Episode from 10-27-2019

With my blogs, you might notice how some things relating to it wind up in other blogs. One blog can cause another to be updated. Plus, I have cheats that work on certain days that are currently in this blog. I should tell you some about what’s going on with my TV blog at times here. But I won’t do that at the moment. Know that the Christmas boycott of the year for me is going to some random local store in my area that doesn’t matter as much for promoting a holiday sale.

At first, I was thinking that I was happy since there was finally a comment in this blog for the first time ever. Only, it was in a foreign language. I was worried that it might be a trollish comment of sorts. Instead, it was the type of spam you’d typically see offering false offers of jobs. I translated it to English just to see what it was. At least it wasn’t hateful comments so that’s a bit of a plus.

What I’m a bit surprised by is that Kristen Gillibrand is not in the presidential race. After not qualifying for a debate, she dropped right out of the race. I guess she wanted to make sure that others who had more of a chance could actually do well. Maybe she should run again if all goes well and she still wants to. Otherwise, she can stay where she is in the US senate.

In this old Good Wife episode and blog post, I talk about different things such as that blog’s ties to this blog that it still has. It is less linked now, but it could be a while before it is truly separate. I use different tape recordings a lot still to this very day. The episode has a problem because of taping over things, but that is how I’m able to see as much as I can nowadays. I also talk about a former client possibly linking to an old case in this blog, but would have to rewatch the series again to know if it was or not.

It seems that Trump is trying to bury anyone and everyone that he can as he tries to get rid of all who are working against him or even just anyone he feels could be blamed for his problems. I believe that this is best described as instinctive drowning response as he would (unlike a drowning person, quite intentionally) pull anyone down with him that he can. Surprising, he is turning against Mike Pence, his own vice president. I wonder if he’ll even switch running mates, but hope that he at least has the sense to find a new one before dumping Pence, something he would only find out after Trump tweets about it as Trump has yet to fire someone in person.

If both the president and vice-president leave office before a new vice-president is appointed, this would lead to the Speaker of the House, in this case, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, becoming president. I do not actually think that Pence is in danger, but it would be awesome to me at least if she were to take control of the presidency. I can’t imagine that she’d run for reelection if she ascended to the office. But I do feel like writing a poem about the lady.

Nicer than people think she is
Adam (namely me) thinks she’s a great person
Nearly everyone hates her, though
Can’t they see that she is great?
You’d think that she would be a better president than Stan or Walter
People should like her calm demeanor
Even if they don’t like her
Loser, she is not
Overcoming many obstacles
She has remained for quite a long time
I hope she stays longer than Trump

A common refrain from the right even after Hillary Clinton’s loss was “But her emails!” It doesn’t matter what Republican scandal emerged. It would always come back to that. Well, now you can come here and share this link with people who ask that and you can tell them that she was cleared. And her email scandal will have negative consequences. Just not for her.

Daily Kos tends to have non Christians writing for it a whole lot. Maybe they are Atheists or maybe they are just people who criticize the Christian faith. So it makes me glad that a Christian on the site would also be a Democrat and even explain why he is that way in a post. I plan to write a post using the bible and using various verses to explain why a Christian shouldn’t vote Republican. I did a previous post about that in my Good Wife blog, but the end result was against Trump.

I should post the following link on facebook, but don’t know if I will. I’ll probably just post this blog post in its stead, for now, at least. This is Adam Decker… Never mind. White supremacists should not be the people doing background checks on facebook or any site.

Movie update: On Saturday, I watched The Sound of Music. I replaced that with The Return of Jafar. On Sunday, I watched Rat Race. I replaced that with The Pelican Brief. That was pretty much all the movie watching that happened. It is nice being able to see both during a weekend and not having as many lists as I did at the start of the year, if you remember that then.

While checking the games on TV, I see that on one of my CBS affiliates, the Cleveland Browns are playing the New England Patriots. The fucking Patriots are winning. FOX isn’t airing football when I check it. They aren’t even airing what they say they are airing. I do notice that the World Series is still going on. I am rooting for the Astros this time around as the other team beat the one I like. My other CBS affiliate is airing the same fucking Patriots game. I try to watch other things in the meantime.

It’s bad enough that CBS ever airs doubleheaders. It is worse when they last beyond 30 minutes. And what makes it the worst of all is that the fucking Patriots are playing, and winning, this game. What is taking so long that they can’t just decide to end the game? I have largely been watching PBS during this game. I wonder what I’d rather watch or do than see the Patriots play. To me, if I spent an hour in jail, that would be more fun to me than watching the Patriots win. Now if they lost, that wouldn’t be so bad for me. I always like to see them lose.

I abandon the rest of the Nature special to watch the rest of 60 Minutes, having only missed the intro. I can only assume that the fucking Patriots won again. With no FOX shows that I care about this time around, I’ll watch the late airing CBS shows and record the rest for later.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 41 minute delay. We begin with Elizabeth addressing a crowd of people about a man she is giving a medal of honor to. She talks to Daisy about this. She is still taking a martial arts class despite dumping the man who got her to start it.

The recipient of the Medal of Honor talks about problems at the VA. Henry wants this man to talk at a senate committee over the funds to ensure that something might happen. Henry was going to do this himself, but decided against it. We see some of Dmitri, talking to his sister about wanting to become an American citizen. She wants him to talk to Stevie about their potential relationship.

Daisy talks more to the committee of people investigating the president about when she assaulted a man at a bar. He was clearly being an asshole and she was using self defense. Henry gets to where the committee is at with the veteran only to learn that they had left for the day. The vice-president, Morrow Harm (is that the name?), was the person who advised that the meeting be cancelled.

In segment two, Elizabeth is doing an egg race with children. She loses the race, probably on purpose. Mike thinks that she is doing this for no reason since press isn’t there. He’s wrong, of course, as only the most narcissistic people would want press with them everyone, especially if they are president. Henry talks to Russell about the senate issue.

Stevie is with her boyfriend when a random girl wants a picture with her. Henry then talks with the vice-president over why he didn’t want the vote to happen as he called it grandstanding. Dmitri’s sister finds Stevie and they talk some. Daisy continues with the meeting and they think that she got special favor from the police since they wouldn’t want to charge her otherwise. Stevie is then seen in the bar when Dmitri shows up. I think that’s what happened at least. It was a bit hard to tell.

In segment three, continues right where we left off. Polly is the name of Dmitri’s sister. We get to see the two of them talk to each other. Will they wind up with each other? Or will they be more like April and Jackson where it only seems like they should be together despite all the problems they have. Stevie still wants to go camping and be careful with Bears. Brad is the name of the Medal of Honor recipient. Henry and Elizabeth talk to each other about what’s going on. This leads to a massage. Stevie talks about camping with her boyfriend, Griffin, as she walks in on her parents in the moment.

Elizabeth learns that Jay has an exit strategy for her in case the meeting doesn’t go well. She was also a bit worried earlier that Stevie was overselling herself. She talks to a Kentucky senator about the bill in question. He says that he doesn’t know how he will vote yet. They talk, but not all is seen. Elizabeth might have had too much to drink. Daisy and Jay deal with the situation. A photo op has to be changed to being with the vice-president. Brad gets irritated when caught in a traffic jam and stands on top of a car when the cops show up. He seems to be shot when they think he has a gun.

In segment four, it is revealed that this person was, in fact, killed by the cops. It was suicide by cop. We see Henry and Elizabeth talking to each other about missing the signs of PTSD. Elizabeth has triggers of sorts while listening to music. They remember the bombing from last season. Mike wants to use this man’s death to their advantage. Is that a good idea, though? Henry agrees with Mike. Daisy is told about the committee she was talking to. Russell thinks that she might have lied to them. What she needs to do is make sure that the record is set straight.

In segment five, Daisy talks about Claudine, a foreign national who was at this event that Daisy forgot to mention was there. Stevie and Griffin talk about tick repellant and what to do with that. We then get to Henry talking to the senate committee about what Brad had written and was going to say. We also see the funeral for Brad going on as well. Henry gets applause for the speech.

Carlos, the vice-president, is upset with himself over not letting Brad talk to the committee. Maybe he could have changed things. But the bill still passes. Daisy wants to explain to Russell why she left Claudia’s name off the incident report of what had gone on.

On the next Madam Secretary, there is a National Security situation that might have caused issues due to what Daisy did. Or maybe there are other issues as well. It can be hard to tell. But it might be more of an emotional episode than usual. I guess we’ll see what happens later, if it is clear. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 10-20-2019

I have a job currently that is taking away a lot of time I used to have to watch shows on Mondays. I will have a chance to see Monday shows at least once or twice before this temporary job ends. But this means missing shows on Mondays that I like to watch. I have not been able to see much, but can still catch some of the shows I like or record others for later. Still, all the shows that I have seen in the past that have aired on Mondays are 9-1-1, Bull, The Good Doctor, and Black Lightning. I also might want to check out the shows of Bluff City Law, All Rise, and Prodigal Son if I’m able to see them. But I might not like them and have yet to know for sure just yet.

I promised a former facebook friend and cousin-in-law that once the Trump administration was over, I would post the five best things about Trump on my page. While I think that I can get to five, it does help that he signed a great law on autism. Now if only he weren’t against protections for those with pre-existing conditions like those with autism…

In today’s look back at an old blog post, here’s a link from my Elementary blog. In it, I talk about some of the books I read. Sometimes I read Train. There are many books by that name so hopefully you can guess which one it is. I also have only four books left before I’m done with the bible. Something that is worth noting is that this is a poorly done recap, like far too many of them are. If I have two laptops and I have the show recorded on one, I should have just used the other to write the post. I also talk about the power of background music and reference the film 8 Heads in a Duffle Bag. I have seen a small part of the film, but otherwise know nothing about it.

Could the Trump presidency be in danger of ending before January 20th, 2021? I wish that I could be 100% sure that he would leave office on that date. I am about 60% sure that he will leave then. But now with all the Ukraine scandal going on, I believe that it is possible that he leaves office before his term ends. But I do think that I can write a good poem about the man.

Deplorable does not describe his followers, but it does describe him
Oh, how I want his presidency to end
No one should support this lunatic
All should shun him and his evil ways
Liberals know better than to support him
Dumb people see zero wrong or lies in him
Terrible are his ways, indeed
Russia overshadowed his campaign
Ukraine might be his undoing
Man I cannot wait until his term is over
Please let this presidency end!

When it comes to the Kentucky governor race, the unpopular incumbent Republican Matt Bevin is up against Democrat Andy Beshear. I highly recommend voting for Andy Beshear in the race as he is the far better candidate. I only wish that I could donate to him, but can’t afford to right now.

Sometimes there are political people that would be dead to me due to things that they did. There is not really anyone I feel that strongly about this year. But if I had to add someone, it would be Rick Santorum. If only I lived on my own. I could make tombstones as Halloween decorations of the living people who are dead to me. Some might see it as a cruel thing to think so I’d have to see what others think of it, but only if I ever do it. I probably won't though. But I might do them as facebook cover photos.

I wish that I could have been talking about all of the Republican related things two posts ago. But I might not be able to do that all in this post depending on how much time I have to do things. I will try to do at least half of what is in this post now if I can. But I might not even get that far. Still, I’m going to do some of what I can and will hope for the best with the rest. I don’t have as much time to spend on these things and I wish I did. But I should be doing more important things in life instead.

People need to remember some important facts about the gun control debate as there are lots wrong and stuff going on in terms of misinformation going there. Thus, we need to make sure that some of us know what is going on so we learn.

So much of what Trump does is dumb. Here’s a story of him mocking someone that he thought was a critic, but turned out to be supporter. Sadly, this isn’t the first time that this has happened. I wonder if they still are supporters after this. Sadly, they might be.

I don’t know why Mitch McConnell isn’t trying to hide his shady connections to Russia. He is okay with all sorts of interference and it isn’t a coincidence that he is up for reelection next year. I wonder if Rick Scott, the incumbent class one senator of Florida, and Josh Hawley, the incumbent class one senator of Missouri, got where they are because of Russia. I think that it is possible, but not certain. I have no idea if Mitch has had much help from Russia thus far or if they are certain to help him this time. They probably will help.

Republican’ts won’t even pretend anymore that they want mass shootings to stop. You’d think that it would be something with bi-partisan support against. But they won’t accept the fact that racist people like white supremacists are responsible. Instead, they think it is the left to blame.

Some people may not believe still today that black people have dealt with more issues that people of other races. For instance, some were held at gunpoint for holding a fundraiser. It’s bad enough that we get blacks being shot for little to no reason other than their skin color. We don’t need horrible issues like this showing up all the time those people are simply living their lives.

While many believe that mental illness is the main issue that causes mass shootings, what they do not know is that there are other problems that can cause it instead. If you don’t believe me, just read this article about it. And sorry for not remember what all these links say.

There are more issues, of course, with Trump. It seems that people were stuck with a choice at a place where he visited. While they were not required to work that day, they either wouldn’t get paid for it or they’d have to listen to Trump speak. I would easily choose going without pay as I’m not sure that I wouldn’t be a heckler in the audience who would just be taken out and fired. I’d get to keep my job and my dignity by not listening to that man.

The media seems to be doing a terrible job nowadays at holding politicians accountable for wrongdoing or other inaction. They just give them free publicity by reporting on controversies without downright condemning these people. They also won’t let the gun control debate go anywhere. That is where we need to see people holding others accountable for what they do or don’t do.

You might hear a lot about Trump’s economy being great. Well, it hasn’t really been that way. It seems that whenever a Democrat is in charge and the economy is doing well, the Republicans say nothing about it until one of their own is in charge and they can claim the accomplishment as their own. And if the economy sucks when they are in control, they say nothing about it until a Democrat is in charge and it is suddenly all that person’s fault.

As you can tell, the economic upturn of Obama was doomed to fail at some point, especially with a man like Trump in charge. Things will start going badly for him and he will always find someone else to blame under all circumstances, even if it doesn’t make a lick of sense.

While I have yet to be able to see a Democratic debate, I can only hope that I will at some point. I do want to know if I’m with the right candidate or not. What I do know is that they keep getting asked a question that Republicans never are: How do we pay for it? Here’s the answer:

There should be an easy way to solve the problem of school shootings or other mass shooting issues. But since that isn’t going to happen since the NRA has Republican’ts wrapped around their fingers, we get to have architects design school buildings that will prevent this sort of thing from happening since keep guns out of the wrong hands is too complicated.

A good economy isn’t going to last and it has to suck when you are the reason why it is doing badly or starting to. When you get to having issues with what you were doing and there are problems. Why are there people thinking that the rich shouldn’t have to pay more taxes? It makes no sense. And it is doing poorly for the economy thus far.

Mitch McConnell just does not like working with others at all. He works so terribly with others, that it is surprising that he and Trump get along so well outside of the treatment of the Kurds. Mitch is already planning a war against the next Democratic president. Hopefully, it is not one he gets to see as I urge Kentuckians to vote that Mitch out.

All Trump seems to like doing is either gloat about his supposed greatness or go on angry rants about all that he finds wrong at some point. If you have a legitimate complaint about him, he goes ballistic. I hope that I don’t wind up like that too much. One should be able to hear criticism without being angered and not seeing their point. The last thing that I want to do is be like Trump.

What people might not know about voting rights and being imprisoned my hurt both them and the way the voting system in this country works as a result. Now I’m still on the fence regarding whether or not I like J B Pritzker, my state’s governor. But things like this make me like him.

Every time there are issues with mass shootings happening, there seems to be nothing at all changed. Surely, no one wants them to happen. You’d think that both parties would agree to doing whatever it would take to stop one from happening again. But that’s not what happens. Plus, it is often the blatant racism that Republican’ts do that is the rationale behind why mass shooters do what they do.,

Trump is certain to leave office at some point in time. It is likely that he’ll be out of here on January 20th 2021. But he could be out of here sooner and that would be even better for us. Read this and you will know how and why his presidency could be ending sooner rather than later.

I will be sharing a lot about why gun control that’s more effective than what we’ve been getting thus far in this blog and possibly others in the future is needed in this country. I don’t get why there aren’t more ways of limiting the NRA’s power. We can actually get things done.

It will be important trying to figure out a way of beating Trump in all 50 states. One should try to beat him in all states, even those so red that you wouldn’t think they would flip. All states are important. One should work on making sure states of all colors turn blue for 2020. And he’s how to beat him in just one of the states where he did well last time.

Another important thing relating to Trump is that he must be called out any and every time that he has lied, does lie, or will lie. If you are interviewing him and he lies, you need to call him out on it. And you don’t need any reason why you shouldn’t do this.

Switching topics, there are many issues with sex crimes and how they are handled. Read this article and you might get outraged over the horrible handling of just one of the cases that is going on. At the very least, they could have expelled both students. But just punishing the victim and not the criminal leads to a horrible, backwards world where the victims are the criminals and the criminals are the victims.

I don’t even remember some of these articles after I first read them. I just knew that I wanted to use them in my blog as I liked them. Some of them could have worked for either post, probably to be honest in the end, but I put them in here as it was easier to transfer it at the time.

Whether you heard about it or not, Trump said some loony things such as being the messiah and he had issues with mental health as a result. Sometimes, I think it is possible that Trump might be the anti-Christ. He probably isn’t (didn’t the bible say it would be popular?) and I certainly don’t want to spread rumors when we had enough of that crap with the last president. Still, I’m almost hoping that he has a mental condition like paranoid schizophrenia so that his craziness makes sense. The only thing that I know for sure is wrong with his mental health is narcissism.

I don’t know how so much of these links wound up in this dumb order. All this link is about is another way of saying that Mitch McConnell has links to Russia and his state and our country is suffering as a result of this. Sorry for the redundancy.

Brett Kavanaugh will never be able to escape the stigma of what he was accused of, especially when he is accused of even more problems. Why would anyone wave their penis around at a party? Even if you were drunk, which he claims not to have been ever (I think), that seems so gross and disturbing even. I would say that we might not have heard the end of this yet. Who knows what could have been hidden from the public thus far?

It is no secret that Trump would be proud to take this country to another war. He knows that most of the time, the support for a president goes up after a new war has started. But he also knows that there might not be any good reason to start a war without lying about the reason. We can hope that this is what doesn’t happen in the end. He thought better of the Iran attack. Can he think better of other bad things that he might do and not do them?

Trump might not know a bad idea most of the time and he certainly loves to defend his bad decisions, even when such defense makes little to no sense. Those who might have attempted to rape someone are not victims of a smear campaign. Well, they might be, but probably aren’t. Based on what I know, people are more likely to not report a rape than falsely accuse one of it.

I do want to talk about the Mississippi governor race for a bit. It is happening in 2019 and not later. After the Republican primary, Tate Reeves won. There might be just a bit of shadiness there since there might have been issues that got him elected or at least seemed to benefit him. He had some of the votes seem to go his way when people were trying to vote for the other candidate. But there had been no signs of foul play as far as I know. Still, Jim Hood is the Democrat in the race and I’m wondering if as long as Tate Reeves doesn’t win, we’ll know for sure that he either didn’t rig things or wasn’t successful at it. Of course, even if Tate wins, that doesn’t prove that he did anything wrong. It is just a possibility. If you are able to vote in that state for governor, vote for Jim Hood.

If at first you don’t succeed, try try again, right? Well, repealing the affordable care act is and remains quite a terrible idea. It hasn’t helped Republican’ts as much as it could have. Yet that is exactly what they are trying to do again in their campaigning. It probably won’t work so they won’t get points for trying. Maybe if one of them had a good replacement plan, it would work out. But they don’t have one despite all this time of wanting to get rid of it.

Trump doesn’t seem to realize that money comes from places and isn’t unlimited. Even though the Supreme Court ruled that corporations can spend unlimited money in a race, they don’t have that much money. No one’s money is unlimited. But that won’t stop Trump from not caring about how much of what money he wants to spend is taken from other things. And it can be insulting, really.

If I ever need a reminder on how dickish the Republican Kentuckians tend to be, all I have to do is read this article and remember the ad that Matt Bevin has ran. We don’t need racist people in this world, but at least all of them nowadays tend to be Republicans. Why is fear mongering their thing now?

I might have already talked about this and duplicated this link by accident. Whether I have or haven’t, this is a good story that isn’t too political in some ways as it explains that a man has returned to his home country after originally being deported from it.

One of the worst parts about the Trump administration is that most of the good Republicans, if there were any, are leaving or are set to leave. This leaves a new party in its place: the Trump party. If there is one thing that Republicans need to stop doing, it’s what my friend suggests: take Reagan off of your political signs and put up Trump instead. He’s who your party is now and few are doing anything to change that from being anything else.

There’s a reason that Mitch McConnell is now being known as Moscow Mitch. He might not live down that nickname. His ties with Russia are worse than Trump’s ever were. Whatever will keep him in office seems to be what he’ll do to stay in control.

A possibly hard vote for any Democrat is if they were told by the angel of destiny that they could get rid of either Trump or Brett Kavanaugh successfully by impeachment, but not the other. It wouldn’t be too hard when you remember that the presidency has term limits and isn’t a job for life. There are more issues with the crazed seeming frat boy who went on to serve on the Supreme Court that I hope get to be addressed in the future. One can only hope they can both be impeached. But I’d want Brett to be impeached more since he might have actually done more illegal things than we first thought.

When I thought of what two senators not from states I declare an interest in I might donate to in the 2020 election process, Susan Collins wasn’t one of them that I wanted to go after. Now that doesn’t mean that I don’t have issues with her. I sent her an email and asked for a response. I never got one. I didn’t even get a standard “thank you for commenting on issues” email. Susan has now become one of the Republicans the rest of the party she represents wants to continue to stay in office. I still don’t have the hatred for her that others do. But I don’t like her anymore.

Voter suppression is alive in this country in various states. Voter ID laws are one of the most common ways they are used. I might do a post on how voter fraud just doesn’t happen the way Republican’ts think they do. This is the same party who refused to believe that Russia might have interfered in the election, despite all the evidence that they did. Still, we need to fight these laws.

Trump is having quite the strange relationship with China. He starts a trade war with them and then he accuses them of trying to affect the 2018 midterms. Now, he wants them to help him in the elections in 2020. And he did this in front of cameras that he knew were filming him and would report this straight to the news sources that they are.

After the facebook data breach scandal, many people continued to use facebook and many will. I, for one, will keep using it as often as I’m able to. They had a simple and good rule for political ads. But they will not pull one of Trump’s ads full of false information.

There are so many issues with the elections that could happen or might happen in the future. We will see for sure what will and could happen. I doubt that Trump will win and am pretty sure that it is likely he won’t be on the ballot at all. He doesn’t want our country to decide the election.

I want to hear someone without preexisting conditions tell me why they don’t think those who have them shouldn’t have health care. I’d love to know why they want us to suffer. They have nothing to worry about and will never understand what it is like to be denied coverage because of something they were born with or otherwise can’t control. The Supreme Court may again decide on whether or not the affordable care act is constitutional. We can only hope they vote the same way as before. Trump is wanting to make the law go away, but not until after 2020.

Movie update: On Saturday, I watched the last of the crossover tape. I’m amazed with how I’m always able to watch the Halloween crossover between Bones and Sleepy Hollow, the last thing on the tape, when it is Halloween. I replaced it with I am Sam. I didn’t watch a movie on Sunday.

I don’t know what went wrong with Chuck Grassley as he is honestly a Republican I can still respect at times. But he is still causing problems such as giving the highly violate Lindsey Graham more reign on the judges of this country than he should have. Thus, Lindsey seeks to prove Trump innocent of any and all wrongdoing that he has done.

Florida made a law that said that former felons can vote again. This was a law made by the voters of the state themselves. But the people in charge weren’t sure that they wanted the law so they came up with illegal obstacles to stop it.

Trump rarely actually keeps his promises and does his deals right. Whether or not he means to or tries to keep them, he goes against deals all the time. He doesn’t do what he should and that can be quite a problem to those paying attention who don’t want what he has to offer.

At around 5:42, I checked to see what games were on TV. One of my CBS affiliates was showing the news so they will be airing this show on time. I tune into FOX to see what they are airing. They are airing a Bears and Saints game. The Saints are winning. When I go to my other CBS affiliate, they are also airing the news, but a different news than the other one. I switch back to the game.

At 6, I decide to watch and stick with 60 Minutes and check the game during commercial breaks. They might not be airing as interesting stories as they could be. But that doesn’t really matter as much. As long as they are airing shows on time, I’ll probably be watching it over anything else.

I stick with primetime and learn that the Saints won the game. The Bears were able to score a lot of points as they tried to turn the tide, but they didn’t get close enough to change much of anything in terms of what they could do to win. Now let’s get to the episode.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with Stevie arriving late for dinner, having gotten lost in the White House. Elizabeth and Henry are now empty nesters. What happened to their kids? Have they just been written out of the show, along with a lot of other people we use to know? Will we get an explanation why they aren’t here? Henry thinks that they should get a dog. They go through a lot of different possibilities. The team is then called into the situation room.

They might be able to catch the guy from the poisoning of the people at the UN from the previous season finale. They might have to resort to using drone warfare. There could be a military conflict. Elizabeth doesn’t like any of the possibilities. We then return to the senate intelligence committee. They have one of those? I’m surprised that there are intelligent people on the senate. Jay talks to his on again off again boyfriend about moving in potentially. Trevor, this man, seems to have issues with the relationship moving too slowly.

Jay talks to his parents on the phone who don’t know even the gender of his loved one. Perhaps the word is betrothed. Back in the present, Elizabeth and more people talk about what to do with their evil guy and how they should deal with it. How dangerous is technology? There appears to be an arms race going on now. They need to protect America while they still can.

In segment two, we get to Elizabeth seeing her new dog, Delilah. Hey there, Delilah, what’s it like in Washington? Elizabeth wants the dog taken away as it is too young and needs to be with her mother and litter makes. Jay continues telling the story of meeting people at Martha’s Vineyard. Stevie is then mistaken for Jay’s betrothed. This is getting more awkward than a romantic comedy. Elizabeth talks to Peter in a dream. Peter was fixing a car in the dream. She couldn’t work the phone in the dream. Can anyone do that? There are things that you just can’t do in dreams.

Elizabeth once again goes through options in the situation room. She decides to go against using drones and brings in the SEAL Team (Wednesdays at 9/8 Central on CBS). Something goes wrong with the mission as a helicopter spins out of control, possibly being hit or having some other issue.

In segment three, we learn that the mission was a success to take out the terrorist, but it also came with the loss of members of the SEAL team. Daisy is asked about the possible use of drones or something similar, only she declines to comment on it. Russell wants to know how the matter was leaked. But he thinks that this could be grounds for a ban on these aircrafts. Back in the past, Stevie gets upset at someone who thinks that third party candidates don’t win. She said that Lincoln was third party. Was there still a Whig party then? She gets angry about negative stereotypes of women.

Elizabeth talks to the family of those who lost their lives in the military strikes. They offer her advice. We then get to Elizabeth talking with Ming and another person representing both of their countries. She is looking for a ban on autotomonious (how do you spell that?) weapons. She wants to make sure that this is not done for her own benefit. She doesn’t want there to be an arms race, but does want to make sure that the possibility of it getting hacked is removed. She issues an ultimatum: either her country will start to work on moving forward with more drones or they will work against using them.

In segment four, Russell thinks that Elizabeth explains herself too much. She doesn’t want to worry about being popular or effective, but wants to be presidential. Jay tries to explain what happened with the man and how they weren’t paying a man back for an illegal donation or something like that. Mike still has troubles finding the right dog.

Russell reveals who the leaker is, but we don’t know who this man or woman is just yet. Jay reveals that he was wanting to get big game, just not what the senators were thinking. He does get engaged to Trevor and reveals this to his parents. Elizabeth then talks to a man about him leaking it. He thought that she was sending troops into harm’s way. This man is arrested for breaking the law. Russell then reveals what the Russians and Chinese have said.

In segment five, Elizabeth addresses the nation on the now successful ban on drone warfare. She does explain more of what’s going on with her decision such as why she’s making it. She doesn’t want to have their fate consigned to algorithms. That’s for YouTubers.

Mike and Russell still want to keep Elizabeth out of the loop. Haven’t some people said that they tried to keep Trump out of the loop on things? You wouldn’t think it would be hard to appeal to his ego and thus distract him. Elizabeth thinks about the troops that lost lives. It is good that she’s human and feeling bad about this. Elizabeth names the new dog that she now has Hope.

On the next Madam Secretary, Elizabeth is going to face her first real test where she has either kept a secret or is lying about something. I don’t know what else is going on about things. I guess that I’ll just have to see what happens next week. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Politics: Ten Politicians Worse than Trump

Before I get to this random, political post, you might be wondering why I’m doing this post now instead of something about Republicans in general. I realized that I hadn’t really started doing the political posts for Republicans in general until the summer hiatus and it just happened to line up with when I would have talked about it in regular posts. Thus, I’m probably done talking about them until either the end of the season or sometime next year should this blog continue and I still wind up doing political posts sometimes in it.

I know that this was a theme that I was just doing in my Good Wife blog for whenever I did political posts in it. This will also give me a sort of second chance should I have to discontinue hardly read posts from it in that blog. I might have to discontinue the general Republican one too in the future, but I’ll post one last one if that is to happen in the future. Now let’s get to a more proper introduction.

Something that is good to remember is that while we have bad things in this world, we could wind up with worse things. So when it comes to who could be worse than Trump, there are some rules that I need to do. First, I am limiting this to American politicians. Brett Kavanaugh is not a politician. Next, I’m only going to include people who are still alive. With those being the only rules, let’s get to the bottom ten since that’s the point of this blog post.

#10 Mike Madigan: The Illinois Speaker of the House, I’m not entirely sure if he belongs on this list, but not because he isn’t a terrible politician. I’m not sure if he’s worse than Trump, but he is exactly the same type of career politician that Trump was trying to get out of office. He has been a major problem in Illinois politics for quite some time, Mike. If things don’t get done his way, they don’t get done at all. And that’s a huge problem. He’s like Marie Barrone from Everybody Loves Raymond. As long as he’s alive, he’ll be a problem in office.

#9 Anthony Weiner: Also maybe not worse than Trump, I still think that he is a terrible person who should be on this list. Everything he did was overshadowed by numerous sex scandals. You’d think that texting his wiener to people would be the worst of it. But he has done so much wrong that I feel he deserves his place on this list.

#8 Sarah Palin: Does this woman even have any good qualities about her? Why would anyone really like her? She quit being a governor for no good reason. She’s more of a cable news fixture now than anyone real important. She might have given rise to these terrible rallies that we see too much of over and over again. Her lack of intelligence is surprising.

#7 William Barr: Maybe he shouldn’t count because attorney general might not be considered a politician in a way. He’s so bad at his job, that I don’t recall what was wrong with the last attorney general that we had. He acts like Trump’s lackey and doesn’t even do much outside of trying to make it seem like Trump is above the law.

#6 George Ryan: This former governor of Illinois may make you think that there could be a theme of sorts you’ll see in this post. He was responsible for legislation that got him imprisoned after people actually died. It was the type of quid pro quo and white collar crime that has lead to many people in that state to having problems.

#5 Lindsey Graham: He might only be on here due to his horrible rant in favor of the most junior associate justice on the Supreme Court. But he is one of the worst politicians around and he has done a lot of bad while not doing a lot of good. He doesn’t do much and what he does should not be done at all. Will we ever see the end of his reign? Well, he’s up for reelection next year and I haven’t forgotten about his bill with Bill Cassidy.

#4 Brian Kemp: The incumbent governor of Georgia did such terrible things in order to get into the office he has now. Making things worse: he didn’t break the law in order to do it. He did have to change the law in order to get his way, but he was responsible for the worse case of voter suppression that I’m familiar with in our country nowadays. He makes me glad that I don’t live in that state, even though my state’s governors haven’t been that great.

#3 Rod Blagojevich: Speaking of my state’s governors, this guy was so awful, he couldn’t even get along with members of his own party. Or, perhaps, they knew better than to work with him. Whatever the reasons, he did way more illegal activity than trying to sell a vacant senate seat and nearly all of the legislature at the time voted to remove him from office. Sadly, he can still hold federal office or office in any other state, such as Colorado where he currently resides in jail. When he gets out, I hope that he stays as he ain’t welcome back here.

#2 Roy Moore: The response for why people should vote for him is somehow more irrational than the support for Trump. He didn’t win office the most recent time, but you would have thought that his state would know better than to let him get as far as he did or get further any other time. One can only hope that he doesn’t win the nomination this time around.

#1 Mitch McConnell: He is the absolute worst politician I can think of. I thought that he was bad when Obama was in office. Somehow, he has gotten to be even worse than usual. And his usual was almost all bad in the first place. He knows how terrible he is and isn’t even trying to hide his shady connections to Russia. I hope not to get excited if he dies and that is the only way he leaves office. He’s so awful that I can only hope that some Democrat can get enough votes in his state or some more capable Republican can beat him in a primary.

That’s all for this post. I don’t know for sure when I’ll be doing other political posts. If the show ever gets preempted, I will certainly try to think of something this simple and easy, but hopefully not something that will take too long to write or get easily distracted from.

Episode from 10-13-2019

There was a lot to talk about in the time between one season of this show and the next one. What I think was important for one post might not wind up in that post. Thus, I was working on the post on the second episode of the season, namely this one, at the same time as the previous post on the first one of this season. I guess that we’ll see what all winds up in which posts later.

While I want to talk some about the Democratic presidential race, there’s going to be a lot to talk about with all the candidates in the race. Thus, I might only mention some candidates here and there. There are some good candidates in the race and there are some others not as good. But there is one that I want to talk about more than any other right now.

Joe Biden is a flawed candidate and I cannot fathom why people think that he is a safe or preferable choice to all the other Democrats. Hey, didn’t people think that Hillary Clinton was a safe choice? Do you remember how that turned out? Joe is not a good choice and I’m not sure why people think that he would be. I don’t entirely trust polling as much anymore and wonder if Joe might only be doing well due to his connections with Obama.

Someone who does work well in my mind is Elizabeth Warren. I don’t understand why some think that it is too late for her to be running. Isn’t she younger than Trump? I think that it is likely that she will be out next president (unless Mike Pounce ascends to the office). She has plans.

If people need more reason to support Elizabeth Warren, they can read this article here. While she is not the only good candidate in the race or the only one capable of beating Trump, she has great ideas at her town hall meetings and could do better in the race than some even Democrats are thinking that she might do now. We’ll see if she’ll be the second female president after Edith Bolling Gait.

You might here about socialism over and over again and may not know what it is. As long as it isn’t under a dictatorship, socialism can actually be good. If you want to learn more about why socialism is a good thing, read this article.

While the Democrats winning the presidency in 2020 is important, what’s also very important is that they take control of the senate, having at least 51 senators after the next election. Some of those that are running for president should be running for senate instead. This article says why.

Continuing my talk about past posts of the Good Wife blog, I must have been tame in my coverage of the pointless golf events that air on CBS including the one that almost always messes up the airtime of the shows since I didn’t call it the fucking Masters as I’m prone to doing. I do talk about the problem of bad state attorneys in office and how the show supports Hillary Clinton. I also hammer down a really important message that you shouldn’t do drugs.

Since I am thinking of Democrats in every other post, this makes me wonder what would be a good poem to think up using the new style that I have for this season. I might as well think of something and post it right here in this blog.

Doors are open to hopeful futures with liberals
Energy is needed and some of them can deliver
More of them are needed, especially in the senate
Only they care about the disadvantaged
Can they win in 2020?
Republicans should be wary
All of the country is watching
To see them do well against Trump

If there should be a theme to what should be the song of the Democratic National Convention next year, to me, the answer is simple. It should be the Who’s Won’t Get Fooled Again. Outside of the lyrics, “meet the new boss, same as the old boss,” the song is a great way of phrase that Trump shouldn’t fool us into voting for him again. Remember this saying: there’s an old saying in Tennessee (at least in Texas, probably in Tennessee) that says fool me once, shame on, shame on you. Fool me, you can’t get fooled again. I can only hope that enough people can agree.

There are probably tons of different ways to defeat Trump. And that’s even if he makes it as far as winning the nomination without being ousted sometime before then. What are the ways that they can beat Trump? There are tons of ways, actually. Don’t play their game, for one. Just read this:

Nearly two decades after the Bush versus Gore disaster in Florida, that state still has horrible issues and are going after whatever voter suppression they can. Sure felons can vote now. But now you have to pay an illegal poll tax. Or you can do what this article suggests.

While some correctly think that communism is a huge problem, what they also need to realize is that at the opposite end of the spectrum is another huge problem: fascism. Fascism also leads to problems with its own dictatorships and otherwise oppressive regimes. Trump is more fascist than people realize. And one of the Democratic presidential candidates has the sense to point it out.

If you ever hear people talking about the supposed problems of socialism, point out any of the good things about it that no one ever seems to do. Democratic socialism is not a bad thing. Just look at how much happier they are than they are here.

While this might make more sense in a Republican post, I realize that some things can work in both of them and others might have only wound up here because I was putting other stuff in this post at the time. But when I think about which party is doing more to make sure that people can vote, it is always the Democrats who want to make sure that people can vote and the Republican’ts who want to make sure as little people vote as possible as they thrive off of voter suppression. But if you are able to vote, then make sure you know what you can do to help.

Bernie Sanders may not be the candidate I vote for in the primary this time around. But he still has some very good ideas. He knows how to handle the growing threat of climate change. Everyone should be finding a way of addressing the issue and he has a good one.

Due to all the madness with the US Supreme Court which has been stuck with a conservative majority for at least four decades, I’ve been wondering what other state Supreme Courts might have this same issue. Well, one of the most important states in terms of elections in Ohio. And we need them on our side before redistricting. So I can only hope that they get this seat.

If you ever hear people complain about politicians for apologizing, know that these people are morons. If someone does something wrong, they should apologize for it. To not do it makes one cold. Thus, when Elizabeth Warren tries to fix the ancestry issue of hers that we’ll probably never hear the end about from the racists Republicans, she is doing the right thing. This article explains more.

While I didn’t really do a real post called How to Argue with Republicans, if I ever did one on their styles of arguing they commonly use, one of them would be about their tendency to try to change the topic to best fit their interests. Knowing this is one thing. Not playing by their rules is another. But it seems that Elizabeth Warren, still my probable primary vote, knows how to keep the focus where it should be in the end. She is making sure that the real point gets across.

While most people do not remember either vice-presidents or candidates who don’t win elections for office, they should remember some of them as they might have done more good than people who did win their way to higher office. Al Gore has done a lot of good for this country and a lot of us do not even realize it. As Cole Oyl would say if he were Al Gore, “you owe me an apology.”

It used to be more rare to hear from people on the Supreme Court about what they thought of the world. We only knew their sides in cases, but knew little to nothing else about what they think of the world at large. Whether it is due to some unwritten rule or some other reason entirely, I don’t know yet for sure. But what I do know is that when you do hear from them, you hear quite a lot. The modern Supreme Court just seems to be a way of letting Trump or the Republicans have too much power. They have been doing a lot of unusual things lately because of Trump. And Sonia Sotomayor has the sense to point this out and warn us.

So many candidates make mistakes with what they do. Some are even rewarded as their mistakes are just downright ignored and forgiven without any guilty from the other person. But someone will do what they should if they are actually a good person.

A ton of great things can and have happened with Democrats in charge. As they did in 2018, it seems that the Republicans are resorting to terrible fear mongering and misinformation as to why they don’t think that the Democrats should have power. I’m getting further and further detached from the party as they continue to dominate the supposedly liberal news cycle.

While the health care system in our country is much better than what it was a decade ago, it still has all sorts of issues that simply boil down to people wondering how it will be paid for. What a lot of people do not want to accept is that higher taxes can often help us pay for what needs paid. It has been proven in the past of our country and the present of other countries. Even if we don’t want to raise taxes, there are still other ways of paying for it. Then there are also questions not asked like why no one seems to care that other stuff is paid for or, in this case, how can we not pay for it?

If the terrible and appalling Brett Kavanaugh fiasco wasn’t bad enough, there now seems to be one more reason after another why he should be removed from the court. There is now another witness in the whole case who gives us good reason to not let someone of his statue on the court. This could be a benefit to the Democratic Party. There’s at least two stories about it that are good to read.

The current movie watching list: Saturday’s is Adventures in Babysitting, crossover tape, Madagascar with commentary, Nature Documentaries, The Omega Code 2, and The Sound of Music. Sunday’s list is Copacabana, The Lion King 1 ½, Our Lips are Sealed, Rat Race, Shrek 2, and Titanic. I did not have time to watch a movie over the weekend so the list remains the same this time.

Continuing the topic of unethical judges, there needs to be punishment for them in some way for when they do bad things. Once again, it is Elizabeth Warren who has good ideas about what to do with them to ensure that they don’t remain a huge problem.

I forget if I’ve mentioned this story before. I might have or might not have. But a US military veteran was deported despite fighting for our country. The story has a happy ending as he is now back in the US and is officially a citizen of this country now.

Due to a job that I was doing earlier today, I do not know how much of shows I’ll be able to see before and even during primetime. I just know that I’ll probably be back in time to watch this show and blog about it like I normally would. I wish I could say that this might be the only weird thing that will happen during any of the last episodes of this, but I won’t know for sure.

I was able to get home at a good enough time to see things before primetime. I turn on one of my CBS affiliates and they are airing a game of the Dallas Texans versus the New York Jets. The Jets are winning. Shows are planned to be delayed for at least half an hour. I tune into FOX and they are airing a game of the Rams versus the 49ers. The Rams are losing. This season hasn’t been as good for them thus far. My other CBS affiliate is showing the same game that the Texans are playing.

Here is what the EPG says is the description of the 60 Minutes episode is: Therapeutic use of psychedelics; the mass protests in Hong Kong aimed at the Chinese government; Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad and attorney Amal Clooney. The first one sounds maybe interesting, but I do not think that I’ll be watching it.

The 49ers have 20 points and the Rams have 7. I switch between that game and the one on CBS. The Jets are still winning the game. Have you seen it yet? They’ve gotten safety helmets, running shoes, yes I saw it on TV. Texans and the Jets. Would Elton John be proud of this attempted reference? With the CBS game, something happened that caused the Texans to get two random points. I don’t get it.

Despite attempts at changing how the game could go and coming close to changing the tide, the Texans lose the game. At least they went down fighting and trying hard. I do not yet know for sure what had happened with the Rams game, but imagine that they lost as I don’t think that they could have changed the tide. By the time I flip back to FOX, they are airing a Simpsons rerun that they join in progress. It ends and they start airing a rerun of Bob’s Burgers. I will watch this episode I’ve seen before while it seems like the 60 Minutes episode starts 30 minutes late as originally planned.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 30 minute delay. We begin with Daisy addressing the public about the Iran scandal and other things. There was a fire and other issues that caused gas prices to go up. We then get to Elizabeth talking to her husband about things when Russell comes back in. There is a good deal with Russia that Elizabeth keeps talking about. Russell seems to have issues with his assistant. We then get to Mike and Russell talking to each other with a woman, the chief of staff, in there as well also part of the conversation. Russell wanted to keep Elizabeth out of the loop on an issue.

Stevie has an awkward conversation with a possibly random guy. Did she just turn into Kara Danvers or why is she so awkward? Mike talks to Leonard Snart or someone who looks like him who is part of a special hearing into Elizabeth. She is walking on her way to the presidential car when she talks to the press about different issues. She wants to address climate change. And she will be doing the first pitch at a Mets game. Also, this show may now be called Madam President at times.

In segment two, Elizabeth is on her way to some event. She is learning about various things worthy of being told about for some reason. Mike wonders what all to talk about. The flashbacks that I’m guessing will happen all of this season has Elizabeth trying to save a dying bird. This is when she is on the verge of having a breakdown on her way to Portland. There is a funeral for the bird. I’m guessing that this is when they say bye, bye birdie.

Back in the present, Elizabeth prepares for the first pitch in the White House and breaks a light that is there. Why are they doing this in the White House? I guess they are more likely to be noticed outside. Stevie talks about the guy she was on a date with. Mike talks about missing the Portland event due to the dead bird. She is then meeting with a senator or former senator who appears to have some memory issues. Elizabeth wants to continue with the planned event. Mike finds this person dead.

In segment three, Mike says that the men’s room is out of order on a note while Jay comes and takes Elizabeth away from what is going on. Mike called 9-1-1 from a pay phone and explains his rushed and strange reaction to what went on then. Back in the present, Elizabeth hits the mascot by mistake when throwing out the first pitch and there is a lot of booing before the obvious dream is revealed. She then works on practicing the pitch. Dmitri also calls Henry about possibly getting back with Stevie and he reveals this to his wife. Will they tell Stevie?

In segment four, Elizabeth signs the Russia bill into law. I can’t get what all happens with Russell as he wanted to keep something from his wife since she was milking a person for information. One of the aids noticed this. There was a tire pressure issue that leads to protests including at the baseball stadium. Meanwhile, the person Stevie went on a date with who knew a lot about her family sent a lot of videos to her phone and other info that Stevie likes. Elizabeth wants to back out of the tax. She goes through the pitch without incident. Henry and Russell talk about the tax and we wonder what exactly she will have to do in the end.

In segment five, Elizabeth talks to her staff about various things. She wants to rollback the gas tax. And Russell tries to talk her out of it, even though she still wants to do it. The one assistant from earlier seems to have been dismissed for some odd reason. This was over answering a phone. The woman that I know has shown up before in the show gives him harsh words and this somehow leads her to getting hired by him.

Stevie is out with a person and posts a picture of it on social media that, of course, Dmitri notices. Mike then continues to tell the story of what happened on the campaign trail. She went on to her event where an emotional woman talks about the opioid crisis and gives Elizabeth a hug. This helped her poll numbers do better. Mike seems to be accused of the death of the senator since the possible loss of his endorsement would have been bad for her campaign. Elizabeth learns that they are going after any and all of her potential issues, not just the Iran scandal.

On the next Madam Secretary, there is an arms race going on and other issues, of course, that are going on. We’ll see what all happens. I need to spend some time sleeping soon and get caught up on all that I need to do, including writing in the next post what wasn’t written in the last post. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
