Episode from 3-24-2019

March Madness is in full swing and I’ll be talking about it in this blog as much as possible. It makes sense because this show will air right before and be delayed because of the tournament. Looking back at the past blog posts to see who all I want to root for this time around that I’ve rooted for in the past that is in March Madness this time around is Duke, Oklahoma, Kansas, and North Carolina. I’ll keep track of what happens to them later in this blog, if not this post.

If you remember the four people that I called the four horsemen, then you would wonder if I had any issues with them before they left office. Well, I would have wanted to not visit any of those three states that border Illinois that made use of those governors. But I work in Missouri so it would have been an impossible task to never visit that state the whole time. I missed a potential trip to Wisconsin so am now in the clear and can visit that state. The only one that I have to worry about is Indiana since that person is still in charge of that state. His name is Eric Holcomb.

What does this have to do with anything? Well, I’ve decided that the best I can do for now with the still unresolved issue of if I should continue to avoid Indiana in a different way and not root for any team in March Madness that is from Indiana. Butler is not in it this year, so I won’t miss them. We’ll see if any of the teams that I could root for are from Indiana or not as I may yet make exceptions for them.

I used to not care about Eric Holcomb
But then he did something dumb
By supporting Bruce Rauner
It seemed like a downer
My hatred for Eric went up some

Now I need to talk about another old post in my Elementary blog. Well, I don’t have to, but I am going to for as long as I can. In this post, I talked about the Monday shows that I watch since Elementary was on Mondays when this show was on. I also mentioned the very important detail that one does not have to wait 24 hours or even longer to report someone missing. The current Monday shows that I am watching are Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Bull, The Enemy Within, The Resident, and Magnum P.I.

I realize that while there might not be that much information about the Republican side of the next race for president since there might not be any other candidates, I can still talk about some of what Trump has done thus far in his time in office. I might also use this section to talk instead about the Kentucky race for governor that will happen in 2019. But with the new tax code in place, some people are feeling the negative effects of it. It took a while and this could be one of the many reasons why Trump might end up losing the election next year. We can never be too careful. But if an accomplishment is not really a good thing, then we’ll all notice what is wrong with the world now.

Movie update: On Monday, I watched The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. I replaced that with Liar Liar. On Tuesday, I didn’t watch any movies. On Friday, I didn’t watch any movies. On Saturday, I did not watch any movies. On Sunday, I did not watch any movies. I either didn’t have the time this whole past week to watch most movies or chose not to spend time doing that.

There was a lot going on in my life this past week, needless to say. I don’t have time for a lot of what I normally do as a result. I couldn’t even keep track of the teams that I root for in March Madness. Thus, I will have to see in the next post what happened with these four teams I root for. Although, as you will see, one of those teams is mentioned later in this post.

In addition to March Madness messing up the schedule, I’m certain not to see whatever might air over the storm coverage since my local area is affected. If things are too messed up, I will let you know and can hopefully watch the episode tomorrow. I may miss part of the game as a result.

The game before primetime is between UCF and Duke. Duke is currently winning, although the lead is very slim. The score is tied later. There is less than eleven minutes left. UCF gets the lead next and the game is then tied again. I decide to tune into some of The Simpsons, but it one I’ve seen so I switch back to the game to see what’s going on with it. I don’t think that I can keep up with the game that much so I’ll just keep track of it more towards the end.

It takes a while for them to see whether or not the ball hit the rim or not and if there was a violation of the shot clock or not. The long delay gets even longer. The game gets really down to the nail. This will be a really close one. At least it is exciting. I just hope that storm coverage doesn’t air over the end of the game. But I realize that I can look up the score later online so I might have to do that. Duke wins by just one point. This is at least the third time they have won a game that CBS aired on Sunday before the start of primetime. I wonder if a team of interest will do that next week. Let’s just hope that they don’t waste too much time after their win until the next show starts. I also hope that I notice when it does.

Here is what the description of 60 Minutes is tonight: Cyber espionage tool Pegasus; legal sports betting; actor Samuel L Jackson. I don’t know if there will be much of a delay and I really hope that my area is not among the area hit by the storm. If there is a power outage, then I won’t be able to watch the show unless the power is back on before the show starts. As long as I get power by tomorrow, I can get to the show later online and post this when I normally would.

My TV show watching will be different tonight. I can’t risk my laptop being on the risk of power outage for long after on happens. So I won’t be recording shows on it and might not even use the VCR either. All I can do is hope that the CW is not airing storm coverage since my stupid network has to air that type of coverage over all their digital channels instead of just one. I watch the end of a Bob’s Burgers rerun at the time instead as I hear either heavy rain or hail fall on the house briefly.

I decide to watch Supergirl in the meantime, although storm coverage does air over some of it and some of it was missed as well because someone loves talking to me when I’m watching something and this is a person who always wants me to shut up while she is watching something.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 40 minute delay. We begin with people in Australia or territory that could be considered part of it. They arrive by boat and are surrounded by people when they get there. We then get to Daisy, her child, and various other people. She talks to people she was on a trip with and is on an airplane where some people have to be contained. Her cruise ship is where the outbreak of measles was originally reported. That is why a quarantine has happened. Daisy is stuck there as a result of this outbreak.

We then get to Elizabeth and Henry talking about something of some sort that I don’t quite get right at this exact moment. Jay is talking at a climate change summit or some sort of gathering where it was brought up at. They seem to be putting far too much into just this first act. Jay is called away from this talk by Cat who takes his place there. People are informed of what happened to Daisy.

Stevie is talking to a random person about trying to find a romance for herself. There are memes that relate to Will in some way. Russell doesn’t think there’s much good about Florida. They learn that the person who started the measles outbreak was in the housekeeping staff. I’m missing far too much of this episode somehow and I’m not even distracted in any normal way. The Philippines is thought to be the country that started the outbreak and vaccine hesitancy is thought to be the problem. It turns out that Daisy’s daughter has measles despite being vaccinated before in the past.

In segment two, a lot of the plot threads start to run together for the first time. It seems that migrants are blamed for the measles (first and second thing) which could endanger yet another deal between the two countries. Will is on a dating app and that is the problem that I didn’t understand before. Stevie is still thinking that he and Sophie can work things out.

The team has to figure out how to prove that migrants aren’t the source of the outbreak in order to get this deal to stay alive and work. Daisy learns that her friends or whoever they are had a child that has measles that was not vaccinated for philosophical reasons.

Cat talks to someone about protecting her child, but it is seen as trying to use her child as leverage. This somehow for a seemingly dumb reason leads to a map of the outbreak being shown. Henry talks to Will about dating again and it seems like Henry thinks that Will is going back into this far too soon. When the team is able to pinpoint where the outbreak started, they are able to talk to a man before he leaves about what role he might have played in this. Daisy’s child gets worse when there is a code blue that is going on.

In segment three, Daisy’s friend talks about why she didn’t vaccinate her kid. She learned that her child may now be blind as a result as she believed information about vaccines being dangerous. Back at the White House, people think about attacking a country in order to get their ways. Various ways about how to consider what to are brought up there. They need something to pass Congress in order to find a way to move forward on this issue.

Will talks about some of what has gone on at the date and why he is back without food. He doesn’t like dating. There are still issues with the climate agreement and since migrants are incorrectly blamed for the outbreak, they are sent back to their home countries.

In segment four, Matt shows up with food at where Daisy is at. Daisy’s friends that have a child that is quarantined are people that she met on the cruise. Jay suggests that Americans shouldn’t be able to get out of this country on a passport by making it so that they can’t get one. There might be a solution that they can get soon at some point.

Will brings his daughter back to his wife as they try to talk about some of their problems. Sophie, his wife, feels that he isn’t there enough or focused enough to work out. Jay talks to whatever foreign diplomat we’ve seen throughout this episode about what to do. Maybe there is some sort of solution.

In segment five, Daisy’s daughter is better and recovered from the measles. As for her friend, she does learn that her child might be disabled now. She wants to do an interview about why she didn’t choose to do a vaccine and her regrets about it. The climate agreement is doing well and back on. Will has moved out to be closer to his home. The migrants from the very beginning are welcomed officially. I think that’s about everything from this jam packed episode.

On the next Madam Secretary, there is a crisis that Conrad seems to have lied to Elizabeth about and this leads to a high stakes gamble of sorts. Now is the time that I normally wrap up this post for the day, but there is a lot still to talk about relating to vaccines that I might as well get to in this post before I get to the official wrap up later. I’ll mention some of my beliefs about this later. I’ve got a lot of links to get to and will start with feelings on this episode.

I’m wondering if this episode was one of the greatest of the series or television in general. I would say that they kind of put too much in there and a lot of the focus was kind of lost as a result. It doesn’t quite measure up to something like Sound and Fury from last season. I still think that this is a far better one than a lot of the episodes are.

Now to me, it seems like the only reason that people wouldn’t vaccinate their child is because they think that it causes autism. I have not heard a single other argument as to why someone shouldn’t have to vaccinate their kid. But if vaccines cause autism, explain the following: 1- How come a vast majority of people are vaccinated, but only a minority have autism? 2- How come you get autism before you are born but don’t get vaccines until after you are born? 3- Why did autism exist before vaccines did? 4- If you were to delay vaccines until a bit later in a child’s life, would they suddenly get autism if they had never shown signs of it before? 5- How can a group of siblings all be vaccinated but only one of them have autism? 6- How can you have autism if you were never vaccinated?

Indeed, there is so much terrible misinformation based on that, I’m surprised that some people do not think that the risk is worth it. All sorts of terrible things can happen if you don’t vaccinate your kids and if the worst thing that can happen to them is autism, that’s a good risk to take. If you don’t believe me, then hopefully you can believe this link.

Sadly, a lot of what you see on social media is not good when it comes to correctly informing people about what they should really know about accurate information. But what I do know is that you can at least debunk some of what is going on by telling people not to always trust them.

One can only hope that a person can know what’s best for themselves if their parent doesn’t. But this is why some people are changing the law. At certain ages, kids can get the vaccines that they need if their parents refuse to let them take it. But that’s now beginning to change.

What could be very effective during all of this would be if people aren’t allowed to be around others if they do not have the vaccines that they need. This is when judges need to step in until they are able to fix the problems that these people are causing.

Maybe I need to find more links about why everyone should be vaccinated. Just remember that the man who thought that a vaccine caused autism, Andrew Wakefield, lost his medical license because of his false studies. You can look up his story if you don’t believe me. I should find a video the Jimmy Kimmel has done about why vaccines are important and share it in this blog.

That’s it for this blog post. Sorry if it was much longer than usual and I talked too much about why all of the children of the world should be vaccinated. It doesn’t make any sense as to why they shouldn’t be. I almost had a relative die from whooping cough based on this terrible science. Hopefully you know have your facts straight and vaccinated every child you ever have. The reasons not to vaccinate aren’t real and should not be used by anyone. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 3-17-2019

If you have the time for various late night talk shows or other shows on late at night, there are a lot of different choices. I’ve already told you about Saturday Night Live. I can’t think of anything more exciting. Hey, look! A water fountain! Anyways, NBC offers the most in terms of late night shows as they start with The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, then Late Night with Seth Meyers, before ending with Last Call with Carson Daly. CBS airs The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and continues with The Late Late Show with James Corden. ABC airs the talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live and the news show Nightline. In my mind, the best of the talk shows in terms of politics is The Late Show. And you can’t really go wrong with Nightline as a news source, as long as they air something interesting.

I feel like now is a good time to talk about some of the previous football season and how it affects my rankings of the teams that I have. Well, let’s talk about the games that have not been played before this season that have now been played. I will now say the games played that had not been played in the past seasons. The Rams lost to the Bears. The 49ers beat the Raiders. The Chargers beat the Steelers. The Raiders lost to the 49ers and beat the Steelers. The Steelers lost to the Chargers and lost to the Raiders. The Bears beat the Rams.

The Rams are 1 out of 2 this season compared to 4 out of 7 in previous seasons makes them 5 out of 9. The 49ers are 1 out of 1 this season compared to 5 out of 7 in previous seasons makes them 6 out of 8 in all seasons. The Chargers are 1 out of 1 this season compared with 2 out of 7 in previous seasons makes them 3 out of 8. The Raiders are 1 out of 2 this season compared with 3 out of 6 in previous seasons makes them 4 out of 8.

The last time I ranked tier one was when I blogged about the episode from 4-22-2018. It would mention when the first ranking of these teams were in a post before that. That post contained the second batch of rankings and now we continue with the third set.

Continuing the point system, the Steelers have 0 out of 2 this season compared with 3 out of 5 last time I ranked them making it 3 out of 7 for all seasons. The Bears have 1 out of 1 this season compared with 2 out of 6 in previous seasons, making it 3 out of 7 for all seasons.

So what are the points total thus far? The Rams are 5 out of 9. The 49ers are 6 out of 8. The Chargers are 3 out of 8. The Raiders are 4 out of 8. The Steelers are 3 out of 7. The Bears are 3 out of 7. The Broncos are 4 out of 9. The Chiefs are 5 out of 9. The Titans are 5 out of 9. The Colts are 4 out of 9. Now when I rank them, I break the ties by putting the next time the teams played each other on the scoreboard of mine, if they have played each other a second time.

The teams that still need to play each other are: the 49ers and Steelers, the Chargers and Bears, the Raiders and Bears, and the Steelers and Raiders. Once these games are played, the only issues would then be potential ties that happened that can hopefully be broken.

Remember before I go on that the Rams will automatically rank higher than either the Chargers or the 49ers. Also remember that I don’t really care about the Bears but have them ranked for what are mostly just obsessive reasons. I will put The Eagles where Rams could be if they jump in front of a team. I will also put the Bears last of any teams.

Here are the new rankings: Rams, 49ers, Chiefs & Titans & Eagles (three way tie with Titans beating Chiefs and Rams beating Chiefs with Titans and Rams needing to play each other) Raiders, Colts, Broncos (Colts and Broncos would be tied, but the Colts beat them when they next played), Steelers, Bears, and Chargers. I think that the three way tie is best resolved as just Titans above Chiefs and Eagles ignored for now as I can’t really think of a good way of breaking the needless tie right now anyways.

Since I’m switching between talking about old posts of The Good Wife and Elementary, here we are at the next episode of The Good Wife that I’m sharing again. I just hope that I don’t miss any episodes due to how they were posted out of order in the past. This was perhaps the worst written post of all of this blog due to missing a lot of it due to March Madness and family events going on. It mentions the whole issue of missing emails in it that would be important and I wonder how much of Hillary Clinton was put into the character of Alicia Florick.

If you keep up with my Good Wife blog, which is still updated, you will now occasionally see posts that are political in it, similar to how you’d see them sometimes in this blog. Basically, it is now using a theme of Trump based posts, all (for now) meant on criticizing him or his supporters. I was going to put these political posts in this blog, but now I’ll put them in that blog. Two of the last three posts were political in nature and I hope that you like them.

There’s not much to say now in terms of the Democratic race for president. Basically, I’m going to put who all I know for sure is in the race right now into three groups: notable people who are running, good and qualified people who are running that aren’t as notable, and those that should probably be avoided. I apologize if I have missed anyone. Let’s get to group 1.

Group 1: Cory Booker is a US senator from New Jersey. Kamala Harris is a US senator from California. Amy Klobuchar is a US senator from Minnesota. Bernie Sanders is a US senator from Vermont. Elizabeth Warren is a US senator from Massachusetts. I could even suggest that our future president could be among one of these people.

Group 2: Julian Castro is a former office holder from Texas. John Delaney is a former US representative from Maryland. Tulsi Gabbard is a current US representative from Hawaii. John Hickenlooper is a former governor of Colorado. Jay Inslee is a current governor of Washington. My prediction is that there won’t be any notable people from a group like this in the future, although we’ll see if any of them can be like a Rick Santorum or unfortunately become infamous like John Edwards.

Group 3: Marianne Williamson ran for office and is from California. Andrew Yang is from New York. Michael E Arth ran for office and is from Florida. Harry Braun ran for office and is from Georgia. Ken Nwadike Jr. is from California. Robby Wells ran for office and is from Georgia. I don’t think that any of these people will get very far in the race and it is quite possible that none of them will make it to Iowa. A lot of them haven’t even been Democrats that long. While I do want there to be moderates in the race, I also want them to be actual Democrats. Some may question if Bernie Sanders is really a Democrat, but I think that most of us would question if he really is Independent.

The question may not be if dark money will do Josh Hawley in, but when. It seems like he has already done his first brush with controversy as you will be able to see by reading this below article. It seems like he has been cleared of any wrongdoing, but we’ll see if he stays in office his whole term or not.

I wonder about the future of Josh
Who might not care about the cost
When it comes to dark money
It’s a matter not funny
That his current career could be lost

Movie update: On Monday, I watched Despicable Me. I replaced that with Despicable Me 2. On Tuesday, I watched Back to the Future Part 2. I replaced that with Back to the Future Part 3. On Wednesday, I saw Front of the Class and replaced it with Eclipse in America. On Friday, I watched Dumbo and replaced it with The Hobbit: an Unexpected Journey. On Saturday, I watched Rain Man. I replaced it with Recess: School’s Out. Now might seem an odd time to add it to the list, but I don’t go to school anymore so I can now watch it anytime before the first back to school commercial of the year airs.

Movie update continued: On Sunday, I watched Mulan. I replaced that with The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. On Monday, I watched Eclipse in America. I replaced that with The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. On Tuesday, I watched Back to the Future Part 3. I replaced that with Aladdin. When it was Wednesday, I watched what could be my last scab list choice for a while. I watched Recess: School’s Out and replaced that with Rat Race. I didn’t have time to watch movies on Friday or Saturday. The last movie that I watched was Celtic Woman: Destiny. I reviewed that in an earlier post of this blog. That movie was replaced by Celtic Woman’s original concert.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with some dangerous situation that seems to be happening on a plane of some sort. We then get back to the McCords. That one in-law is still there. We then get to Elizabeth and Henry talking to Mike. There is a pastor or someone claiming to be that who is controversial in some way. Mike thinks that they should get this pastor’s support or else he might not support them. No one should ever care what an evangelical says about politics. They are always far too extreme and narrow-minded with views like that.

People talk about a celebrity of sorts who was in a previous episode. Some new, random man talks to Elizabeth and her team about extreme weather events. Could they really not link extreme storms to climate change before? I thought that the unusual weather events that we’ve been having for years now were a result of climate change. This man says that an island has to be evacuated forever before a storm knocks it out forever. David, a man from a possibly made up country, comes in and learns that he is the president of said country due to the death of others in the line of succession.

In segment two, David learns that he’s president after the job he took. Elizabeth tells her that there was not a hope of this island, Neroob or something like that, recovering from the storm. But he’s determined that they should be able to rebuild. He also blames the US for contributing to climate change. Elizabeth talks to Henry about the actress who is dating someone she probably shouldn’t be. Elizabeth’s team has to look for countries that will accept refugees from this island. I don’t think that I spelled it right.

Henry talks to Pastor Brad about the island disaster. Conrad is there as well. It seems like the pastor has the idea that God might have wanted to bring disaster to these people for some reason. All of the team looks about how someone related to their actress might have something to do with the island disaster. I do not get all of this right now.

In segment three, it turns out that someone having a private island and getting losses from the storm might factor into everything in some way. Elizabeth talks to David over Skype. We then get to a person who is clearly a caricature of Johnny Depp who could give his private island to the dislocated island in order to get rid of his debts and avoid jail. But they might have to give him the Nobel Peace Prize just to get him to do this. Issues are not yet resolved, although it is hard for me to stay up to date on this as I found it hard to write caricature. Elizabeth talks about Eli Bragg, the pastor from earlier whose name I spelt wrong, and thinks that he will not accept the issue of climate change, which is a huge problem. Indeed, I heard that there is only one political party in any country that denies it.

Henry talks at a group event and talks about climate change being an issue. Pastor Bragg thinks that the climate change issue is just about growing the government’s power. But what’s with the unusual weather events? How is it a conspiracy if the weather cannot be controlled by anyone in the government?

Someone who works with the pastor talks to Henry about how she believes that the issue of climate change is important. Mike quits since this pastor gives a huge donation to someone else. He thinks that she is going to lose this upcoming election that hasn’t even started on the show yet. But the election cycle has started in reality, so it isn’t too hard to think that it could happen in reality.

In segment four, Elizabeth worries that Mike might be right in the fact that she can’t win the race for president. Henry talks about how she is a good person. Henry talks to Pastor Bragg’s daughter about how she used to be an activist and how she could help. Elizabeth has a resolution that she has brought up that Ruby, the daughter of Pastor Bragg, wants to back. Blake learns about another hurricane and the rest of the team is informed. Elizabeth gives David advice on what to do, but she loses the connection and it is unknown right away what could happen.

In segment five, they get a call about how most people are safe. If I were ever ordered to evacuated where I live, I’d leave. There is no way I’d try to ride out of the storm. But I don’t know if I live in such an area where I have to worry about this. Elizabeth talks more to Mike about different things. Mike’s having issues with his dog. He wanted this dog to be his friend in Washington. Mike thinks that she should do a statement over the climate change issues. Ruby talks on television about believing that climate change is a real issue that needs addressed.

A resolution admitting climate change is passed narrowly be the Senate. Blake then shows that the one island country of this episode of 8 square miles is no longer there anymore. Was it just 8 miles? We then get to a montage of various people that I don’t quite understand. People then get to a new island in the South Pacific where they take down an old flag and put up a new one.

On the next Madam Secretary, Elizabeth is taking a vacation from work and the rest of the team will then wonder how to work without her. Maybe this will be a more simple episode of sorts. I guess that we will have to wait until next week to see for sure what will happen when the episode airs next week. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 3-3-2019

While this show has lasted now for as long as it has, I just don’t know if it will still or not. I mean, it has gotten terrible ratings this season so far and I’m pretty sure that it won’t be airing in May sweeps. The only thing that it has going for it is tradition and a syndication deal. But tradition didn’t keep Scorpion around, of which I’m still upset by in a way. We’ll see if this show lasts or not.

You may or may not remember what I told you about how I’m mentioning old posts from both my blogs on Elementary and The Good Wife. In fact, I’m alternating between the two in regular posts. In this post, on the season premiere of the penultimate season of Elementary, I don’t mention much as I get back into the gap that I took from not doing this blog for so long.

I still don’t know if I’ll tell them about the gap of choices in the movie watching lists of mine of which I randomly kept track of on a document on my laptop. I had thoughts about a character they had killed off on the show before the actor who had played this person actually died in real life. I also referenced Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. due to a guest actor being on this show. I also mention watching The Crossing, which turned out to be a mistake due to how the show ended.

For many blog posts of this for the future, I’m going to switch between talking about the Republican race for president in 2020 and the Democratic race. Today will be the Republicans’ turn. You might wonder if anyone would run against Trump. Well, someone should. John Kasich of Ohio really should run. But it would seem that insiders don’t want Trump to lose the primary. This is despite the fact that he will not likely win the election. They are even going so far to potentially rig the primary in favor of Trump. This is very strange as I know for a fact that these people thought that things were rigged in favor of Hillary Clinton in those primaries. So why would they, so openly too, rig things for Trump? Do they not know what had happened to the Titanic?

If a primary you should rig
A huge hole you will dig
If thinking that Trump
(Whom you should leave in the dump)
Won’t keep causing issues that are big

Speaking of Trump causing problems, he is declaring a national emergency in order to get a wall built on the Mexico border. People are already trying to block such a thing and I don’t know why he thinks that this is a good idea other than to rally his base that’s already for such things. I wish that the wall that we all cared about was the wall that Pink Floyd once did an album about, mentioned here.

Movie update: On Monday, I watched Free Willy. I replaced that with Front of the Class. On Tuesday, I watched The Great Race. I replaced that with Invictus. On Friday, I watched Flight of the Phoenix and replaced that with Dumbo. On Saturday, I was finally able to watch a movie again. I watched Thomas and the Magic Railroad. I replaced that with Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. I then took a break from watching movies for a while due to having pink eye.

Speaking of movies, if you did by chance keep up with my Elementary blog, you would remember that there were times when I shared videos relating to the movie Rogue One. I shared a video on what was great about it and then a counterpoint to that video. Well, now in this blog, I’m going to share first a video of everything wrong with the movie then a counterpoint to that. So enjoy the next two links in this blog of mine.

There is a political mess going on in Virginia right now. The governor was accused of wearing blackface or a Klu Klux Klan outfit. He is refusing to resign or even simply apologize. The second in line has been accused of sexual misconduct. The third in line has also been accused of using blackface. Only he has had the sense to apologize, even though they still want him to step down. All of these three people are Democrats with the fourth in line being a Republican. This makes things just a bit fishy since all three of the Democrats are accused of some sort of scandal. This is also taking place right after the Democrats had just won a majority in the state House due to a special election. Whatever’s going on, I’m glad that I’m not part of that state.

Movie update part 2: On Wednesday, I watched The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers from a scab list and replaced it with The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the Kings. On Friday, I watched Turbo: a Power Rangers Movie and replaced it with That Darn Cat. On Saturday, I rolled for a movie, but did not end up seeing one from my list in the end. On Sunday, I watched The Muppets Take Manhattan and replaced it with Mulan. That takes me up to today.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with various people in the McCord family at a meal together. There are issues with some people wanting to pray and others not. Elizabeth complains about this to her husband later. I don’t understand all of what was going on there. Cat seems to have some sort of threat for someone. She talks to Jay when Matt shows up. Again, I’m not understanding all of what is going on as food is brought in. Blake talks to the assistant that shows up from time to time about a woman whom I can’t remember who had lost a job from earlier. Maybe the archive of this blog would help, but I’m not sure I’d know where to look.

A woman is brought in on a flight with Matt and a person who translates languages. They talk about all sorts of information as she seeks to return to her home. She gives something to Matt to remember her by as they leave. We are then at an embassy in Afghanistan. But someone causes an issue at the gate and it might be the person from earlier who says that people are there to kill her because of Matt.

In segment two, it looks like they are trying to prevent an honor killing from happening. The woman who was behind Matt made a video making it seem like he and the Muslim woman were in love and this is what lead to the major issues of this video. Henry talks to his brother-in-law. I can’t remember his name so I’ll call him Marty McFly from 1985A. Henry suggests that he goes to therapy. Elizabeth talks about how and why honor killing was outlawed. If killing is part of it, why wouldn’t it be outlawed? It does not seem like a solution will be easy, but I’m sure that it could be later in the episode.

In segment three, there are protests going on outside the embassy. Matt tries to get a deal by talking about what all is going on and trying to explain what really happened. Matt thinks that it is okay for the woman to return home with her family. But her mother wants her to stay as she might die if she is to go home with her family.

In segment four, Elizabeth and Henry talk over the phone about various things. Elizabeth’s brother is now back and talks with Henry as well. It seems like his marriage with Annie is possibly going to end at some point soon. It might not have to do with religion, but just other issues. Elizabeth then has to be secured in the bunker of the embassy. Elizabeth wasn’t sure that she made a good deal earlier. But she still wants the best for the woman while trying to keep the deal in place as well. Elizabeth is willing to do anything to save the woman.

In segment five, Matt is outraged over the thought of an arranged marriage between this woman and some man with two children. She leaves and goes through with it, despite the fact that she could still be killed later over the misunderstanding. I wonder what the bride price is in this country. I know it to be cows in some places. It looks like she goes through with it. Elizabeth then talks about the agreement that she is signing with people. Will, Elizabeth’s brother, is at their house when Elizabeth shows up. I’m glad that Elizabeth takes good care of her brother and they have such a good relationship.

On the next Madam Secretary, has problems with the state of Iowa and the road to the White House as a result of various things. It won’t air for two weeks, although I’m not sure why. What is happening next week that would cause people to not air this show? I guess that we’ll see. March Madness will be soon at some point so I guess that we’ll have to wait and see what happens with that. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
