Hiatus

If you follow my other blogs (and it’s okay if you don’t) then you’ll notice that a lot of them are going on a bit of a break for a while. This will be one of them. I plan to return to this blog with a new cast update on January 20th. But that’s not the only thing worth noting.

I’ve talked about starting a new blog that will have a similar name to the url of this blog. It may be up by now or maybe it isn’t. I’ve generally only wanted to do this since random posts of this blog won’t line up on specific dates so the new one will be brought in to sort of make this better and more okay. Well, there is another reason too. I won’t know for sure how it will line up with the break of this blog factored into it. I don’t know if I’m explaining myself well or can explain it well.

While I’m not explaining why I’m going on a break yet, there will be an explanation. Also keep in mind that since the new blog will be the first to be exclusively political (even in the introduction), you will both not see it on my facebook page (but you might see it in my facebook group I’m so Glad that They Finally Passed Health Care Reform) or in normal posts of blogs that cover politics as I will just be putting them in whatever the next pure political post is.

I’m kind of glad that this is a normal post as one was certain to happen, but I wasn’t sure what and now this will cover what it can be without me having to come up with something else long. There will not be too many normal posts of this blog planned and this was one of them. I’m not making sense, am I? I seem to just be rambling on as I bid farewell to this blog briefly. And I have to figure out how to return to these blogs as if they were still rotating at certain times when it was going to change. Still, once the blog that covers tech now (my one on CSI: Cyber) has the post explaining this hiatus, I’ll link to that blog post here as well. There’s not much else to say so I will end the post here.

Cast Update 12-9-2022

I’m not sure how much, if at all, I’ve explained my upcoming new blog. All that I can say for sure is that I’m doing updates in it on certain dates due to this blog. I want there to be set random updates in this blog sort of like how I did this in my Elementary blog. But I won’t be able to do perfect set dates like I’d force myself to do in my Elementary blog since hardly any random updates happen there. I can, however, post blogs on the closest date to what could have been that one in the other blog while keeping up with the same number of random blog posts here on certain dates as well.

Tea Leoni: She will be in a project called Endangered, which will be a movie. There are no other things that I see her in right now besides that. I don’t know when they finished filming the show, but you’d think that those who are still doing projects will have stuff right now to do (if that makes sense).

Endangered: This is a movie about the lives of threatened species. We’ll see what role she has in it. The website I’m checking makes it seem like she’ll be lending her voice to it so maybe it will be some sort of documentary. The release date is unknown now.

Bebe Neuwirth: She’s had a recurring bit on Blue Bloods and may show up on it from time to time. There are other minor things that she has done. It appears that she will be in a new movie called Julia. She will also be in something new called Teenage Euthanasia. Yet another thing that she will be in will be Ultra City Smiths. I hope to see what I can of this.

Julia: This is a show about Julia Child, the chef. It is available now on HBO Max. It first became available on 3-31-2022. There is a trailer for this that I will talk about. I might not care about missing the show even if I’m coming to like some cooking shows.

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZBacZqwbCA

Thoughts on trailer: This looks way more interesting than I ever would have thought that it might be. Who would have thought that a woman would need to overcome cooking sterotypes? It seems like there is a lot more going on here than might need to be, but there isn’t much else to say about this. I doubt that I’ll be able to see it without borrowing this from my sister’s family for a moment, but it could be fine regardless of it I wind up seeing it in the future or not.

Teenage Euthanasia: Considering how the title talks about assisted suicide, one can be a bit unsure how this could turn into a good story. But the plot is more complicated than that and hard to sum up easily. The show is out now. There is a trailer for this:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6T8HAs-5oX4

Thoughts on trailer: So this looks strange, but I was already expecting it. I guess that it is far too grim for even FOX by featuring mature content that not even that network would allow. I’m glad that the trailer explains a lot about the series, but I’m not upset that I’m going to be missing any of this in the end.

Ultra City Smiths: This is a TV show about two people looking for a missing celebrity. Will they find what they are looking for? One can only hope since that’s what the show is about. This is out now. I do not know what network this is on or what time it airs. There is a trailer for this now:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qthWw6NPMA

Thoughts on trailer: This looks weird and I probably would have liked it better if it were live action focusing on a more serious plot. I can’t gather much from the trailer, but there sure are a hell of a lot of people in it. And I guess that’s all that I can make sense of it for now. What else is there to say?

Geoffrey Arend: He will be in a project called Physical, a TV show. I’m glad that he could find something at long last. Hopefully, he’ll do a bunch more things all worth keeping track of in this blog and worth watching as well if I can see them at all.

Physical: This is a TV show, but too much about this is unknown at this point in time. It is out now on Apple TV. It also has a trailer that I will be talking some about. It is a very new thing and imdb isn’t revealing much about it now as a result. But we’ll find out more about this over time.

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQTFdslwJYo

Thoughts on trailer: I’m not entirely sure what to make of this. It doesn’t seem that bad, but it doesn’t seem anywhere close to good either. It is going for something maybe a bit different, but I can’t really get behind it that much. I was never one for the 80s as I wasn't even born yet and really only get stuff out of it from when I see The Goldbergs. It doesn’t seem all that interesting to me really.

Kathrine Herzer: She hasn’t been doing much since the show ended or now, it seems. Maybe she is going back to a more normal life. Not all the child actors or actresses continue into the field when they get older as they want to do other things in life. Remember the people from Shining Time Station?

Evan Roe: Again, this person has not been doing much after the show ended. I guess it hasn’t been over long enough or a lot of these people just haven’t found a new job yet, at least in the Hollywood industry. You’d think that the filming would have ended long enough ago, but maybe not. While he is mentioned as in the cast for A Man in Full, which also stars Jon Michael Hill from my Elementary blog and William Jackson Harper from my CSI: Cyber blog, all three of those people are mentioned as only appearing in one episode thus far.

Tim Daly: The time has come to say what this man is finally doing after Madam Secretary as he finally has something new in the works now. He is set to be in The Game, a TV show. He is also now in Finestkind. That’s it for now.

The Game: This is a TV series about black culture and how it regards to football. It could be good and is a continuation of CW show from a while ago that also aired on BET. This is available now on Paramount+. I am not currently planning on watching it.

Finestkind: I’m guessing that this is a movie or supposed to be. It has an unknown date of release at the moment. It is about two brothers finding themselves trapped in issues with organized crime people. There is no trailer yet.

Zeljko Ivanek: He is finally set to be in something called Now and Then, which is a TV show. Maybe we’ll see more of his acting in the future or maybe we won’t. Another thing that he will be in is Let the Right One in. That is all for now.

Now and Then: This is a TV series about a group of Hispanic friends meeting again years after one of them is found dead. It is available now. It is on Apple TV+. It could be good, but it doesn’t sound original. There is a trailer for this now:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfyk7tbtTN4

Thoughts on trailer: Well, this looks like it could be interesting and also complicated in different ways. It seems to focus too much on clichés, although I couldn’t guess who might be guilty in the end of anything (it might be all of them). I don’t think that I’ll miss much by not being able to see it, even if some of this could be good.

Let the Right One in: This doesn’t have a trailer yet. This is out now. This is a vampire drama that I believe is based on an existing movie that was also already remade into a movie before, albeit much earlier and too soon after the old one was just out from what I understand of it. Here’s another one. There is a trailer for this now:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_abIA--OY3Y

Thoughts on trailer: Well, I’m fine without this. While there have been a few horror movies that I have liked to an extent, this doesn’t look like one of them, although it is a TV show and not a movie. But that’s not the point exactly. It seems obvious and dumb so I’ll be better off without it.

Erich Bergen: He’s also not doing much yet as of the show ending. After appearing in some episodes of the final season of Bull, I’ll have to wait to see what else he is up to in the future after this. I can only hope that he does more in the future.

Patina Miller: She is the narrator of a show called Word Party. That’s all that she’s doing for now. I think that she’s a mother so that may affect how much work she’ll be able to do. We’ll see what goes on in her life and I hope she can do something I can watch. She’s also set to be in the upcoming project of Into the Woods. That’s about it.

Word Party: This is a Netflix kids show that is available now. Patina is the narrator of it. I don’t know much about it. I doubt that I will be able to see it in the future. This show is about teaching others how to talk and learning simple things like that.

Into the Woods: This has no plot yet. What I’m unsure of is if this is a remake of the movie Into the Woods or, perhaps, a live musical version of this. It would seem kind of early in my mind to remake the movie. Anyways, it has no release date or trailer yet.

Wallis Currie-Wood: She has done very little outside of the show. Maybe she will do something more in Hollywood or maybe not. It will be hard to understand some of why I’m not seeing much in terms of what the cast is doing in the future unless or until more time passes.

Keith Carradine: He has two projects in the works. One is called Sallywood. The other one is called The Daylong Brothers. We’ll see what happens between those and anything else that he does. I look forward to hopefully seeing these films at some point in time. Maybe more will happen in the future. He’s also in the new season of Fear the Walking Dead. One last thing that he is in is the TV show Accused.

Sallywood: This movie romantic in some way, but I don’t know if it’s a comedy or not. It is about a man who moves to Hollywood and becomes a woman’s personal assistant. They’ll be more to it than that. It has an unknown release date at this time.

The Daylong Brothers: This has an unknown release date at this time. It is about three brothers who try to get revenge on their father for selling their souls. This could be interesting, even if I don’t really like to watch horror films. But this could just be normal supernatural.

Fear the Walking Dead: This is an AMC show that is a spin-off of the original Walking Dead. At first, it was a prequel set at the start of the zombie outbreak. Now, it is set sometime later during the same time frame as the original. I don’t know when or if I’ll be able to see this, but will include this in the updates for as long as Keith is in it.

Accused: I can’t quite tell what this is about, although I hope to have more explained in the future. It is a FOX show set to start airing on January 22, 2023, but will be planned to air on FOX at 9/8 Central on Tuesdays starting on January 24, 2023.

Sebastian Arcelus: It looks like he will appear in a TV movie or perhaps potential pilot called Blanco. He’s doing better than others in terms of projects in the works and by that I mean he’s doing more. He is also now set to be in the movie Into the Woods.

Blanco: This has an unknown release date at the moment. It is about a criminal who seeks to work with the cops only to build his criminal empire. I have no idea what network this would air on, if any. This might be just another in a long line of passed pilots that I get confused about and wind up in this blog for a long time like what you might have seen in my CSI: Cyber blog.

Into the Woods: This has no plot yet. What I’m unsure of is if this is a remake of the movie Into the Woods or, perhaps, a live musical version of this. It would seem kind of early in my mind to remake the movie. Anyways, it has no release date or trailer yet.

Sara Ramirez: We’ll see what else she might do in the future. It could be a lot or not much at all. One source is now saying that her show, And Just Like That, is returning for a season 2 after all. Other than that role, I don’t see anything mentioned of hers for now.

Kevin Rahm: There isn’t much to talk about for him right now. Maybe I’ll see more of him in the future or maybe not. It is hard to tell for sure what all might be covered in these blogs of mine or what all what stay there whether it is outdated or not.

Barbara Hall: I will see what future, if any, she might have in the TV or movie industry. You’d think that she’d be doing something at some point or another, but maybe she won’t be at least for a while. I guess that I’ll keep her in the updates since only death would get rid of someone.

Ghost Town Review

While I can’t remember where I talked about it, I did get a lot of movies from my aunt and uncle at one point in time and will now cover one of them in this blog. You see, since it featured the star of the show Madam Secretary, I might as well cover it in this blog post of mine here.

We begin in New York City. A man on the phone says that he isn’t looking at his apartment when his wife calls him about it. He seems to be caught in a lie. He seems to have been unfaithful to his wife when he gets run over by a bus. He is now dead, a ghost lingering in this world.

We then see a lot of dentist equipment being shown. A dentist, Dr. Bertram Pincus, is with a patient. He then has issues with another dentist, but tells him that he is okay with whatever change is going on. The people walk through ghosts, sneezing when they do. He doesn’t hold the door open for someone despite saying that he would. He then forces down laxatatives in preparation for a surgery. He goes through a lot of questions that he doesn’t want to answer. He feels that most of them aren’t something that he needs to answer in the end.

He feels that there were a bunch of people watching him that could have been a dream. He talks to a nurse who notices that he can see her. The ghosts start to chase him with him realizing that there was something weird about the whole thing. He returns to the hospital and asks if anything unusual happen during the procedure. The surgeon called someone on the phone. A man joins her and Bertram in a part of the hospital where he learns that he died for less than 7 minutes. He is told that everyone dies. He says that it is just the once and forever at the very end. Perhaps Ricky Gervais isn’t familiar with the story of Jesus Christ. Perhaps someone should nicely explain it to him.

Anyways, one of the ghosts here reveals that the blonde woman who lives in the same building as Bertram is his widow. Bertram doesn’t understand that he shouldn’t talk to ghosts when others are around him. He learns more about this man’s problems and other ghost’s problems as well. All of the ghosts are told where he lives. This blonde woman he’s told to help is named Gwen. He likes his job as a dentist as people don’t talk to him as they aren’t able to.

Bertram never noticed Gwen before. He talks to her dead husband as he reveals his plan to be a new man in her life instead of the man that she’s currently dating. Gwen gives a speech about what all is going on with mummies of the past. The ghost doesn’t think that Bertram would be that good a person at first, finding his idea to be funny.

Bertram talks to Gwen saying that he owes her an apology. But he has already messed things up a lot thus far. She doesn’t really like him as much thus far. He might have come off as scary. He is given a lot more advice about her. He talks to Gwen in the elevator and comes off as awkward in a way. He is still given the chance to examine this mummy by her. He has a free time on his schedule.

There are some different things that are investigated regarding the mummy relating to his teeth by Bertram in question. He seems to have some knowledge about what was going on and how tooth issues could have related to his death potentially.

Bertram explains that he moved here from Britian to be with a woman named Sarah. He looks into Gwen’s mouth for a bit in regards to her tooth problem. Other ghosts show up before her fiancé shows up. He gets invited to his place for dinner. It gets awkward when Bertram has to explain away his response to a ghost there.

Things continue to be awkward a lot when the dog is out and things seem weird as a result. Frank, the dead husband of Gwen, is brought up again when Bertram orders his drink without realizing it. Since Frank is around, Bertram wants to go through a list of Frank’s flaws. She reveals that he was unfaithful to her, which she learned the day that he died.

Bertram explains that Sarah traveled a lot and didn’t come back, finding a new man. Gwen was given an offer to map tombs, but won’t because her fiancé Richard is a part of her life. Bertram doesn’t see any of the issues that Richard has. Frank tries to explain the issues, but Bertram doesn’t see any. Frank feels that there has to be some unfinished business going on or he wouldn’t be a ghost. Bertram almost had confessed his ability to see ghosts to Gwen. He also doesn’t want to help Frank anymore.

Back at the dentist office, a woman patient doesn’t say much while there since she isn’t able to when he does a mold of her teeth. Other ghosts show up that Bertram tries to get away from. When he gets back, he gets a walk-in appointment from Richard. Richard doesn’t want to talk about it. Bertram goes to a dentist next door and tries to get information from him about getting out information. He is told to ask nicely. Bertram then figures out what to do.

Frank is told that Gwen and Richard are breaking up. Bertram is told that he should be left alone now. But Frank is still there, thinking that there is more going on there still. Bertram gives Gwen a gift. But he reveals more information than he should know about. With Gwen leaving soon, he reveals what had happened to him with a bongo playing over the repeat information. Gwen is told that there was a recurring nightmare that only Frank knew about. Frank says the wrong thing. Bertram wants to know why Frank had lied. Frank didn’t want a person like Bertram in her life.

Bertram says that he won’t help the ghosts with their problems. A hailstorm comes, causing issues. He stays at the office despite the precense of ghosts there. He talks to his co-worker. It seems that he is feeling upset and wants prescriptions for things. He is told that he needs to stop being a prick. He then decides to finally help all of the ghosts. This leads to the ghosts moving on with lights going off.

After all this happens, Bertram goes to where Gwen is at and talks to her. She doesn’t want this at first. He thinks that the reasons that ghosts stay around is because humans have unfinished business. He tries to tell her a lot of things that Frank says, but things aren’t going well. He talks to her on the street and gets hit by a bus, turning into a ghost for a while. But he isn’t dead this time. Well, maybe he is, but this is not something that lasts this time either.

Bertram wakes up in a hospital and is greeted by the surgeon from earlier. He is alive now. He is given balloons and is welcomed back to where he works. Gwen shows up there and Bertram reveals what the real dream actually was. She wants to get her teeth checked out as it hurts when she smiles. It looks like they might stay together in the end after all. This ends the movie.

I like the movie. That’s obvious or I wouldn’t have seen it again or blogged about it now. Not only do I recommend that people actually watch this movie and not just read this blog post, I also think that you should listen to the entertaining commentary with it after seeing the movie. It is a good movie, although I can’t say much else about the message or other things relating to that. I like the movie and think that you should watch it if you can. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Cast Update 11-11-2022

There are two things to tell you about as I go into this cast update here. One is that I might be doing a new blog soon starting either next month or sometime next year which would be a new political blog called F Adam Secretary blog, but all one word in the url. The other is that for some reason that hasn’t yet been explained to me, one of the old posts on this blog has a warning put on it for some reason. It seems odd to me that there would be a warning on it with no explaination as to why there would be one. I would gladly edit out anything they don’t like about the post in order to not have it deleted or otherwise censored. Which is why I hope they tell me what’s wrong with it.

Tea Leoni: She will be in a project called Endangered, which will be a movie. There are no other things that I see her in right now besides that. I don’t know when they finished filming the show, but you’d think that those who are still doing projects will have stuff right now to do (if that makes sense).

But I did find something for him. He will be in Life by Ella. It is nice to see something that is worth covering in this blog for once. There wasn’t much else to ever mention about him before.

Life by Ella: This is out now. This is about a middle school aged girl who seems to be an optimist in a world set to destroy that type of person. This is on Apple TV+. Why are so many people in the blogs that I cover on Apple TV+ shows? I should count the number sometime. He doesn’t have that big a role on the show so I will be removing this from the updates.

Barbara Hall: I will see what future, if any, she might have in the TV or movie industry. You’d think that she’d be doing something at some point or another, but maybe she won’t be at least for a while. I guess that I’ll keep her in the updates since only death would get rid of someone.

Schedule

Available now- Word Party (on Netflix), Physical (on Apple TV), Ultra City Smiths (on AMC), The Game (on Paramount+), Fear the Walking Dead (on AMC), Teenage Euthanasia (unknown time on unknown network), Julia (on HBO Max), Now and Then, Life by Ella, Let the Right One in

Unknown year- Endangered, Sallywood, The Daylong Brothers, Blanco, Finestkind, Into the Woods

Politics: Why Trump?

I will probably never understand why Republicans wanted Trump to represent their party. This is the subject of this short post. Why did Republicans want Trump? A lot of them were right to hate the idea of him and not want him elected. A lot of them were right to not think that he should be the one representing their party. A lot of them were right to think that he could ruin their party. I do not know if they are expecting us to have forgotten this. One can easily find footage of this. It is odd how the queer haters of the Republicans are suddenly okay with sucking Trump’s dick.

Why Trump? Well, there are actual reasons why Trump was who they embraced, even though none of them are good reasons. He could rally people up and get large crowds gathered. This is not the sort of things that other Republicans don’t do as well. Plus, Trump is somehow popular in the Republican Party now that they don’t want to turn on someone who is popular. And I almost wonder if people are less likely to focus on other Republican scandals and problems if they are so focused on Trump’s.

Still, it is entirely illogical that there is still support for Trump now or ever. He has been divorced twice. He has been impeached twice. He has tons of scandals. Yet they treat it as heresy if he is ever criticized or treated poorly. I don’t know why they thought a guy with no experience in handling politics should be the most important person in charge of it. And it turned out terribly with few people in their party admitting that. Why Trump? The heck if I know.

Politics: Racist Dog Whistles

I think that this is the right way of phrasing what I’m wanting to talk about. There are some common and well known phrases out there that are always downright racist yet commonly used by people. I don’t like them and will explain what is wrong with all of them. I only have three and can only hope that this covers the gist of it without leaving out any.

Learn the language: Why do people insist that people who live in this country have to learn the English language? It is downright rude in order to insist that. People don’t have to learn English to live here. Why should they?

Protect our borders: Borders don’t really need protecting and if they did, it should be from only the four southern states that actually share a border with Mexico. Here are people thinking that we need this sort of protection against people who just want a better living situation such as higher pay but don’t bring in all the crime and violence that people think that they do.

Don’t like it here, leave: I don’t care if you say this to me, a natural born citizen who is also white and has spent less than a month outside of the country. This is a very racist thing to say and should never be said to anyone for any reason. While I plan to write more about this in a post in the future, this isn’t something that even makes sense. Why leave when you can stay and help make things better? And why is this often directed at non-whites who are also natural born citizens of this country? Fuck that.

And now you have the first of a planned recurring set of Friday posts of this blog that like the cast updates will now be shared with another blog. I will be posting the last Saturday update of this blog for a while tomorrow before getting to just Fridays for possibly the rest of this year, but we’ll see what happens.

Cast Update 10-8-2022

I am not doing my blogs well right now. I’m constantly running out of time for things and will have to schedule blog posts for the future in addition to ones that will need done in the regular time. I may not even finish some of them. I am winding up very exhausted and have some posts of these blogs up a bit later than I should have. I can only hope that I get things done soon with all of the blogs that I need done.

News: https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/physical-renewed-season-3-apple-1235339182/

And there have been rumors for a while now that she might be returning for a guest appearance or so in Grey’s Anatomy. Other than those two roles, I don’t see anything mentioned of hers for now.

Kevin Rahm: There isn’t much to talk about for him right now. But I did find something for him. He will be in Life by Ella. It is nice to see something that is worth covering in this blog for once. There wasn’t much else to ever mention about him before.

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26v9O_yMJOU

Thoughts on trailer: This looks sweet and sentimental. It also looks chessy as one might expect from this sort of thing. I wonder why imdb didn’t mention that she was a cancer survivor. What up with that? And if her father thought that the things that he pretended not to hear were bad, at least she didn’t mention having sex. But she appears to be too young for that. Anyways, there’s not much else to say outside of the fact that this does look good, but I guess we’ll see if that’s the case or you blog readers will.

Barbara Hall: I will see what future, if any, she might have in the TV or movie industry. You’d think that she’d be doing something at some point or another, but maybe she won’t be at least for a while. I guess that I’ll keep her in the updates since only death would get rid of someone.
