Episode from 4-21-2019

Another Maundy Thursday has come and gone. As expected, the networks continued to air episodes of shows that were new then. Thus, I missed episodes of Gotham, The Orville, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Law and Order: SVU, Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, For the People, and S.W.A.T. I was busy on Easter and barely had any time to write any of this post and I have a lot to say before talking about this episode in question.

You might have noticed that I haven’t been updating you on any changes to the TV shows on DVD that I watch. Well, I’ve been more or less stuck with the same six choices for longer than I think I’ve ever been stuck with any six choices before. If I finish watching Survivor: Borneo, I get to replace it with Survivor: Gabon. If I finish watching anything else, I get to replace it with The Walking Dead and finally do a review of that show for my blog on The Good Wife. The six shows on DVD that I’m watching are Charmed season 4, Farscape season 4, Moonlight: The Complete Series, NCIS season 3, Survivor: Borneo, and shows that I have recorded on tape.

I realize that I need to update you on what I call my tier two group of football teams that I root for. I had checked the scores of old games that they played last season versus games they played this season. Let’s get to it. The Texans beat the Dolphins and the Dolphins lost to the Jaguars. This makes the point system as Texans: 1 out of 2, Jaguars are 2 out of 3, Buccaneers are 2 out of 2, and Dolphins are 0 out of 3. This makes the ranking as Buccaneers, Jaguars, Texans, and Dolphins.

While I could talk about possible shows that could replace this blog, I’m not sure that I need to right now at this moment. I did dream about having a blog about the new show Whisky Cavalier. I haven’t seen that show and am not sure that I ever will. I mean, that’s a stupid name for a show, right? How many shows do people watch that have stupid names? Know that Bob’s Burgers is still next in line. I don’t yet know if I’ll watch this ABC show and blog about it or not. It will depend on what works in my schedule with all the other shows I care about.

This will be the last movie update until it goes back to my Elementary blog. Since I had no time to watch anything since the last update, I’ll tell you what the five lists are for now. Sunday’s list is Bambi, Celtic Woman’s original concert, Ghost Town, The Little Mermaid, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Pleasantville. Saturday’s list is Absolute Power, Finding Dory, The Lion King, North by Northwest, Rat Race, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Friday’s list is Avatar, my high school graduation DVD, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Lilo and Stitch, Pocahontas, and That Darn Cat. Monday’s list is Bend it Like Beckham, Despicable Me 3, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Liar Liar, Mr. Bean’s Holiday, and Toy Story 3. Tuesday’s list is Aladdin, Catch Me if You Can, Invictus, National Treasure, Raising Arizona, and Spaceballs.

On Friday, April 19, 2019, I rolled Survivor: Borneo again and got to watch the episode Long Hard Days. This is the last time that I have to roll Survivor for a while and depending on what happens with this show, I might have to finish writing the updates of when I rolled this somewhere else. I will keep track of it somewhere for sure.

I haven’t told anyone in this blog about it yet, but this is an important thing for others to know. I do not think that it is right for someone to get an abortion simply because their child will be born with any sort of developmental problem. But there’s an issue an Iceland where 100% of women who learn that their baby will be born with Down’s Syndrome will get an abortion. And elective abortion isn’t even legal in that country like it is in the United States. Know that this actually has nothing to do with abortion, but does have everything to do with a world where special needs people are wiped out by those who have what are considered to be superior minds but are just more problem causers.

There’s not too much for me to say in terms of the Democratic race for president in this post. I know that I might not be able to say much about it for quite some time, if at all, depending on what happens in the future. Elizabeth Warren has a great idea that you can read about here. This is going to make her even more of a target then she already is. But I’m willing to think for now that she’s most likely to win the Democratic primary and general election in 2020. There might be others that I’d lean more towards supporting besides her, but a lot of us know that she’s popular for now.

With no idea if I’ll be sharing much of these links from Daily Kos in the future, I thought that I might as well get to yet another reason why Mitch McConnell should be voted out of office next year. I do not have high hopes for him, especially after his part in the longest government shutdown in US history, but if Kentuckians still like him, we’re all seriously fucked. At least stories like this one explain why he should not win, especially if he wants to embrace his terrible side. Sadly, many have won with terrible campaign strategies, including him back in 2014.

If you have been following this blog for all the time that I’ve had it, you might remember that I was not good at updating it on time as I should have been. I’ve also been sharing links of my Good Wife blog and it had the same problem. Well, I’ve decided that I will share the episodes in the right order, even if this was not the order that I published the blog in. I may go back and tell you about older episodes in the past with it, but I don’t know if I will yet or not. In this post, it talks about various topics like a voting scandal, hacked emails, scandals causing one to resign from office, and that a character had rigged an election. This might have been one of the worst episodes of the show that I can remember.

You’ve probably heard a lot by now about gerrymandering and how people are able to draw districts in order to help advantage themselves and disadvantage the other party. Democrats are wanting to get rid of it as the math doesn’t add up. In one case, they got over 50% of the vote, but only 30-39% of the all of the seats that they ran for. I might need to ask someone who is good at math how that even works out because all I know is that the math doesn’t add up.

Problems when you gerrymander
Are caused when people pander
With all one side
They can change the tide
Thus we speak about it with candor

Regardless of if this show gets renewed for another season or not, that will be my last political limerick that I’m putting in this blog. If this show gets a sixth season, I will start putting a new type of poem in the blog instead. It will appear once every post instead of the old poems.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with Peter losing something on his way to some important meeting of some sort. A deal needs to be made on climate change. The team is told to look into what the kids might be hiding from them that they need to know so that it is not dug up as dirt against them during the campaign. Elizabeth meets with Conrad and Russell about the deal. She wants to resign and announce her campaign for the presidency tomorrow. But she is allowed to cancel this at the last minute. She and her husband want to go on a vacation before the campaigning starts.

Jason doesn’t want to tone down his political posts. Alison has admitted to doing weed. Daisy and Jay are talking to the kids and Stevie talks about how she doesn’t think that her dating history matters and that it didn’t prevent her from getting a job at the White House. Elizabeth then mentions her resignation on camera that will happen soon.

In segment two, Elizabeth talks about what she would do regarding the treaty in question. A senator from New Hampshire doesn’t want to advance the treaty as he felt it wouldn’t do anything to change the issue. They need a two thirds majority to pass the treaty. Elizabeth talks to this person later and he wants to get a bill passed in order to vote yes on the treaty. She thinks that the bill won’t work. She does want her husband to scuba dive, but he seems reluctant to do it. She then hears that the treaty will pass and that’s good news. Jay takes Stevie on an apology dinner and to little surprise, they kiss. But both of them agree that they shouldn’t be a couple.

In segment three, Elizabeth got a replacement pin that Pete had lost. It was something that Robert F Kennedy had during his campaign. One could wonder how the world would be different if he hadn’t been assassinated during the 1968 campaign. He could have been president instead of Nixon. Peter had liked the pin because it brought him and his father closer. Mike is told privately by Jay about the kiss that he had with Stevie that he was awkward about.

We then get to a security council dinner that Pete arrives at. Many all have some sort of reaction at the dinner and could all be dying. What is going on? Pete’s life flashes before his eyes and he passes out and it seems like the people who do the food are the perpetrators. The butlers all did it? Isn’t that some sort of overused plot point? Or is it something that never happens? I forget. I might have to look up this one butler stereotype in order to know for sure what it is.

In segment four, the team learns that a chemical agent was used to kill all the UN consul members and it was white supremacists who did this or are claiming responsibility. It turns out that these new people are part of a huge network that spans multiple countries. The presidential candidate from the previous episode talks about how he feels differently over the attack. They aren’t sure who the people are that might have done this, but will have to trend carefully as always.

Elizabeth talks to someone over Skype about what had happened over the people who died in their respective countries. Russia might have caused issues due to their trolls? Do I have that right? I’m not sure that I do or not. “…your free speech is just another weapon that can be bought…” is part of a great quote that this man talks about. McAllister is causing issues and he’s the controversial candidate who is running for office. Elizabeth thinks that McAllister has been bought by Russia but has to trend carefully as usual since this means she could be called out if she isn’t right about this.

In segment five, Elizabeth meets with the president and his team. Owen McAllister might have gotten some illegal contributions from Russia and his campaign manager will be arrested as a result. But they do not know if he has any involvement in it or not. This is way too on the nose to reality. After the news of this breaks, Owen calls it a witch hunt, but still drops out of the presidential race. Elizabeth isn’t sure that they are in the clear yet. Stevie wants to meet with Jay and there are issues. She is in tears and one can only hope that this doesn’t lead to sex like the TV cliché that it often is.

Elizabeth doesn’t want to resign from job and tells Conrad that. But he won’t let her not resign since he feels that she is best to fight for the future. She then talks to Peter’s kids about his life and legacy. We then skip to Virginia two months later. She talks about various things in a speech. She then announces that she’s running for the office of president of the big United States of whatever.

That’s it for this season and we’ll see later if this show returns for another one or not. All that I know is that this blog will continue even if the show doesn’t. I’ll explain how in a later post if it comes to that. If the show is renewed, then not much will change, if anything at all. I’ll be sure to do an update if this blog were to end and explain how it would be different in the future. I don’t think that we have much to be concerned about for the future of this blog. The future of this show, well, I wish that I could be sure that this episode wasn’t the series finale, but it could easily turn into that. We’ll see. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Politics: The Top Ten Republicans Who Should Challenge Trump in 2020

What Republicans might not realize or want to admit is that they probably can’t win with Trump. I do not know why it doesn’t seem like nobody has yet entered the race in order to try to win this nomination and make Trump the first Republican since Chester Alan Arthur or sixth president overall to lose his party’s renomination. It hasn’t happened since voters could help choose the presidential candidates of their parties. Who would I want to see run and why? I might as well get to the list of the ten people that I most think should challenge Trump.

#10 Kim Reynolds- The incumbent governor of Iowa would certainly have an advantage in the primary in that state. She seems like she could be a good enough choice. But I don’t know if she is well known or would even consider running for that office. I wouldn’t know if she would make a dent on this race if she were in it, but I do think that she’d be a good president.

#9 James Comey- I don’t know if he could be remotely close to being good since he has not one bit of experience in terms of politics. Plus, he is too polarizing a figure for both parties to handle and one could only see his run as revenge on his firing. Another reason why he might not work is that he isn’t even a registered Republican anymore. Still, I do wonder how people would react to him being in the race and if some would arrange a protest vote of Trump by voting for him.

#8 John Roberts- He would be a very tricky person to handle in terms of whether or not it would be good for him to run. If he would have to leave the Supreme Court in order to do it, then it is a bad idea to have him run. He has criticized Trump before and we can only hope that there will be major rulings that he does against the continued attack by Trump on our lives. But he might also be all talk and no action. I don’t know if I had enough time to research potential candidates or not so that might be why he isn’t that good a pick.

#7 Chuck Grassley- With him being as old as he is and experienced, he could be what people need who want a real conservative in the race. He did the best he could to bring order to all of the chaos of the Kavanaugh hearings and there is no way that he’d lose a primary in Iowa. You might even find it odd that I like him at all, but he’s on my good side for now and we’ll see if he stays that way or not.

#6 Mike Huckabee- Evangelicals could support him and not be hypocrites like they are with their support of Trump. He is well qualified and would be a good alternative that at least those who are real Christians could support. But since he is in media now, we may have lost him to all of the pundits that often work there.

#5 Bobby Jindal- The former governor of Louisiana should run. He can help himself with the all so important minority vote that you’d think conservatives want as the very fact that he isn’t just another white man running for office should be good for those feed up with the recent racism of the Republican Party.

#4 Rick Santorum- After doing good to a point back in 2012, one might wonder why he failed to make a dent in the 2020 race. But he is very well qualified and is another person that could get the support of Christians who don’t just ignore every non abortion related issue when they vote. I don’t get why such a church going person would do badly against those who should realize that Trump doesn’t represent any Christian values (pro-life positions not withstanding).

#3 Peter Fitzgerald- Most of you will probably have no idea who this person is. He was the US senator from Illinois right before Obama took office. One wonders how history could have gone differently if he actually had a chance at taking his own seat back in 2004. Obama wouldn’t have made it to the senate and wouldn’t have become president either. Not yet, at least. He is still at a good enough age that if he wanted to run again, many moderates would flock to him.

#2 John Kasich- I’ll never understand why there wasn’t more of a push to election him back in 2016 and maybe this time, the voters could actually get it right. When I read about him online and looked at all the positions that he had, nearly all of them lined up with my political beliefs. I do not understand why he is not already in the race, outside of the fact that he might be more of a journalist now than politician and, thus, won’t be interested in running for office again.

#1 Lisa Murkowski- Perhaps the most liberal of all the Republicans currently in the senate, she has sided with the Democrats so many times, I couldn’t think of a reason why they wouldn’t go to her in a primary to get rid of Trump. Obamacare is still around because of her and did not vote for Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. I think that a moderate could do well in office and would only hope that people can see that too. Plus, if she were to run for president, it would be good to remember that he has successfully run a write-in campaign. She’s the Republican that I most respect in the senate right now. And I’d vote for her in the primary, if not the general election too. Many could get behind her.

Well, that’s about it for this post. One can only hope that if a Republican were to enter the race that all the states would do their primaries for president. I mean, they’ll have to do them for all these other races as well too. Some states might force Trump to win the primary there by not having them like they should. This is the same party that complained that things were rigged by the Democrats against Bernie Sanders. I will say that there is someone who has an exploratory committee in the race for president and many would be happen if there were a Republican other than Trump running for office. This is just my pick for who might work.

Episode from 4-14-2019

It seems like this season is probably winding down. This might be the first time that they are not airing any of it during May sweeps. I don’t know the finale schedule for sure yet. I also hope that the episode set for Palm Sunday actually airs then and isn’t delayed any. Now I have cheats as to when I can update my TV blog without having to watch an episode of Survivor on DVD that day.

I don’t have any that apply to the month of April. I will have them from May through October. But I do have to roll for an episode of Survivor: Borneo and watch it this month and I’m going to cut back on some of the movie watching that I would otherwise be doing as a result. I still might roll for movies when I blog about a show that day of the week. I can also get back to updating it weekly in the future if I get the roll this month to happen at a certain time. I may just update it the last day of the month if I just want to and haven’t been able to see it before then. We’ll see what happens.

There is a man in politics that you might have heard about recently called Adam Schiff. I thought that I would do research to try to make sense of why some Republicans were wanting him to resign. Well, he is a Democrat that has been responsible for some of the special counsel investigation into Russia. Why are they wanting him to resign? I’ve no idea. Trump is wanting all of the Democrats who had been part of the Russia investigation to be tried for treason. I’d ask what more ridiculous thing Trump could say or do, but now, it’s not a matter of if but when, where, how, and what.

Why is this so ridiculous? Well, let’s see. Let’s say that the police investigated you for a crime and after all their investigation was over, they decided not to file any charges against you. If you wanted them to be put in jail when they were DOING THEIR JOBS, you’d be a lunatic who should be institutionalized. Well, let’s not go that far. But seriously, Trump wanting people jailed for doing something that was in fact within their rights to do, he’s trying to rewrite the law to benefit him. So many of his supporters did want him because they hated how government was working, I, personally, would prefer that there still be a government left after he’s out of office. Read this story for more info.

I’m a fan of Adam Schiff
But he causes a rift
The wrong tries to rid
In another bid
Full of complete utter shit

I might like Adam Schiff more because he’s named Adam and it’s good to know that there is a good Adam that’s a Democrat in office. There’s also a good Adam who’s a Republican named Adam Schnelting who is a state representative in Missouri. I know him personally and would gladly vote for him if he did live in my district. But I don’t live in that state (yet) so there’s not much of a point in mentioning him, but I do think that he’s a nice person. I might need to learn more about him if I can.

Now going back to the topic of Trump, I’ve started to realize that he is more of a bully that some people can realize. Some bullies are known for cowering in the face of someone standing up to them. Basically, he can dish out insults, but can’t take them. He criticized Obama as much as he wanted to yet doesn’t think that he should be criticized now that he has the same job. Maybe he thinks that he should be the only president who shouldn’t be criticized. Maybe he is deluding himself the way all his supporters are where they are convinced that he’s some sort of god who can do no wrong. He’s done a whole bunch of terrible things, but his supporters will never admit that or see it that way.

I’ve got a lot to talk about in this post since it is Trump and the Republican’s time to be largely talked about in this blog post. I might as well get through all of them that I hopefully can. I might not do a lead-in to all of these articles, but I will mention some of them. One might wonder why someone would still be a Republican after all the terrible things they keep doing over and over again.

What do they stand for? Well, they don’t seem to stand for the everyman. Instead, they stand for the rich corporations, NRA, and anyone who wants to advance their own agenda. In fact, they have done quite a lot of damage starting when Ronald Reagan took office.

One horrible thing that they’ve done is publically supported not one but two people accused of sexual misconduct and offer terrible reasons why they should be supported still. In Georgia, the GOP is trying to rationalize the idea that one shouldn’t have suffer from being accused of misconduct because it turns out that the accused criminals are actually the victims here.

Georgia is far from the only state that’s doing terrible things with the law. A lot of them are doing their forms of voter suppression in some way. I can only hope that if you live in any of these states, that you are not only informed by these links, but are able to stop any of this.

What can be different than the damage that some states are doing are the damages being done to a state by the leader of this country. Ohio is one of the most pivotal states regarding the electoral college and not one Republican who has run for president won the election while losing Ohio. You’d think that Trump would know about a pivotal swing state like that and its powers. He’s given all the more reason for someone like John Kasich to run for office. But at least if he continues doing this, then his likelihood of not winning reelection would become more and more of a certainty.

What probably helps Trump is the fact that there’s a news network that some people exclusively rely on instead of keeping up with various news sources like any good person should. We’ll see if the madness works again, because some would say that it has already begun.

Another problem with Trump is that he doesn’t seem to know what ideas were originally his or not. He might think that everything that he has ever said was originally his and most of us would know that he was not the person who said such things in the past. Here’s proof that he’s stealing things.

One of the reasons that I can’t get behind Republicans is that they don’t seem to care about those that have disabilities. They don’t want those with pre-existing conditions to have health care coverage, which I can only view as a major fuck you to people with autism and various other conditions. I could wake up tomorrow and Obamacare could be gone with no replacement. Here are two articles about why they should know better than what they do regarding those with disabilities.

The biggest problem I’ve seen thus far in this day and age with Republicans is how they are handling the judicial branch of government. It is shameful how they are handling things with it. I don’t even know why people would support their extremist ways with it. Nowadays, they are doing a rush job, the likes of which you’d see college students on a tight deadline do. They are far worse than procrastinators and only do that once they are in the minority. Trust me. They’ll be all in favor of handling the judge process slowly when a Democrat is president again. My worst fear going into the 2020 election would be that there is another Supreme Court vacancy that they would take advantage of.

From March of 2020 onward, they should be following their own past advice and not putting someone on the Supreme Court if there’s a vacancy. But there’s no way they would do that if that situation were to actually arise. I mean, Trump thought that someone like Scalia should replace Scalia. But he didn’t try to get a moderate to replace Anthony Kennedy, may he rest in peace. Honestly, I’d be more comfortable dealing with a member of ISIS then Republicans appointing judges as at least what ISIS does is illegal and not how our flawed government works.

Now to talk about something that isn’t politics: here’s a look back at another old blog post of mine. Here is another old episode of Elementary. I talked about putting it on tape and how I still use a VCR. I also did mention the show of iZombie which will be starting its final season soon and will air on Thursdays early this summer. It was one of those days where a storm affected the watching of shows as I also put the first season finale of The Resident on tape that night as well.

Now if you remember earlier, I talked about what I felt were the nominees for the Golden Gooseberry Awards, which are my awards for the worst in American politics. Well, it is about time that I get to the winners of those awards. Look at the first post this year for the nominees.

The brainless award: Donald Trump

The heartless award: Mitch McConnell

The cowardly lion award: Jeff Flake

Worst Supreme Court decision: Husted versus Randolph Institute

Hall of shame: the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh

Sadly didn’t win: Stacey Abrams

Sadly left office: Joe Donnelly

Worst election winner: Brian Kemp

The sore loser award: Scott Walker

Worst Congressman: Paul Ryan

Worst Senator: Mitch McConnell

Worst governor: Scott Walker

The good riddance award: Scott Walker

The dead to me award: Anthony Kennedy

Worst politician: Mitch McConnell

I finally made the time to check out a video that a YouTube channel called Legal Eagle did on the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. He makes a lot of good points in it. I wish that he could have said more on it than he did, but I think that he did a fairly good job at the whole dissecting of what was going on with some of the issues at hand.

Now let’s get to the last update on March Madness of this year. When I last updated you on this, it was the elite eight game that Michigan State had won. This was one of only two games where I root for any of the teams that win it. Thus, it avoided being an anti-team as it then faced off against Texas Tech in the semi-finals. It lost to Texas Tech that team became an anti-team against the remaining three teams in the tournament that were all anti-teams. At least one was going to lose the championship game. And Texas Tech lost to Virginia. The good news is that anti-teams are always reset at the end and I’ll have none of them next year. As for the teams that I root for, I can only hope that they can win.

Movie update: On Monday, I watched Despicable Me 2. I replaced that with Despicable Me 3. I chose not to watch a move on Tuesday. On Friday, a family visit prevented me from watching anything that long. The same thing happened on Saturday. On Sunday, I watched Enchanted. I replaced that with the movie Ghost Town. I didn’t watch a movie on Monday or Tuesday. On Friday, I watched my grade school graduation DVD. I replaced that with the high school graduation one of mine. On Saturday, I watched Power Rangers: The Ultimate Rangers. I replaced that with North by Northwest. On Sunday, I watched Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It will be replaced by The Little Mermaid.

You might know or have kept track of facebook election countdowns that I do. After mentioning the last one, I noticed that a comment came from someone in Wisconsin and a like on his comment came from someone in Indiana. I am waiting until I see in my memories a mention of the most recent midterms in the countdown to do add first a countdown to someone in 2022 then someone in 2024. These people would not be from these states, but instead, would be from other ones.

There is no one that I want to count down towards from Wisconsin for 2020. But there will be in 2022. There won’t be again in 2024. As for Indiana, there is someone I’m already counting down towards in 2020 and there will be one each in both 2022 and 2024. I was still going to start by mentioning largely unrelated people for now, but might mention people from these two states more in the future. I might also countdown to when these state primaries are happening as well.

Before I continue, I should note that since Eric Grietens resigned and I would have otherwise been donating to his opponent in 2020 were he still in office, I might reassign his donation to some other man or woman in the future. I also think that Eric Holcomb might be term limited if he wins reelection, but I am not yet sure of this and will have to check later. Besides, I don’t have to worry about this if he does not win reelection anyways, which is the goal for now.

Tonight is the night of the fucking Masters. Why do the fucking Masters have to air on TV? They are so dumb and I hate it so much that I have a hard time referring to it as something other than the fucking Masters. It relates to golf and is utterly pointless. I can’t even try to root for someone to win this as it does not have any part that I care about like basketball or even football. I don’t think that much of it was delayed this time as it has caused a 16 minute delay one year and an hour delay another year. I do not think that there is much of a delay this year yet. I think that last year wasn’t bad either. I’ll see if there is a delay on TV at all.

Today’s episode is brought to you by seemingly no delay. We begin with sort of chaos at the McCord house as the kids have to go upstairs and Elizabeth talks about what to do regarding her impending run for president. Russell shows up and says that a rumor of an old affair between Elizabeth and Conrad that had supposedly happened when they were both in the CIA.

She doesn’t want to have the idea that she had slept her way to the top to be out there. She was told to ignore the story so it would die down and go away as a result. Elizabeth hears another story about a jet possibly being sold to a poor country and she has to address this head on in some way. I’m not sure why this is important. And here I was thinking that it could be a better episode.

Blake talks to Daisy about the story about the affair. Elizabeth talks to Ming. This relates to the private plane selling that I don’t quite understand. Elizabeth is then shown footage of a man who is running for president who has racist ways, it seems. They don’t have to be so on the nose with this. This relates to the planes in some way. What?

In segment two, Elizabeth gets home and she doesn’t want to talk about the rumors of an affair when she is more worried about McAllister, the controversial man running for office. Elizabeth expects to be attacked a lot during the election cycle. But aren’t these attacks more than what you’d typically hear from a real election cycle? One of the women doesn’t want to work with the acting secretary and she tells Cat that she doesn’t want to work with him due to rumors of problems with him.

Elizabeth talks to Peter and feels that they should call what was going on in whatever place genocide based on what happened in Rwanda. Henry reads the article when it drops and then meets with some woman that might have information about what could have happened and who could have done this to her. Did it relate to someone at the CIA? Henry says that he talked to Isabelle, this woman, and talks about how she didn’t say she knew about the rumors that she joked about with her. He thinks that this woman might have started the rumor. Governor Hayes from Massachusetts then shows up, wanting to discuss Elizabeth’s plans.

In segment three, Governor Hayes talks about how horrible Owen McAlister is for the Republican Party and he wants Elizabeth to run under this party instead of her own. It took them this long in order to say which party people were from in this show? She talks about this with Blake and this random person that I cannot remember despite him showing up from time and time again. She shows irritation with some of the Republican party ideals, but her campaign manager (I think that’s who he is) feels that she could in fact work with them and be their nominee.

Elizabeth then talks to the woman who is white and has redish hair and glasses. This woman does not want to work with the acting secretary as there are people accusing him of misconduct. Elizabeth wants to look at the names and allegations, but not reveal who they are. Elizabeth then talks to Isabella about how the article. Not much can be gathered from that yet.

In segment four, the news is on and they talk about an immigration bill that Jason gets upset about. We then get to Cat talking to the man who might become secretary of state. He gets upset about it and I do not remember what his name is.

The problem with a country (Myanmar?) relates to them turning tanks on their own people. While talking about this issue, Elizabeth talks to Conrad about whether she was favored by him or not. He explains that he did, but not for sexual or otherwise bad reasons. Elizabeth is an independent and will run on that platform. Not even Bernie Sanders would do this. But is Bernie an Independent likes he claims?

In segment five, Bailey had resigned. This was the possibly new secretary who never took office. But at lot of people talk about this. Thompson, a black woman, will be the new deputy. Tampons will now be put in the bathroom. Elizabeth then has a sit down with Jane Pauley, a CBS news journalist. Elizabeth does not say that she is running for president, talks down the rumor of an affair with Conrad, mentions the attacks in that country, and mentions the problems that Owen, a senator, is causing. She will do all that she needs to in order to save the great experiment of our nation, namely, the US.

On the next Madam Secretary, the season finale happens and I couldn’t stand what all was going on in the promo. Did any of you catch anything of importance? I don’t think that I did, sadly. I guess that we will see what happens and we’ll find out later if the next episode is the last one or not. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 3-31-2019

You should know by know that there is the potential for me to create other blogs. I don’t know if I ever will create more at the moment or not. Bob’s Burgers seems like the next in line based on a dream that I once had about having a blog about it. That is more or less why I started this blog. There are a lot of CBS shows and a few CW shows that I might want to create blogs about. I don’t know which ones I’ll do just yet as I’d have to look up what specific shows I can do and what ones I’m actually a fan of.

Why does this matter? Well, if this show were to end, I’d want some current show that has some sort of a political stance to it that I could write about politics about and blog about the episodes of it, of course. I might just want to do a purely political blog, although I don’t know yet if I will. There are just not a lot of other shows that fit that mold, really. I could still do political posts in this blog if the show were to end at the end of this season. But I couldn’t post about everything that I would want to like I do now in this blog by putting random things in each post.

I’ve stated before how I might have to discontinue certain posts in this blog. Well, due to lack of views on the post that I last did on it, I’m discontinuing posts on the Illinois attorney general race. I still might talk about it again in regular posts, but I won’t have any special posts about it again. Now I still might do posts on other state’s attorney general races, but I don’t think that I will yet. I’d only consider doing that if I lived in a different state in the future.

Now I need to give you a March Madness update on the teams that I care about. I was able to find out what some of what has happened so far is. Oklahoma was eliminated in round two by Virginia. This will make Virginia an anti-team this time around. Unlike in the NFL, I don’t ever keep track of who could stay as an anti-team next season. North Carolina was still in this as of the sweet sixteen. Kansas was eliminated in round two by Auburn who then faced North Carolina in the tournament. Auburn is still in this so they are an anti-team now. Meanwhile, I know that Duke has won their way to the elite eight as I was watching the end of that game. How do fans of them even live? Their hearts have got to be racing as they avoid a last minute loss or overtime.

Now let’s go back and look at an old episode of The Good Wife. In the following blog post, I talked about the day when there was no president (4-5-1841). That won’t happen today since after Kennedy’s death, they made it so that the vice-president takes over instantly instead of after the oath of office. Well, that is my understanding at least. There still could be a gap should there not be a vice-president when the president dies in office. Also talked about in the episode was the bad voting machines that were featured and could have gone and affected the election. I know that such a thing could happen and has happened in the past.

I did talk some about the gay stuff such as the cake case that made it to the Supreme Court. I still don’t know why these people couldn’t just go somewhere else and get cake from these people. I also don’t quite get why they feel the need to make this baker suffer because of his decision. Are they really trying to ruin his life and his business just because he won’t make them a wedding cake?

If you remember reading this blog towards the end of the election cycle of 2018, you would have known that I talked about boycotting YouTube because I was mad at it for making me watch political ads before the videos that I wanted to see. Well, I actually made a YouTube video about this and posted it on my channel. Here’s a link to it in case you were wanting more understanding of my issues with this.

I know that I should be talking more about the Democratic race for president here, but there’s not much to say that I know since I have not done any research since the last time I talked about it. Maybe I should make every other post about Democrats and the others about Republicans. I’ll even talk about the race in Kentucky for governor later in 2019. There will come a point (if the show lasts) where I’ll talk about all of the races I’m keeping track of for 2020. Of course, I might have to split the main people with those that I call the lesser ones. I think that the 2020 Democratic primary for president just might be the most important primary in any party’s history in this country.

There could be problems in 2020
Just Trump winning again would be plenty
But still we can hope
We won’t have to cope
With more of Trump’s insanity

Movie update: On Monday, I watched Toy Story 2 and replaced that with Toy Story 3. On Tuesday, I saw Taken and replaced that with Spaceballs. On Friday, I watched Blast from the Past. I replaced that with a DVD of my grade school graduating class. On Saturday, I watched Oliver and Company. I replaced that with Power Rangers: The Ultimate Rangers. On Sunday, I watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I replaced that with Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

I check the game before primetime and Duke is playing Michigan State. The score is tied. It is around 5:42 when I’m looking at this for the first time. I check to see what the other networks are airing. I also see that one of my anti-teams will be eliminating the other one at the semi-finals. You might think that if Duke loses that Michigan State would be an anti-team. Well, since this game is airing before primetime on CBS, I’m going to root for the winner of it even if it isn’t Duke.

The score seems to remained tied for a while as there is some back and forth between who has the ball in the game. Duke then takes the lead in the game. They then lose the lead. This is how quickly that the game can change in basketball. Michigan State keeps the lead for a while.

Here’s what the epg says is the program for 60 Minutes tonight: A couple who lost their daughter in a mass shooting devote their lives to helping survivors; scientists try to recreate the Ice Age in part of Siberia to combat a climate catastrophe; a Connecticut prison experiment inspired by Germany’s system [of prisons]. After the game is over, I’ll just be watching FOX until 7.

Duke takes the lead later. There were issues with the shot clock. I don’t quite get what happened, but it paused the game for the moment. The game is really close going towards the end of it. Michigan State has the lead with less than ten seconds on the clock. A penalty shot was missed and Duke is unable to tie it so Michigan State winds up winning the game. Now I only hope they win the next two games. Just as long as neither Auburn nor Virginia wins the championship, then I’m happy. And I know that both won’t be winning the next round as they will be facing each other.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 17 minute delay. We begin with Elizabeth talking about the issues that climate change bonding with the previous episodes of this season. It turns out that this is practice in front of her team for a huge speech later. Elizabeth talks to a man from Poland, I think. It can be hard to keep track of which countries are focused on. There are once again issues with refugees. And this all relates to an agreement of sorts. They need to just stop remaking such similar themes over and over again. Why aren’t there more original things to talk about?

Matt and Jay seem to have a disagreement while Nina is talked to by Matt. Nina is the person who has kept showing up in episodes as an assistant like person at the White House. Alison is with Stevie and it turns out that Alison is dating a person that is rivals of sorts with her mother. Nina has to do the work of Matt and gives it to a person who seems to intimidate her into crying. The man from Poland doesn’t want to sign a treaty and could be racist in some way. Elizabeth talks to a person from six years ago. I guess she hasn’t appeared on the show before as this show has not been that old yet. She wants to make sure that this woman is able to help in some way that I’m not so sure of how just yet. She talks to someone on the phone and gets shot, thinking that it is her driver who is there.

In segment two, we learn that the woman who was shot was okay. An inside job was to blame. Dimco is the name of the Polish leader. They don’t know whether to work with his government or not. Elizabeth talks to him over Skype and tries to figure out if he should be drawn out or not. She thinks that he had lied about Lena and wants to risk an extraction. People take Lena in an ambulance. It seems like they get her surrounded by police, but she isn’t there. Russell talks about how to figure out the problems with the situation from here.

In segment three, many reporters want to talk to Elizabeth. Lena is safe for now. Elizabeth learns that she might be in risk of breaking US relations with the UN. She talks to Dimco about what all she thinks should be done. She wants him to resign, but he is angered over this and other suggestions. Russell does want to sanction Poland over this attack. More stuff happens that I don’t quite get yet. Elizabeth talks to Peter, the person who talked to Nina, about more of the issue that he caused. They are putting far too much into all these episodes.

Did they just start a scene from Parenthood? Everyone is talking at once and I can’t make anything out of all the conversations outside of everyone in the McCord family learning of Alison’s relationship. We get to Owen, whoever that is, talking on a TV show and I can’t get much of anything out of this.

In segment four, Henry talks to (crap! What’s his name? I should know this) the one senator we see on and off again in a lot of different episodes. They want to make sure that their kids are off limits to the press. (Of course, if they work with their parent in their administration, then they should be fair game like anyone who works with people.) Henry wants to make sure that he works well on a deal. We then get to Peter, the ambassador, talking to Nina. He wants to make amends with Nina.

Elizabeth learns that a 60 vote majority will be voting in favor of sanctions. Dimcois is causing issues in his country. Alison has broken up with Lucas, although she questions whether or not they were dating in the first place. My only relationship thus far wasn’t a serious one, but I say it still counts. Elizabeth says that she found a great person who wants to be a better person of herself and that person was Henry. Alison wants the same thing too. Elizabeth talks to Peter and Lena shows up again.

In segment five, Lena gives a speech about how she was saved from her country and what she wants to do relating to what’s going on. She was able to save the deal and Dimco will resign. Russell thinks that Elizabeth is ready (probably for running for president, but they don’t say what). Lucas is still with Alison after all and he does something for them. Maybe the two families will get along and without both Lucas and Alison killing themselves to do so. Why would Elizabeth have to resign from office in order to run for president? That doesn’t make sense. As far as I know, William Howard Taft didn’t have to do that. Why would it be different now? At least we know what Elizabeth wants.

In two weeks, Elizabeth will announce that she is running for president. Isn’t she already? I thought that I heard that Elizabeth Warren was in the race. Oh, wait. That’s a different Elizabeth. Still, I guess that we will see what plot they will make from it and if she really won’t be Secretary of State anymore. Just be warned that the fucking Masters are on April 14th so shows could be delayed yet again. I will see you at that time unless the show is delayed too much that it doesn’t air at all if it is delayed that much. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
