ended long enough ago, but maybe not.

Tim Daly: The time has come to say what this man is finally doing after Madam Secretary as he finally has something new in the works now. He is working on a project called The Sixth Reel. I don’t know what it is yet, but at least it is something. He is also set to be in The Game, a TV show.

The Sixth Reel: This is a project that I currently don’t know much about right now. Is it a movie, TV show, or something else entirely? I have no idea. It is said to be a comedy of some sort. But is it a movie comedy or a sitcom of some sort? I also don’t know the plot of it just yet. This is out now. I’m not able to see this so will remove this from the updates since there’s no reason to include this anymore.

The Game: This is a TV series about black culture and how it regards to football. It could be good and is a continuation of CW show from a while ago that also aired on BET. This is set to premiere on November 11, 2021 on Paramount+.

Zeljko Ivanek: He is finally set to be in something called Now and Then, which is a TV show. Maybe we’ll see more of his acting in the future or maybe we won’t. But it is nice to know that such a thing will exist or at least could. He is also set to be in The Last Duel, which I’m pretty sure is a movie.

Now and Then: This is a TV series about a group of Hispanic friends meeting again years after one of them is found dead. It does not have a release date at the moment. It is set to be on Apple TV+. It could be good, but it doesn’t sound original.

The Last Duel: Set in Medieval times, two people are set to duel to settle a dispute of some sort or another. There is a release date of October 15, 2021 for it to come out. There is a trailer for this, so let’s talk about this now.

Thoughts on trailer: This looks very interesting and could be good, although I’m unsure of what twists could come in what happens. I hope to avoid learning what had happened in this story (although I’m unsure who it is about still) so as to not get spoiled. But I do think that this could be a thought provoking movie and I look forward to it. Maybe I’ll actually see it in theaters * knocks on wood *.

Erich Bergen: He’s also doing nothing yet as of the show ending. How recently did filming wrap? Was it not that long ago? Why is no one that I’m looking up doing anything yet? I don’t get it. Whatever the reason, he has nothing yet and maybe that will change later.

Patina Miller: She is the narrator of a show called Word Party. That’s all that she’s doing for now. I think that she’s a mother so that may affect how much work she’ll be able to do. We’ll see what goes on in her life and I hope she can do something I can watch. She will also be in a project called Power Book III: Raising Kanan. That’s it for now.

Word Party: This is a Netflix kids show that is available now. Patina is the narrator of it. I don’t know much about it. I doubt that I will be able to see it in the future. This show is about teaching others how to talk and learning simple things like that.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan: This is available now. It is a prequel about Kanan Stark, whoever that is. I doubt already that I’ll be able to see it, although I guess that it is possible that I might at some point. I hope to find out more info about this soon, but not much seems to be coming just now. There is a trailer for this now:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADzSyRvZul0

Thoughts on trailer: I wish that I could say that this looks original, but it does not. It does not look bad either. But it does look similar to the type of thing that you can see in all sorts of other places. I still have no idea what Power Book is about or other things like it in the end. But this could be good. It just looks generic in some ways.

Wallis Currie-Wood: She has done very little outside of the show. Maybe she will do something more in Hollywood or maybe not. It will be hard to understand some of why I’m not seeing much in terms of what the cast is doing in the future unless or until more time passes.

Keith Carradine: He has two projects in the works. One is called Sallywood. The other one is called The Daylong Brothers. We’ll see what happens between those and anything else that he does. I look forward to hopefully seeing these films at some point in time. He will also be in something called The Power of the Dog. Maybe more will happen in the future.

Sallywood: This movie romantic in some way, but I don’t know if it’s a comedy or not. It is about a man who moves to Hollywood and becomes a woman’s personal assistant. They’ll be more to it than that. It has an unknown release date at this time.

The Daylong Brothers: This has an unknown release date at this time. It is about three brothers who try to get revenge on their father for selling their souls. This could be interesting, even if I don’t really like to watch horror films. But this could just be normal supernatural.

The Power of the Dog: It is about sibling rivalry that happens between two men who are brothers when one of them gets married. It is out now. There is a trailer for this that is out now and I’ll talk about this some.

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELvKuuXdfCU

Thoughts on trailer: This is far too vague and I can’t get much out of this outside of a whole lot of annoying whistling that didn’t seem to fit any tune that I’m familiar with or could tell easily based on what was going on. Since it is a Netflix movie, I will not be able to see it and will thus be removing it from the updates as a result.

Sebastian Arcelus: It looks like he will appear in a TV movie or perhaps potential pilot called Blanco. He’s doing better than others in terms of projects in the works. That is it for now. Maybe there will be more, but I think that’s it for now.

Blanco: This has an unknown release date at the moment. It is about a criminal who seeks to work with the cops only to build his criminal empire. I have no idea what network this would air on, if any. This might be just another in a long line of passed pilots that I get confused about and wind up in this blog for a long time like what you might have seen in my CSI: Cyber blog.

Sara Ramirez: After a long time not doing anything, she is finally set to star in a show called And Just Like That... We’ll see what else she might do in the future beyond that. It could be a lot or not much at all. At the moment, this is it. She is set to return briefly to Grey’s Anatomy.

And Just Like That...: This is a sequel/reboot of sorts to Sex in the City. It will air on HBO Max at some point in the future. It is currently said to be a mini-series. It has a time frame of airing sometime in 2021. Since I doubt that I will be seeing this, then I doubt that I’ll watch the original at any point.

Kevin Rahm: There isn’t much to talk about for him right now. It doesn’t really say much what he could be doing as his project supposedly isn’t moving forward according to one link with it also saying that it is still in preproduction according to another link. I’m not putting that back in this blog for now until I know for sure that he’s doing it or something else.

Barbara Hall: I will see what future, if any, she might have in the film or movie industry. You’d think that she’d be doing something at some point or another, but maybe she won’t be at least for a while. I guess that I’ll keep her in the updates for now.
