Politics: Is Punishing Russia Racist or Needed?

There’s not much time for me to write a post and I thought that it might be time for the other theme, but it is not. Anyways, there seems to be a lot of sanctions against Russia because of the war that they started in Ukraine. But maybe things went further than that and it seems like any Russian could be affected by this? Have we gone too far? I don’t think that we have. This is like when I speculated as to whether or not China was a problem. It is. It is more the country as a whole than any single person in it. I know that Russia can be the same way with the same problems at times. (Well, the same problem of government not working for the people and causing issues for other countries due to its powers.) As long as we can save the good people who want to help us from Russia who live in that country. I hope this makes sense.

Politics: With Trump, No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

Let’s see if I actually understand what I meant by the title of this post. It means that some of the people that befriend him and help him wind up suffering the consequences. It is not a good thing to support Trump and he will easily turn on anyone and everyone who helped him.

Let’s start simply with his donors. The bible warns in Proverbs that people who give money to the rich will fall into poverty. Trump doesn’t need money for his campaigns. He has plenty of money that he could spend instead. But he grifts his own supporters into giving himself more money than they can even afford or realize that they were signing up for when they did it. When I donate money to Act Blue as I did yesterday, it is quite clear that I’m only doing donations that are just one time. If things were to change, I would be able to get out of it and get my money back. But this isn’t the case, at least easily, for people tricked into donating to Trump.

Then let’s get to the politicians who get all buddy buddy with Trump. Some of them wind up getting turned on quite easily. Ron Desantis, for instance, the one person currently who would make me want to see Trump as president again, liked using Trump and his supporters in order to support his own agenda. Trump doesn’t like this. Trump doesn’t want anyone but himself to make use of his supporters, even when and if it could benefit himself in the long term.

There’s also someone like Eric Schmidt who lead the crusade of the ridiculous election lawsuit of Texas versus Pennyslyvania. He clearly did that to support Trump. Now Eric is running to be part of the US senate. And yet there was an ad criticizing Eric for not supporting Trump’s ways as a “true” conservative.

While there are more examples of this potentially, there’s not much else worth mentioning in this blog post of mine. Trump is willing to throw out any friends of him showing any and all of them what they really are: a means to further his own agenda and nothing more. Trump has no true friends, only cult followers who get abused quite easily.

Politics: There’s no Invasion

There isn’t much that I want to talk about in my blog this time around. So I’m going to keep this post short. I will tell you that there is a narrative that you hear from the wrong about some of the undocumented immigrants that come from the south. They want you to believe that there is an invasion going on of these people. But this isn’t true. While they are coming, an invasion would be much different than simply coming to this country to work. They aren’t coming to try to take over this country or attack this country. They aren’t coming with weapons at all. Thus, any time you hear about an invasion going on in this country of the undocumented immigrants, know that it isn’t true. Just because they are coming, doesn’t mean that they are invading.

Cast Update 7-5-2022

For the first time in a while, there are no new updates in this blog for this particular cast update since there is nothing new to add at all when I checked for the updates. This has lead me to finally get me to return to the library in town to plan to borrow some movies for the first time in quite a while. I can finally add two new reviews here and then I can take it out of the blog updates for the future. I can only hope that there will be new things to add in this blog in the next post, other than those reviews.

Here’s a paragraph worth putting in multiple blogs. As you know by now from various of these cast updates of mine, I’m not always prepared or able to see certain things right away if at all. Well, I thought that I would tell all the cast updates that from this point forward, I’m not going to include notes as to why this is the case, I’m just not going to include them at first and it will be up to you to discern that I’m unable to see it for one reason or another.

Tea Leoni: She will be in a project called Endangered, which will be a movie. There are no other things that I see her in right now besides that. I don’t know when they finished filming the show, but you’d think that those who are still doing projects will have stuff right now to do (if that makes sense).

Endangered: This is a movie about the lives of threatened species. We’ll see what role she has in it. The website I’m checking makes it seem like she’ll be lending her voice to it so maybe it will be some sort of documentary. The release date is unknown now.

Bebe Neuwirth: She’s had a recurring bit on Blue Bloods and may show up on it from time to time. There are other minor things that she has done. It appears that she will be in a new movie called Julia. She will also be in something new called Teenage Euthanasia. Yet another thing that she will be in will be Ultra City Smiths. I hope to see what I can of this.

Julia: This is a show about Julia Child, the chef. It is available now on HBO Max. It first became available on 3-31-2022. There is a trailer for this that I will talk about. I might not care about missing the show even if I’m coming to like some cooking shows.

Thoughts on trailer: This looks way more interesting than I ever would have thought that it might be. Who would have thought that a woman would need to overcome cooking sterotypes? It seems like there is a lot more going on here than might need to be, but there isn’t much else to say about this. I doubt that I’ll be able to see it without borrowing this from my sister’s family for a moment, but it could be fine regardless of it I wind up seeing it in the future or not.

Teenage Euthanasia: Considering how the title talks about assisted suicide, one can be a bit unsure how this could turn into a good story. But the plot is more complicated than that and hard to sum up easily. The show is out now. There is a trailer for this:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6T8HAs-5oX4

Thoughts on trailer: So this looks strange, but I was already expecting it. I guess that it is far too grim for even FOX by featuring mature content that not even that network would allow. I’m glad that the trailer explains a lot about the series, but I’m not upset that I’m going to be missing any of this in the end.

Ultra City Smiths: This is a TV show about two people looking for a missing celebrity. Will they find what they are looking for? One can only hope since that’s what the show is about. This is out now. I do not know what network this is on or what time it airs. There is a trailer for this now:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qthWw6NPMA

Thoughts on trailer: This looks weird and I probably would have liked it better if it were live action focusing on a more serious plot. I can’t gather much from the trailer, but there sure are a hell of a lot of people in it. And I guess that’s all that I can make sense of it for now. What else is there to say?

Geoffrey Arend: He will be in a project called Physical, a TV show. I’m glad that he could find something at long last. Hopefully, he’ll do a bunch more things all worth keeping track of in this blog and worth watching as well if I can see them at all.

Physical: This is a TV show, but too much about this is unknown at this point in time. It is out now on Apple TV. It also has a trailer that I will be talking some about. It is a very new thing and imdb isn’t revealing much about it now as a result. But we’ll find out more about this over time.

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQTFdslwJYo

Thoughts on trailer: I’m not entirely sure what to make of this. It doesn’t seem that bad, but it doesn’t seem anywhere close to good either. It is going for something maybe a bit different, but I can’t really get behind it that much. I was never one for the 80s as I wasn't even born yet and really only get stuff out of it from when I see The Goldbergs. It doesn’t seem all that interesting to me really.

Kathrine Herzer: She hasn’t been doing much since the show ended or now, it seems. Maybe she is going back to a more normal life. Not all the child actors or actresses continue into the field when they get older as they want to do other things in life. Remember the people from Shining Time Station?

Evan Roe: Again, this person has not been doing much after the show ended. I guess it hasn’t been over long enough or a lot of these people just haven’t found a new job yet, at least in the Hollywood industry. You’d think that the filming would have ended long enough ago, but maybe not.

Tim Daly: The time has come to say what this man is finally doing after Madam Secretary as he finally has something new in the works now. He is set to be in The Game, a TV show. He is also now in Finestkind. That’s it for now.

The Game: This is a TV series about black culture and how it regards to football. It could be good and is a continuation of CW show from a while ago that also aired on BET. This is available now on Paramount+. I am not currently planning on watching it.

Finestkind: I’m guessing that this is a movie or supposed to be. It has an unknown date of release at the moment. It is about two brothers finding themselves trapped in issues with organized crime people. There is no trailer yet.

Zeljko Ivanek: He is finally set to be in something called Now and Then, which is a TV show. Maybe we’ll see more of his acting in the future or maybe we won’t. He is also in The Last Duel, a movie. Another thing that he will be in is Let the Right One in.

Now and Then: This is a TV series about a group of Hispanic friends meeting again years after one of them is found dead. It is available now. It is on Apple TV+. It could be good, but it doesn’t sound original. There is a trailer for this now:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfyk7tbtTN4

Thoughts on trailer: Well, this looks like it could be interesting and also complicated in different ways. It seems to focus too much on clichés, although I couldn’t guess who might be guilty in the end of anything (it might be all of them). I don’t think that I’ll miss much by not being able to see it, even if some of this could be good.

The Last Duel: Set in Medieval times, two people are set to duel to settle a dispute of some sort or another. This is on DVD now so you might be able to see it there if you want to. There is a trailer for this, so let’s talk about this now.

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgygUwPJvYk

Thoughts on trailer: This looks very interesting and could be good, although I’m unsure of what twists could come in what happens. I hope to avoid learning what had happened in this story (although I’m unsure who it is about still) so as to not get spoiled. But I do think that this could be a thought provoking movie and I look forward to it.

Let the Right One in: This doesn’t have a trailer yet. It is set for release sometime in 2022. This is a vampire drama that I believe is based on an existing movie that was also already remade into a movie before, albeit much earlier and too soon after the old one was just out from what I understand of it.

Erich Bergen: He’s also doing nothing yet as of the show ending. How recently did filming wrap? Was it not that long ago? Why is no one that I’m looking up doing anything yet? I don’t get it. Whatever the reason, he has nothing yet and maybe that will change later.

Patina Miller: She is the narrator of a show called Word Party. That’s all that she’s doing for now. I think that she’s a mother so that may affect how much work she’ll be able to do. We’ll see what goes on in her life and I hope she can do something I can watch. It turns out that she is in The Many Saints of Newark. There’s nothing else to mention just yet.

Word Party: This is a Netflix kids show that is available now. Patina is the narrator of it. I don’t know much about it. I doubt that I will be able to see it in the future. This show is about teaching others how to talk and learning simple things like that.

The Many Saints of Newark: This is a prequel to the TV show The Sopranos. It is a movie. I don’t know at what point her role became known in this because it came as a bit of a surprise for me. It is currently on DVD. It has a trailer:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHa95iy2lF0

Thoughts on trailer: I’m guessing that some of this would make more sense or be more for those who had seen the TV show. It could be an interesting crime story, although it seems like we are meant to be rooting for villains. I wouldn’t know what I’d think about it as I need someone to root for in something that I watch and can’t just enjoy something without that basic need most of the time. I’d need a compelling story or characters otherwise. I also hope that this makes sense to those who didn’t or haven’t yet seen The Sopranos as I’m not sure that I’ll be able to see that or not.

Wallis Currie-Wood: She has done very little outside of the show. Maybe she will do something more in Hollywood or maybe not. It will be hard to understand some of why I’m not seeing much in terms of what the cast is doing in the future unless or until more time passes.

Keith Carradine: He has two projects in the works. One is called Sallywood. The other one is called The Daylong Brothers. We’ll see what happens between those and anything else that he does. I look forward to hopefully seeing these films at some point in time. Maybe more will happen in the future. He’s also in the new season of Fear the Walking Dead.

Sallywood: This movie romantic in some way, but I don’t know if it’s a comedy or not. It is about a man who moves to Hollywood and becomes a woman’s personal assistant. They’ll be more to it than that. It has an unknown release date at this time.

The Daylong Brothers: This has an unknown release date at this time. It is about three brothers who try to get revenge on their father for selling their souls. This could be interesting, even if I don’t really like to watch horror films. But this could just be normal supernatural.

Fear the Walking Dead: This is an AMC show that is a spin-off of the original Walking Dead. At first, it was a prequel set at the start of the zombie outbreak. Now, it is set sometime later during the same time frame as the original. I don’t know when or if I’ll be able to see this, but will include this in the updates for as long as Keith is in it.

Sebastian Arcelus: It looks like he will appear in a TV movie or perhaps potential pilot called Blanco. He’s doing better than others in terms of projects in the works. That is it for now. Maybe there will be more, but I think that’s it for now.

Blanco: This has an unknown release date at the moment. It is about a criminal who seeks to work with the cops only to build his criminal empire. I have no idea what network this would air on, if any. This might be just another in a long line of passed pilots that I get confused about and wind up in this blog for a long time like what you might have seen in my CSI: Cyber blog.

Sara Ramirez: We’ll see what else she might do in the future. It could be a lot or not much at all. One source is now saying that her show, And Just Like That, is returning for a season 2 after all. And there have been rumors for a while now that she might be returning for a guest appearance or so in Grey’s Anatomy. Other than those two roles, I don’t see anything mentioned of hers for now.

Kevin Rahm: There isn’t much to talk about for him right now. It doesn’t really say much what he could be doing as his project supposedly isn’t moving forward according to one link with it also saying that it is still in preproduction according to another link. I’m not putting that back in this blog for now until I know for sure that he’s doing it or something else.

Barbara Hall: I will see what future, if any, she might have in the TV or movie industry. You’d think that she’d be doing something at some point or another, but maybe she won’t be at least for a while. I guess that I’ll keep her in the updates since only death would get rid of someone.
