Episode from 10-28-2018

There have been years since before October even started, they were doing Christmas commercials. It is not always that ridiculous, but often is. I have this annual tradition of boycotting the company that airs the first Christmas commercial of the year until the new year starts. This means that they don’t get any of my business with Christmas shopping or anything else. It has normally been K-mart that gets it. As Charlie Babbitt would say, “K-mart sucks.” But then it became Best Buy one year.

I can’t even think of what it might have been last year, just that it didn’t affect me. I might have even decided that some that could have counted earlier didn’t count. This year, the annual boycott goes to Disney cruises. Guess that I won’t be going on one of them this year. I say that as if I had the likelihood of going on a cruise at any point during this year.

It was on Monday, October 22, 2018 that I rolled the next Survivor: Borneo episode called Thy Name is Duplicity. This explains why the previous post of this blog was on Tuesday instead of Monday. That also explains why the rotation of some of the posts was changed as a result.

Since I was pressed for time during the last post, I didn’t end up writing about the Wisconsin senate race in question. The race is now incumbent Democratic senator Tammy Baldwin versus the Republican Leah Vukmir. Leah tried to link Tammy to terrorists in a terrible lie. It seems like nearly all of the Republicans I can think of are lying in ads. I would say that if you can vote in Wisconsin (hopefully you can despite the voter id laws in that state) that you should vote for Tammy.

I do wonder if I’d ever wind up starting a different blog and put political posts there instead of here. I would only do this if this show ended. I don’t yet know the fate of the TV show Salvation, but if I did a blog about it, it could be where I could transfer political posts to. I don’t think that we have to worry about this show ending for a while at least.

While I’ve already talked about Josh Hawley before, the Republican candidate for Missouri senate, I felt that he has now done the second worst ad of this election cycle. It is about fighting for the Supreme Court. Despite the fact that the vacancy is now filled, he still ran the ad afterwards. Even if he wins, it might be unlikely that there will be another vacancy any time soon. He seems sour about something that ended in a victory for his side anyways. He’s so full of himself and so is nearly everyone on his side about nearly everything nowadays.

There might be more that I want to say about Brett Kavanaugh, but I might just save it for a political post in the future. There is one thing that I think is quite relevant. At first, I thought that this song from The Hunchback of Notre Dame would be a good allegory for Trump and Stormy Daniels. Now, I think that it is a better allegory for Brett and any of the women he might have hurt or tried to.

Another dumb thing in the world today is a political billboard on the way to work that I drive by. It is set up going both ways and says Trump 2020 on it. This is how asinine the Trump supporters are. I did do a quick thing on paint on my laptop that seeks to counter things like that.

Now there are bomb attempts that have happened in the country against people. All of these people are predominate Democrats who are critical of Trump in some way. Obama was a target. But is this really a good idea to continue to go after people who aren’t in power anymore and have little influence on the world? People continue to target Obama and the Clintons in less mean ways despite the fact that they will get more and more irrelevant as the world goes by.

Now some of these people targeted are still important in some way. I don’t know who could do it. It is likely a Trump supporter, but might not be. It may be unlikely, but it could be a Democrat who wants outraged people to vote against Republicans. I doubt that it is Trump himself, although it could be. Still, I don’t think that the mystery will be solved before Election Day this year.

A bomber must be a lunatic
Going after any Trump critic
No bombs went off
No lives were lost
But the culprit surely is sick

Crap seems to be the major feature in nearly every election in this country nowadays. Some people just make up crap and the other side has to fact check them. It seems that the Republicans are more likely to lie and the Democrats call them out on it. But whether or not the Democrats will be believed or voted for as a result is currently unknown. I’m starting to think that there is a clear difference between the monkeys of this world and the politicians: the monkeys don’t throw as much crap at each other. And here is a song done by a boss from a video game that accurately portrays the degradation of politics as a whole in this country.

Movie update: I actually got some movie watching done this time. Friday’s movie Jason Bourne is now The Little Mermaid. My high school graduation DVD is now The Land before Time. And I finally finished watching my movie length home videos and that is now replaced by Hancock.

I found out more information on the suspected bomber in question. They think that they have the guy responsible. This link doesn’t have all the information as this person might have confessed. I will do a thread in this blog where I talk about terrible criminals but not mention their names. They don’t need that kind of publicity. Still, you at least need to know what happened with this. Why would someone try to kill Bill Clinton anyways? Are you that bitter about fights that are long over?

I’m going to do endorsements of various races that I care about. This will not cover all of them, but it will cover events in states that I care about. In Illinois, the people that I think that you should vote for are J. B. Pritzker for governor and Erika Harold for attorney general. In Wisconsin, you should vote for Tony Evers for governor and Tammy Baldwin for senate. In Missouri, you should vote for Claire McCaskill for senate. In Indiana, you should vote for Joe Donnelly for senate.

60 Minutes starts on time so I watch that. Meanwhile, I check FOX and they are airing a football game of the Rams against the Packers. The Rams are winning 23-20, but there is still a lot of game left. I try to check the score during the first commercial break and get more commercials. Game five of the World Series is tonight. I had no idea that was still going on. I don’t care about it this time around.

Checking the score later, the Packers have 27 points and the Rams have 29. This is right before the two minute warning. I hope that I can see the final score later. Via a sports update on CBS, I am able to see that the Rams won with that score as the final score. I’ll have to keep better track of the Chargers to see how many losses the Rams would have to have in order to even things out. The poor Chargers have only come out on top once in their fight against the Rams since they moved to LA: last year during preseason when they won a game against them.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with a flashback to 1945. Something happened in South Dakota. A woman gets a letter from the secretary of war. We then go to the present and we see who I can only guess to be the same woman in Philadelphia. She gets a call, but we don’t see what was said in it just yet. Russell talks to Elizabeth. She is told on the phone that remains are coming back. Only this woman is critical of Conrad over this.

Elizabeth wants to help out however she could. Can she get these soldiers home? He didn’t tell Gordon about this. Who’s Gordon? We’ve probably seen him before, but I can’t remember him. He works for the department of justice. In the Philippines, a diplomat from there talks to Elizabeth. Alison is working on a campaign of some person for some reason. This is a new plot point. Elizabeth talks with Jay and some other person about what’s going on. Henry and Stevie are at a restaurant. His family is kicked out of the restaurant in question over the veteran policy.

In segment two, Elizabeth meets with the woman in question whose name I’m not sure that I know just yet. A lot of people from World War II have not had remains returned. Her name is Gloria. She will stay quiet until the midterms. Alison is on the phone, waiting for someone. The sign language interrupter is not here yet. He knows some sign language, it seems.

Cat is finally back. Where has she been and why? Some random guy is talked to. What’s with the whole lesser of two evils talk? Sometimes they say this, but a person clearly isn’t evil. And they talk about the evil one as if they are the lesser evil one. Some people might still be convinced that Roy Moore was the better pick. Sorry about that. There is fair too much fear mongering on the right, I mean, the wrong. Jay talks to a person trying to offer a solution.

A commercial aired in my region during the break that just speaks to how horrible Republicans are. They cannot accept that anything wrong has ever happened on their side and that all the problems of the world lie with the Democrats. I don’t know if Trump should be impeached yet. Let the investigations into him run its course. I mean, it took over two years before they could get Rod Blagojevich on anything. But let’s not pretend that if Obama or Hillary Clinton had done half the shit that he has that they would have already been impeached at this point.

People don’t care that he’s politically incorrect or has acted more unpresidential than anyone who has ever held this office. Republicans don’t care that they are ruining their party’s name and would do better off without him. I have donated to people when I never thought I would do this before. I do not think that people who are against potential impeachment of Trump would be against the same thing happening to Obama. Republicans can fuck off.

In segment three, Elizabeth tries to recover the bodies while problems like weather and insurgents are issues with it. The midterms are on everyone’s minds. Elizabeth and Russell have disagreements about what all is going on. Will she be able to bring these people home? Her team comes with an intervention of sorts. She learns about what’s going on at the restaurant and ignores the issue. Well, that’s how it seems now, at least. Was James Buchanan really the last secretary of state to become president? I guess that I would have to check to know for sure. What I do know is that other people have gone from the cabinet of one president to winning the next election.

Alison talks to Craig about part of his platform that he is excluding. I didn’t quite get all of that right now. Elizabeth talks to the president of the Philippines about what’s going on. Elizabeth is being told not to be disrespectful in any way. She sort of threatens him and have a sort of silent conversation or not really. It seems that way. This is the man who had harassed her earlier. That was a while ago.

In segment four, it turns out that the people are being brought home. Gloria’s husband will not get a military funeral because he went A.W.O.L. There might be a mystery here. But what will the end result of all of this be? There was an uncle in the family who served in the military. Should Elizabeth tell Gloria about what’s going on? Someone is taking shots that might be running for president like Elizabeth wants to. You know, if there were any real people in the presidential race now, that would be worrisome.

Cat talks to someone about the foreign policy about how he blocked an aid package. I do not get this at all. Where did this come from? Does it relate to the restaurant? Who is the senator? Why does there have to be a villain in American politics every season?

In segment five, it is the father of Gloria that died. I should have known. Elizabeth told Gloria about what had happened. The file will remain classified. He is coming home. They are already getting to the results of what’s going on. This is in stark contrast to what they did with the presidential election two seasons ago when it was after the election when the results happened. The student loan forgiveness issue that Alison’s former employer worked for made her bitter, but Elizabeth convinces her to vote because you shouldn’t vote against someone against one single issue. Yet many in the pro-life crowd don’t seem to realize it. I do. There is a private funeral that happens.

On the next Madam Secretary, Elizabeth is ready for the top job, but she hasn’t told her kids yet and they could influence things. I guess that we’ll have to see what happens in the next episode and what else could be in the episode in question. Sorry if I’m angry, but hopefully, that can subside by the time that Election Day happens. Of course, I could be even more angry by then. I’ll have to pray over this and hope that God says yes like when I prayed that Doug Jones would get elected. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 10-21-2018

I do not know what all to post in this introduction of mine right now. I’m writing this in advance so I will not know for sure what all there is to say even in a mostly worthless introduction. All I know is that there is a lot for me to talk about, but not much potential time to write it all.

There’s actually an update to tell you about the shows on DVD (or other formats) that I watch. You see, mystery choice #4 is now gone and has been replaced with recorded shows on tape. Be lucky if you read this blog because my Good Wife blog isn’t going to mention that the choice is gone. It will return at some point so we’ll see if it is mentioned in this blog in the future or not. This does mean that Survivor: Borneo is now the fifth thing that I roll instead of the sixth.

It was on Saturday, October 20, 2018 that I rolled a five and got to watch the show again. It wasn’t long after the list change that I rolled the choice. I don’t know what else might change with the lists so we’ll have to wait and see what changes could and might hopefully come soon.

One of the senators that we’ve had the longest is Iowa senator Chuck Grassley. He may not know this, but I, a strong liberal, actually like him and admire him a lot. I even told him this when I emailed him about a subject. I don’t know if he knows that I actually feel this way. I wasn’t just saying that in order to try to sway his opinion, especially when it wasn’t likely to change anyways. But I do like how he was able to do the hearings as well as he could have despite all the hardships with protestors and the like. I have a lot of respect for someone who could keep things as civil as possible.

Something that you might have heard about this year is the idea of blue wave 2018 happening. We will not know for sure if it will become a reality or not. Hopefully, it will and the latest atrocity that Trump did to the Supreme Court will be his last accomplishment as president. In fact, that may be the reason why Democrats could win big. They did well in 2012 due to a lot of dumb people being in the races. Now there could be outrage over an accused sexual predator being given a job for life.

One of the things that could jeopardize this is that Joe Manchin, a Democrat up for reelection this year, voted in favor of Brett. It makes me think of a meme where he’s seen casting the vote in favor of him and Kylo Ren shouts out: traitor! Of course, if Democrats don’t vote for him and his seat turns red, this could change the whole process of taking control of the senate and make it more difficult for us to win the seats that we need. It’s a catch 22 really. They have to vote for him or they are hoping that we can lose that seat while gaining three others instead of just two.

I have been making some donations to various politicians this year. And I plan to make more in 2020 and 2022. I do not yet know if I will donate to anyone is 2024 yet. But there was a test people didn’t know that they took. There are only three solutions to it: I don’t care, they passed it, or they failed it.

With Mitch McConnell in control of way too much, he seems to be adopting a strategy typically seen by dumb college students of doing things at the last minute. He seems to want to put forth anything that Trump does as good and won’t let people read bills they are voting on, see documents of people that they are trying to confirm, and is now getting annoyed at any possible thing that could delay anything. He is so gung ho about doing any dangerous thing nowadays, he reminds me of this scene from Rogue One of just how bullheaded he can get.

I do not understand why people thought that what Jeff Flake did over the Brett Kavanaugh hearings was a good thing. Sure, he voted to do a background check to move things forward. But if Jeff hadn’t done that, then people wouldn’t have voted for him and Brett wouldn’t be on the Supreme Court right now. We all knew that he is leaving the senate on January 3rd of 2019 so there’s no reason why he couldn’t have stood up against such dangerous ideas and voted against Brett. What he did seems far more like a cowardly person to me. His retirement alone was already like that. It makes me think of this scene from the movie The Wizard of Oz.

Even though Jeff Flake is retiring
The Supreme Court was hiring
And just like a dope
He cast a yay vote
With common decency left crying

Movie update: I was too busy on Friday and Saturday to have watched any movies, but I did see what I wanted to on Sunday. I saw Celtic Woman: A New Journey and will replace it with Celtic Woman: Songs from the Heart. Hopefully, I can have normal movie watching times in the future.

At 5:40, I checked to see what was on TV. My main CBS affiliate was showing a game of the Washington Redskins versus the Dallas Cowboys. The Redskins are winning. There will be a double header on this network tonight so this is certain to start late tonight. FOX isn’t airing a game when I check.

When I turn into my other CBS affiliate, they are airing a game of the Rams versus the San Francisco 49ers. The Rams are winning 32 to 10. Since the Rams are still undefeated and the Chargers are not, I have thus not kept track of which team is doing better.

Apparently, since the Rams game was too boring, both affiliates are now airing the same game that the Redskins are winning since the score is closer and more likely to change who is winning. But then the score changes as the Redskins increase their lead.

While I’m still kind of upset that I won’t see what will happen with the Rams game, I know that when they are airing a game that could run long of two west coast teams, I would understand why you would not want to air it on the east coast. If games run late on the west coast, they normally wouldn’t get any delay that would annoy people like here on the east coast (or Central Standard Time for me). I will have to check the final score later unless I hear it on TV.

The score changed again and now the Cowboys have less of a gap between themselves and the Redskins even if the Redskins are still winning. An update at the bottom of the screen shows that the Rams now have 39 points in their game while the 49ers haven’t changed at all. A last second attempt to tie the game at the end of 4th quarter fails and the Redskins win. In an eerie coincidence that the announcers are able to predict, it is the same score when the two teams last played in this location in the 90s. This almost makes me think things are rigged, but I doubt that it is.

I switch to watching an episode of Bob’s Burgers since they are probably just going to air not much of what could be on elsewhere. It is probably an old episode. It is Halloween related so it might have aired sometime last year. I doubt that they would air a new one at 6:30. I see a commercial during the first break when I check CBS and see 60 Minutes when I check during the second one. I’m able to get an eye alert and see for sure when the show starts.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 37 minute delay. We begin in Italy. Maybe I should put in an Italian paragraph at some point. Elizabeth is showing up at jury duty and someone doesn’t know that she is the secretary of state, mistaking her for a real housewife. She calls Blake despite the fact that cell phones are not allowed in most courthouses and especially not in courtrooms as you so often see on television. Henry is starting a new job. She talks to a person named Mike about what’s going on.

She gets excused from serving. While someone wanted her to wait for some reason, we might not see why. The judge has some minor issues with passport problems his wife was having. She talks to a person named Caitlyn who winds up getting advice from her. There are issues with factories of some sort. We then see Elizabeth wanting to go to fashion week since it will help in some way.

In segment two, Elizabeth is talking to an Italian person via Skype. We never would have had a show like this before Skype. She talks about what is going on with the president. They might be picking a fight with China as a result. Alison is thrilled that she is going to fashion week. Henry had funny password issues where he had to create a password just to get rid of it. He phrased in better. We do get to more of the random Chinese guy that shows up from time to time. I should really remember his name. China has announced tariffs. I’m always amazed by how they can do current events on this show despite it being much different people in power. Elizabeth is told to think better in the future.

In segment three, Conrad might want to do retaliatory tariffs against China. Conrad is smart by realizing that he shouldn’t do any trade wars. Someone shows up to Daisy’s office and a nun shows up. I do not really get all of this. Daisy is too worried because of the attack that happened. She doesn’t want to kill someone’s dreams. Why was the foreign person talking in English to his child? You know, we are mean usually with other languages. Many people from non English speaking countries learn English and when we see others speaking other languages, we just tell them to speak ours instead of us learning theirs. No wonder they are so much smarter than us. Elizabeth learns that the Chinese secretary is on the short list to becoming president of his country.

In segment four, we get back to Caitlyn from earlier. Mike is the defense counsel. He is able to make a good case for her. She gets a good deal out of it. She didn’t quite understand all of it. Elizabeth wants to help with the mostly unseen message and solve the barely focused upon issue as usual. Daisy gives a tour of the 7th floor to the nun’s students. While they don’t meet Elizabeth, they get to meet Conrad who is visiting there. I do wonder who there would have preferred Elizabeth to Conrad. I do remember that Obama met the members of Celtic Woman in 2009 and I was very jealous of him. Elizabeth tells people about the factory issues that she wants to address while trying to possibly pander to the fashion issues while still getting her point across. Elizabeth criticizes China for not being there at the meeting place.

In segment five, it turns out that the Chinese president is naming himself as his own successor. That does not make that much sense. The diplomat wants to make sure that no other stunts are done in this whole tit for tat that goes on. She is sorry that he might have missed out on what is going on. Elizabeth does not think that she is actually solving problems. I do not get the rake metaphor. Perhaps it went over my head. Then again, nothing goes over my head. I’m far too swift. This does make Elizabeth doubt whether or not she should run for president since she can’t do as much good as she would like. But we did see that with Obama. Of course, that was largely due to the obstruction from the wrong.

Elizabeth tells Mike that she does in fact want to run for president. She wants to run on criminal justice reform. That’s a good campaign slogan. Well, that’s not actually a slogan of some sort. But if you run on a good issue, you want it to work. Don’t promise things that you can’t grant. Look at term limits. So many people run to enforce them and make no efforts to do it. Something odd seems to be going on in China and I wonder if this recurring character is up to evilness. But this largely seems like a memorial of some kind that I don’t quite get. The episode ends next.

On the next Madam Secretary, a war debt or warrior of some sort appears to be being held for ransom for some reason. A soldier would make more sense. I do not get it yet. I guess that we will see what happens with this show when it happens. Let’s just hope that it starts happening at 9 instead of later. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 10-14-2018

Now that I’m keeping the readers of this blog updated on the TV show watching that I do and the movie watching that I do, I do wonder where in the blog I should tell you about these things. Maybe I should keep you posted in the introduction what I should do with some of them. But I like putting things in this blog that aren’t out and open in the introduction that people who only see parts of this on facebook will never know about. That’s why the political parts of this aren’t in the introduction.

There is a relative of mine who sometimes comes a week and lives here while doing other things in the meantime. It can take up a lot of time and I might not be able to watch everything I want to. This could affect my blogs. I am going to copy this message in other blogs of mine so they will know. Blogs might wind up being later than I want them to be in terms of when they are posted as long as these people are here. I’ll write notes about what happened if there are changes. The rotation that I have on Mondays will not be affected as long as I can help it. Sorry if things are confusing as a result.

I will do an update into an election from a while ago and talk about the Iowa governor race. The winner of the Republican primary was Kim Reynolds. The winner of the Democratic primary was Fred Hubbell. The winner of the libertarian primary was Jake Porter. I’m not even sure that it is worth mentioning this race again because I’d decided that I don’t care. Kim seems fine to me so I’m not against her. I also don’t see a problem with Fred. I wouldn’t vote for Jake unless I decided that I didn’t care enough about this election compared to others. Of course, I can’t vote in this state anyways. You can make up your own mind about this and if you are from Iowa and have an opinion, be sure to share it here.

Like many people, I have lost all respect that I honestly used to have for Susan Collins. She was on the right side of the health care debate and then on the wrong side of the tax code bill. Now she thinks that Christine Ford could have been attacked, just not by Brett Kavanaugh. I just don’t see what is wrong with all of the people who voted for him. They acted like it was a partisan issue when there was an issue of whether or not someone accused of sex crimes should be on the Supreme Court. I’ll get more into the Democratic flipper who voted for him next time.

Susan Collins seemed like a moderate
Often on both sides of politics
A decision she made
Seemed like she misbehaved
And now, she doesn’t seem so great

With hurricane Matthew having hit Florida, it was said to be one of the strongest hurricanes to have hit the US ever. We’ve had at least 5 serious hurricanes hitting us in just this year and last one. I shouldn’t turn this into a political issue, but I will. Climate change is real. This is one of the many reasons why this is happening. Also, I doubt this is the wrath of God on the Trump administration, but it is odd how after Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed to the court, less than a week later, a hurricane strikes.

How will Brett fit in with the other justices? Well, Clarence Thomas was accused of sexual harassment and still wound up on the Supreme Court. Clarence has now been on the bench longer than any other justice. I don’t want to downplay sexual harassment, but I will say that it doesn’t seem nearly as bad as what Brett was accused of. People are already wanting to impeach Brett, but I don’t want someone to be removed from office because they aren’t liked unless they lost reelection or renomination. But it might lead to the saying, “what goes around comes around,” and the fact that he argued for Clinton’s impeachment earlier in his life. This makes me wonder if he will butt heads with Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Stephen Breyer, the Clinton appointees on the Supreme Court.

I have a Halloween decoration idea that I doubt I would do at my house. It would be a tombstone that says, “Rest in peace, Anthony Kennedy.” He’s not dead, but he is dead to me. Now I think that there should be a lot of people mentioned on tombstones as dead to people who can go up on October 1st and stay as a decoration until after Election Day every year. Just make sure that people know that you are not threatening these people so try to be in good taste when you do it.

Even though Jim Crow laws were outlawed a while ago, voter suppression lives on in this country. There is an example of it happening in North Dakota, a huge potential swing state for the election for senate. Maybe it is just me, but I’ve never heard of people trying to get rid of voting power for those who would normally vote for Republican’ts. But if it affects minorities, it sure seems like the wrong is quick to get rid of any and all power for potential Democratic voters to vote at all.

Movie update: Enchanted is watched and replaced by The Emperor’s New Groove. Minions was rolled but not watched like originally planned, due to a last minute visit by family members taking up the time that it would have normally happened at. A home video was watched and remains on the list for later. That’s all the movie updates for this week.

There is a Pepsi product boycott that’s going on. This is due to their association with the NFL and the fact that people don’t like their protests. This gives me another thing to anti-boycott as I should now get all the Pepsi products that I like.

I tune into my main CBS affiliate and they are showing a game of the Dallas Cowboys versus the Jaguars from Jacksonville. The Cowboys are winning by a lot. It’s a shame that I’d root for the Jaguars between the two. But at least every football team this season has at least one win thus far. CBS is doing one of their doubleheaders today so the soonest shows will start at is 30 minutes late.

I switch to FOX and they are showing a game of the Rams versus the Denver Broncos. The Rams have 20 points and the Broncos have 13. They were planning on being done with shows by six, but they have nothing new to air until seven anyways.

My other CBS affiliate is airing the same game as the one that I normally like to watch. I will stick with the Rams game, for now at least. I might as well talk about some of the changes that are going on with the schedule in question. You see, the CW is now airing shows on Sundays for the first time in around a whole decade. One of them is a remake of the show Charmed. I plan to talk about it at least once in my YouTube channel that I have now. It might be hard keeping up with certain shows.

The Rams get a field goal, raising their points to 23. The Broncos then get possession of the ball and their point total goes to 20. But the game randomly ends even though there is time on the clock that they just let run out. I do not understand this, do you? But at least the Rams remain undefeated.

CBS is showing post game coverage so I can only assume that they are done with the game and thus, the Cowboys had to have won the game. They had far too much of a lead to have lost it in the end. With me not interested in 60 Minutes tonight due to them being late and them airing an interview with Trump, I decide to watch a rerun of The Cool Kids that is on. As for the rest of primetime, you don’t need to be concerned with what I watch outside of this show.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 30 minute delay. We begin with people in a store of some sort. I do not know or understand what non bomb purpose a pressure cooker has. The person is pulled over, this random guy. But they find suspicious stuff in his car despite possibly lacking probable cause. We then get to the funeral of June from the last episode. At least they are given decency to this character, even if there was little to nothing known about her before this episode. Jason might have been insensitive in an absent minded way. Nathan is the name of the guy who was pulled over. I don’t know why this is a crisis that Elizabeth has to be informed about. Elizabeth doesn’t want to set a bad precedent by charging the guy. In yet another Skype meeting with an international person, Elizabeth talks to a person about issues at hand. This might be a different one other than Nathan. It is hard to keep track of everything.

In segment two, Stevie goes to work as normally. It must be like people at the Pentagon the day after 9/11. Russell and Henry talk to each other about Conrad wanting Henry’s help with something. Elizabeth talks to her team about possibly censoring Poland’s voting rights. Nathan is talked to about in a room of some sort. I think that Henry is watching it and talks to Russell about it.

Elizabeth talks to Mr. Foreign Guy who is a President of some country of some sort. Not everything is explained as well as it should be in this show. Who is this Alex person that they want to surrender? Elizabeth is told to proceed in a very cautious manner. As usual, she is levelheaded during the crisis.

In segment three, more people talk about whatever the situation is that is happening. Stevie is at the hospital due to different issues. The Poland people are keeping a guy that the FBI wants to grab. We do not get the reasons for everything. At least, I can’t tell it all for sure. My mother is vacuuming upstairs and it is hard to keep track of everything even with captions on. Elizabeth’s team talks more about the attack on the White House. Elizabeth wants Alex, or Alek as the captions say, to be turned in. There is then an under the radar attack going on. Russia beat them to the mark.

In segment four, Stevie gets back from the hospital. She has collapsed in the street although I don’t get this place that she was at. Elizabeth winds up asleep on the couch. Stevie wanted to go back to work even though her doctor wasn’t really okay with it. She doesn’t like how she left things with June. But Elizabeth offers words of support.  Henry talks to Nathan. I don’t know much of what to say about all of this episode as Nathan gets focus, but not much, while Alek gets nothing much mentioned yet still gets focused a lot as well. Nathan thinks that we are the soldiers of Odin. He thinks that Europeans are the smarter people than Asians. He is against multiculturalism.

He knows nothing about Alek or any of the attack on the White House. It is biased nonsense, this IQ alternative fact. But I doubt people would realize it. Once people are convinced of lies, the truth doesn’t make any sense to them anymore. Nathan spits on Henry and wishes that Elizabeth were dead. They cut the scene short so we don’t see what happens next. It would seem that foreign governments are blamed for other issues. Henry is in the situation room talking about Nathan and other issues. Henry could not find any link that Nathan might have to a foreign power of some sort. But we can’t tell just yet what issues he might have besides being downright crazy.

In segment five, we get to the opening of a new NATO center. Alek is dead and people think that she might have had something to do with it. But does she? I guess that we will see later. She talks to the one foreign leader who doesn’t seem to agree on the issue. Russell had wanted Henry to turn on this person and Conrad wants Henry to be an ethics advisor. Russell blames himself for the attack, or, at least, the people who were attacked due to summer vacation happening. Russia was helping Alek. That’s what Elizabeth thinks at least. He doesn’t want her to make accusations without proof. She thinks that there is a Russian who wants to make sure that chaos happens. They wanted to end nuclear war. What is an RPG anyways? I always knew them as role playing game.

On the next Madam Secretary, it seems that Elizabeth gets to do jury duty or might not get to do it if she winds up doing something important. They don’t seem to always be smart with jury duty. I would love to do it, but doubt that it would happen. I have a condition that it would make it hard to put up with me in a courtroom. I should be back at a fairly normal time next week. I scheduled this in advance, even if it was just two days in advance. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 10-7-2018

As usual, this will be a very long blog post full of a whole lot of details that you may or may not deem important in any way, shape, or form. I do wonder if some people come here for reasons other than the show that I blog about. I talk about politics, sports, and various other things in this blog of mine. You may not care at all about Madam Secretary. I’ll find out more this summer when I do the political posts. Know that as usual, I’ll write in all caps when the important part begins.

Well, by the time you are reading this, Eric Greitens will have resigned from being governor of Missouri and Republican Mike Parson will now be the governor. I’m only pointing out the party because in the state of Missouri, the governor and lieutenant governor are elected on separate ballots meaning that there can be a governor of one party with the lieutenant governor being of another party. I don’t know what happens to the office of lieutenant governor if it becomes vacant. Perhaps there would be no one in that office until the next election. But who else would be in line of succession? Or would there instead be a special election to fill the vacancy? I guess that we’ll see in the future.

I’m not sure if I like the new national anthem policy for the NFL, but I know that they are just doing what they need to in order to get good ratings for their programs. Honestly, I’d be okay without the NFL being shown on all these networks where they frequently mess up TV for me. I’d have to do more research into what exactly Colin was doing before he was taking a knee. He might have just remained sitting. This new policy seems to be doing what he originally was doing in the first place. Of course, I still don’t know what they would do if a bunch of star athletes were to kneel at the anthem. Would they really fire all of them? It seems dumb that people are so offended by the thing.

Donald Trump wants to pardon Rod Blagojevich. That is a terrible idea. Rod deserves his jail time. And I’m not sure if people understand fully what all Rod did. It wasn’t just that he tried to sell a senate seat. He did way more than that. Indeed, the investigation into him went as far back at 2006, long before Obama was even running for president.

I think that Rod is now disbarred as a lawyer and he can’t run for a statewide office in Illinois again. Sadly, he can still run for federal office, although I’m not sure how a pardon could change things. Still, if he ran in the bluest district in Illinois, he’d lose spectacularly to any Republican who challenged him. And that’s provided he wins the primary. Still, I don’t know if he’d run in Colorado since that is where he is in jail. I do worry for that state. If they legalized pot, they may do more dumb things like voting for him if he ran for office there.

It was on Friday, June 08, 2018 that I finally rolled Survivor: Borneo for the first time and watched the first episode of the season entitled The Marooning. I am telling you about this in a different font for reasons that are a bit OCD of mine. As long as it remains on the list, you’ll get updates like this. I wonder what Brick Hecht would think of this font. It is Calligraph421 BT. The number for this choice is 5 at the moment.

It seems that every time you think Trump can’t do anything worse than he already has, then he does something worse. Remember when people with preexisting conditions weren’t allowed to get health care coverage because of it? Well, Trump wants to get rid of that coverage. And he doesn’t want to do it until after the midterm elections. This may just be a ploy to hope that people will keep Republican’ts in power to ensure that he doesn’t do anything. Still, the audacity of this man is unnerving.

Getting to the list of shows that I watch from, know that NCIS season one is done and is replaced by the second season of NCIS. That’s not much of a change, but I should get to more in the future if and when they hopefully happen. It can be hard to stay caught up.

Now you might be wondering since you are always hearing, even now, about Hilary Clinton’s emails that are missing. Then there are ironic parts such as Trump having missing emails. But what could be even more ironic than that? Remember how James Comey was investigating the email scandal? Well, what if he had misused his own emails? Well, he does. He broke the same rules, using personal emails for the government business he was doing. Hilary’s reaction to this news, “but my emails,” was how she has now won twitter forever.

If and when I can do all of the research that I want to do for missing emails of people who aren’t Hilary Clinton, I will do a special political post about it so that you can be informed. And I will have all of the links that back up the information that I have. Google Romney missing emails if you want to find out more information about just one of them.

Something that worries me excessively is the power of judges in this country. You might know more of the story if you know what the word bork means. You may remember how the Republican’ts refused to do confirmation hearings on Merrick Garland. But, sadly, he was hardly alone in terms of being a judge appointed by Obama that was never seated. There were all these vacancies occurring during the Obama administration that were not filled during his tenor that should have been. Ultimately, Trump wound up filling these vacancies with different judges that are largely conservative in their leanings. There are a lot of them that he put on various courts throughout the country. And Republican’ts actually think this is his accomplishment alone when they had blocked the judges that should have been confirmed already before he took office. It’s highly ironic that there is all this unfairness going on with judges. All we can hope is that they can still be impartial despite their life tenor and political ideology.

This leads into something quite terrible: the only true moderate that was still on the Supreme Court, Anthony Kennedy, has now retired from it. He did this at the goading of Trump. This should be illegal since he shouldn’t be coaxed into retiring by someone under investigation. And to dump a whole ton of salt into the world, he didn’t leave the court until after he gave conservatives victories such as allowing voter suppression to happen in Ohio. Anthony is now dead to me, in a way. I’ll get to more of the issues with the vacancy and who was appointed later.

Something that we should worry about in the future is that the Russians might try to interfere in the 2018 midterm elections. In fact, there is already evidence that they have tried to do this already. I might talk more about this later in this post or other posts including special posts that you may have already seen before the season premiere. But I did find a video of The Russian Dancing Men which I’m sharing now as a reminder of what could happen or is already happening with that country and what should be our way of voting that they shouldn’t be messing with.

With all of Trump’s negative treatment of the media, news, press, and whatever else you would call it, you might wonder what it would take for him to say something good about journalists. Well, there was a shooting at a newspaper called The Capital which left people dead. Trump talked about what a horrible thing it was for them to be shot. While he could have remained silent on the case, I still think that it was really bad that this is what it took for him to say something good about journalists. It was also a fleeting effort since he went right back to attacking them later.

Ever since Trump came up with a terrible idea to pardon Rod Blagojevich (something he, thankfully, has not yet done and hopefully never will), it made me think some about where he is now, specifically, the state where he is serving his jail sentence. That state is Colorado. That makes me wonder or even worry about that state once he gets out of jail with established residency. You would think that they should be like Illinois where convicted felons are not allowed to hold statewide office (but, sadly, not any federal office), which would probably be a moot point if he were pardoned.

The point is, I might wind up caring more about Colorado and certain elections with it. In case I do, what are the important elections in Colorado? They have elections for governor in midterms and elections for senators are class 2 and class 3.

It used to be that after a heated political discussion of some sort, I would update my sort of blog at the website at Barack Obama.com (which I know is not a validly typed link). This is no longer the case since I think that they got rid of whatever I had written there. But sometimes they have me thinking and I think that I should post anything about what’s going on in the world according to the crazies or others that I often talk to. You see, there is a Pocahontas slur going around regarding Senator Elizabeth Warren. I do not know why people think it is okay to call her that. And why do they do it? There is no proof that she does not have Native American heritage and I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal. This makes me hope that any write-in ballots for Pocahontas are counted towards her.

I have been told something and now wonder: do I assume the worst? I’m not even sure what it means when people said that might apply to me. If I have assumed the worst, you would find it seen better in this blog than any other one. Have I done that? What do you think people would mean by thinking that about me? And haven’t I only thought bad things about people who are bad?

Regarding more of the conversations that I have with the people I might call crazies in some way, one has to wonder why they have three Democrats listed as the three stooges. Maxine Waters is one of them, although I don’t know who that is or why people care. But I thought that I could think of some Republican versions of the three stooges. They are currently Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and Mitch McConnell with people subject to change. I had thought of who to put in the middle section for a while, but I think that he fits most for now.

Can abortion be overturned? We hear about this from both sides of the aisle as they both want you to believe that it can happen. What they don’t seem to realize or will admit is that it can’t actually just be thrown out. It is here to stay. The pro-choice people seem to not realize this and neither do the pro-life people. I would love for it to be overturned, but that ain’t happening.

Some pundits may think that the investigations into Trump might be lasting too long. But many people don’t seem to realize that a lot of long investigations into presidents have happened. Some have been much longer than the one that Robert Mueller is currently doing. Whitewater, a scandal that happened during the Clinton administration, lasted much longer than the Russia investigation.

If I’ve ever mentioned who I thought was the worst Democratic incumbent in the country, it would be the Illinois speaker of house named Mike Madigan. There are many ads against him in this election, even though I don’t live in his district. Why waste money like that? But I do know that there are now rumors of sexual harassment by him. Only, they are just that, rumors. I haven’t found any links that prove that anyone ever claimed to be sexually harassed by him. I don’t like him and never will. But this seems even more unlikely than someone making up accusations because people are now making up that people made up allegations about him. While it could have happened with some people that he knew or people that worked for him, it seems unlikely in my mind that it’s the case.

There was a Tennessee ad airing multiple times in Illinois. My TV only covers two counties in that state. Why would they spend money on putting ads here? Plus, a Trump endorsement means to me that I shouldn’t vote for him. I don’t know what all happened and if Randy Boyd or whoever it was won the primary for governor in that state. I just know that I only saw positive ads for him and they weren’t what I would want to see to vote for someone like him.

Now it wouldn’t be a largely political blog of mine with minor mentions of a TV show called Madam Secretary without me mentioning Brett Kavanaugh and mentioning various links about him. I’ll get to the allegations against him later in the post. First, let’s talk about how he once supported the Clinton impeachment because Republicans still have to make them relevant.

While there are various connections he has or could have on the Supreme Court, one of the ones we should worry about most is the one where he spent time being classmates with current justice Neil Gorsuch or Trump’s other nominee to the Supreme Court. I wonder just how many people could have a link to Neil Gorsuch that Trump wants to put on the court.

What’s interesting about Brett is that he has had a history with the Supreme Court before. He once had argued a case before the Supreme Court, also during the Clinton era in a case against him. He ended up losing the case 6-3. I don’t know who decided this case that is still on the court.

Perhaps the article that he is most well known for writing is one where he wrote all sorts of things that he is now criticized for. He thinks that current presidents should be protected from being prosecuted. This is a hypocritical position to have since he argued in favor of Bill Clinton’s impeachment. All we can think of as why this isn’t a bad thing to have someone like this on the court is that there are eight other justices who can overrule his opinions. That’s provided, of course, that there’s enough people on the court throughout a tenure that he hopefully doesn’t get.

There might be a good thing about him. Then again, it might just be more of a reason why Republican’ts fucked up in the past. Brett served on the same circuit as Merrick Garland. And they voted together a lot of the time. How much? 93%. This makes me wonder just how different the 7% is. It is possible that the borking of Merrick Garland didn’t prevent a moderate from being on the court. It could have prevented a conservative judge from being on the court. These conservative victories that happened in 2018 could have still happened with Merrick Garland on the court.

Other links that I found to other people and Brett is a connection to Elena Kagan, a justice that Obama put on the Supreme Court. He would sub as a professor for her. A connection to a liberal justice might be a good thing in some cases. He also has a connection to Anthony Kennedy, having once served as a clerk under him. Now I’m going to talk about other things before getting back to him.

I honestly forget or don’t know who the old sponsor of the NFL was in terms of pizza chains. I think that it was Papa Johns, but they bowed out. What I do know is that as of this year, Pizza Hut is sponsoring the NFL. I’m glad for this and didn’t need another reason to like Pizza Hut. It’s my favorite of all of the pizza places that I go to or have had.

It was on Sunday, July 29, 2018 that I rolled number 5 again and got to watch the second episode of the first season of Survivor called The Generation Gap. This affects my TV blog is that it is now on Sundays instead of Saturdays for the near future and it means that the cheats that I use sometimes to update a blog will remain in my TV blog and not move back to this one.

This is the first blog that I created because I had dreamt about it. It had happened under rules that I do not think could happen again. But I had also once dreamt about having a blog about Bob’s Burgers. How would a blog like that start? Well, there are different ways it could happen now in the future. I do not know just how long this blog will be sharing Mondays with other blogs. But if it shares one with more than just my TV blog, it could join the rotation of what could be blogged about. It can also be updated should a planned new episode of this show not air due to sports delays. I do not know what will happen yet, but I will share a link to any new blog that I create in the future.

I had a dream about Scott Walker where he was accused of sexual misconduct in some way. I hope that it doesn’t happen in reality unless such a terrible thing actually happened. But it does make you wonder if there is a potential curse that could happen. We saw Eric Grietens resign and not even after the whole sexual problems that might have happened. If something does happen with Scott Walker, one can only assume that there will be problems with Eric Holcomb later and, hopefully, Bruce Rauner.

The thought of a 3D printed gun including blue prints for it were actually brought up in a sixth season episode of The Good Wife. I wrote about it in a blog post, the link of which I’ll post here. I didn’t do that good of a recap and I also know that they didn’t do as good an episode of it that they could. All I can hope is that The Good Fight does a better episode about it in the future.

Last football season, I had talked about the various teams in football that I root for and the teams that were tied with other teams. Now that I have finally looked back at the next game that these people had played, I can break these ties. The Titans and Chiefs were tied for third and fourth. The Chiefs will win this tie making them third and the Titans fourth. As for the fifth and sixth tie between the Colts and the Broncos, it is the Broncos that win and become team five.

It was on Monday, August 13, 2018 that I rolled the number 5 again and got to watch the third episode of the first season of Survivor called Quest for Food. This affects my TV blog again and will now have to be updated every Monday and Sunday until Sundays can be phased out at the end of the month. We’ll see if anything else changes if I roll an option on either Sunday or Monday and I will not be able to update that blog as a result.

While it might be mean to refer to some people as crazies, sometimes there is no better way of saying it than that. ISIS is not defeated and people think that it is and that Trump caused it to happen. There is no evidence that Trump, or anyone else for that matter, defeated ISIS. If you ever hear about them in the news, then you know that they would not be taking credit for bad things if they didn’t exist anymore. Does that make sense? Why would the news I watch keep telling me that ISIS is claiming credit for bad things that happen in the world if they truly are defeated?

Charmed season 3 is done and I replaced it with the fourth season of that show. This shouldn’t be a thing that I have to point out, but I’m watching the original Charmed as the new Charmed will be on in the near future on the CW.

It was on Monday, August 27, 2018 that I rolled the number 5 again and got to watch the fourth episode of the first season of Survivor called Too Little Too Late? This actually messed up a lot of what I would have otherwise been doing in other blogs of mine. Since my TV blog was on Mondays with updates, this now means that I’ll have to update a different blog then. That blog happens to be this blog as you should know by now. This will confuse things as you might expect. I will explain more into that in other posts. Sorry if this doesn’t make a lot of sense.

I should do a quick update into Rams versus Chargers season, where I talk about which of the two teams is doing better. I’ll try to do it at least once a post if I can and have time to do the research. Know that I will not be able to be as up to date as I’d like to be sometime and this post will only contain information into week three of the regular season. The teams were tied in the preseason with two wins and two loses. The Rams have three wins in the regular season while the Chargers just have one. And while they played each other in the preseason last year with the opposite results, the Rams won their game against the Chargers in the head to head match-up this year.

Another change in the list is that mystery choice #3 is now mystery choice #4. As usual, you will have to read my Good Wife blog to know what the change is. There was yet another change when I finished with the recorded shows on tape and replaced it by Invader Zim. This means that Survivor is now number 6 on the list of things to watch.

When it comes to the governors that I care about, I should mention when they started their terms in office. Bruce Rauner of Illinois started on January 12, 2015. Mike Parsons of Missouri started on June 1, 2018. Matt Bevin of Kentucky started on December 8, 2015. Eric Holcomb of Indiana started on January 9, 2017. Kim Reynolds of Iowa started on May 24, 2017. Scott Walker of Wisconsin started on January 3, 2011. Eric Grietens, should he have been on this list still, had started on January 9, 2017.

While I posted a poll on my twitter handle a while ago about which of the three states with elections for senate I should do a special post on, I knew that I did this knowing that I might not get to any of these posts in the future. If you read my Elementary blog after the primaries in Missouri, Indiana, and Iowa, you would have seen spoiler segments that were actually about the elections there that I cared about. But it does make you wonder which of the elections in the post I should cover. There are pros and cons to each of them.

Just to be clear, I’m talking about the senate elections in Missouri, Indiana, and Wisconsin. The pros of doing one for Missouri is that I live close to it so I would know more about what is going on, it seems like the next one in line to do anyways, and focuses on issues that I really care about. The cons are that I do not need to do anything special in Missouri since I can’t have a beef with a governor who is no longer in office like I do with Eric Holcomb and Scott Walker, leaving me with no reason to keep that spot open in this blog and it might just be better to do a simple post in a normal post anyways.

The pros of doing a special post for Wisconsin are that it would make sense to do it next having just done one for the governor race there and my extra interest in Wisconsin this year. The cons are that it does not seem like I should do it next and my interest in Wisconsin this year doesn’t relate to senate race as much as it does to the governor race. The pros of doing one of Indiana is that I’ll want to do a post for that state on their governor race two years from now, it could prove to be a more pivotal race than others, and I want to keep track of races from this state for relatives of mine. The cons are that I don’t have to get caught up on that for a while and I might be okay with either candidate winning. I will look at the poll results, but might not even have the opportunity or need to do any of them and may just have to wait for what happens starting in the next post.

By now, you probably know about the anonymous op-ed about the formerly secret resistance inside the Trump administration. I found this article so I thought that I would share it here in case you want to read for yourself all about the story in question.

I have more thoughts on Brett Kavanaugh now that it is later in the process and we know more about him than we were wanting to. I saw on the PBS Newshour that 54% of Republicans who think that if the allegations are true about him, he should still be confirmed to the Supreme Court. Many are offering defense of him with some going as far as saying every man tried to take advantage of women in high school and we should all be okay with it. But the main article about the first person who accused him is mentioned here. Sexual assault is very serious so here’s a story about it.

Something that’s important to keep track of is John McCain’s senate seat. I don’t know enough about special elections. What I do know is that his vacancy was before the 2018 elections, he is a class three senator, meaning that his seat isn’t up for its regular election until 2022, and the special election won’t be until 2020. I’m not sure that I like that it is delayed. I wish that it could take place sometime in 2019 as a regular election then. We’ll see if this seat not being brought into play affects the election or not. But I have the feeling that the Republican reaction to Brett Kavanaugh could spark backlash to that party in the upcoming midterms. Look at the polls if you don't believe me.

A facebook friend of mine whose an extended family member of mine has started posting many political limericks on a regular basis. I’m going to start doing it in this blog, unless I hear objections to it. I wonder if I can come up with enough in every regular post. Sorry if the scheme regarding the length of each line does not fit properly. Let’s come up with something now.

There once was a man named Brett
Whose life might have become a wreck
Arguments could be feckless
But a confirmation would be reckless
A rejection would be the best bet

Trump just can’t handle how he failed with the natural disaster of Hurricane Maria. His response then and now is quite terrible. He’s lucky that people in that place can’t vote. But they can move to a state where they can. He’s questioning the numbers of deaths that happened as if it can’t be real. He likes to question facts and his pathetic supporters buy it up like they always do.

If you read or read (those are two different words, just pronounce them differently) my Elementary blog, you would know that I would keep up all the movie updates of what is on a list of stuff that I watch and I will put the updates in this blog until that show returns. Let’s get to the two lists that I started with and I’ll explain more as I go along.

Saturday movies are Absolute Power, Finding Nemo, grade school graduation DVD, I am Sam, The Return of Jafar, and Titanic. Sunday movies are Back to the Future part 3, Celtic Woman: A New Journey, home videos, Indiana Jones (Raiders of the Lost Ark), The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

There was a Trump story about an affair of his that the National Enquirer wanted to run, but he did all that he could to stop the story from running. Here’s the thing that made his efforts pointless: that isn’t a real news organization and you’d think that someone against fake news would know that. It possible that the National Enquirer has made lies more than Trump has, which is saying something. Very little of their stories are actually true so that if the story had run, no one would have believed it due to the very unreliable source running the story. And the kicker? The story is actually true this time.

Hurricane Florence had hit North Carolina, among other areas, which made me wonder if there would be an effect on the Carolina Panthers, but they will be able to play where they normally want to unlike the Saints back in 2005. I don’t know if any sports team has had a long term time away from home other than the New Orleans basketball team. What I do know if that the Panthers are now my 15th favorite team in football and may be used to break any ties between the hurricane teams from last season which are numbers 10-13. Since California has droughts and wildfires, it’s a shame that hurricanes don’t hit the west coast and give them much needed rain.

Before I continue with the movie updates, I should inform you that I have done some movie watching outside of the main lists. Not all of the watching was or got to be completed. Thus, I will be adding some part of an incomplete series to the list at certain points randomly.

Now as for the changes in the lists, I am Sam is now Minions and Back to the Future part 3 is now The Bourne Legacy. I was waiting until there was a change on the Sunday list and something was taken off with something not part of a series. Thus, as I will be getting to shortly, there is now a Friday list.

Switching back to my TV watching list, Farscape season 3 is now Moonlight: the complete series. What makes this addition to the list interesting is that I have a YouTube channel now and I will be reviewing that show on that channel on various Fridays and other, potential videos will come later.

What is the Friday list of movies? They are Courageous, Enchanted, Fireproof, Jason Bourne, Monsters Inc, and Rain Man. What’s interesting is that Courageous probably shouldn’t be on this list and normally is not on any list. I often watch it on Father’s Day given its theme. This is only the second time that I have put it on the list due to being busy on Father’s Day and not having time to watch it as a result.

If you thought that worrying about just the Russians trying to attack us was bad, it seems like we might also have to worry about Chinese election hacks in the future. Of course, this is one of many things that Trump has said without any evidence to back it up. So we might not have anything to worry about from that front. I’ll see if any news source says that it is a real threat or not.

Regarding that poll on twitter that I did about which of the three senate elections I should do a post on, the results were inclusive as no one voted in it. Worse, if you google my name and twitter, my account does not show up on the first page of results (although it was on the second). I’ve decided not to do a poll on a different format and will just decide what to do and might not even have to worry about doing another special post about it until after the election anyways.

If there’s any good that the nightmare of Brett Kavanaugh brings to people, it’s that those in the satire business know how to address things. If you saw the live hearings, then you will know how accurate this sketch is. Also, I know from How I Met Your Mother that the devil’s triangle refers to a three-way with two men and one woman. His accuser mentions that another man was there when the attempted rape against her happened. But if you need a good laugh out of all of this mess, watch this video and I hope that you can enjoy it. I hope that Bad Lip Reading does something about it.

Going back to changes on the movie list, Rain Man is now Rush Hour 2 and The Return of Jafar is now Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue VHS of the first three episodes of the season edited together in a movie like format, hence the reason I watch it as a movie. I was not able to watch a movie on Sunday.

It was on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 that I rolled the number 6 and got to watch the Survivor: Borneo episode Pulling Your Own Weight. This is the fifth episode of the season. There’s not much else to say other than that it could take me a long time to watch this all.

There were problems with the website of Ben Sasse when I went to send him an email. I like to send him more emails than I might others because he put me on a list I never signed up for and now get his emails that I wasn’t interested. They added a layer to make sure that bots don’t get through. You might have seen this type of thing on other websites. There’s this weird looking thing in the picture where you have to find the numbers in it and if you’re a bot, then you wouldn’t be able to make sense of it.

What could the problem be then? Well, the picture never loaded when I went there to send him an email. When I refreshed the page, it still wouldn’t load and only that stupid icon was there. This means that I couldn’t send him an email and neither could anyone else. This better have been a mistake or glitch. The fact that this would happen at all is shady enough. It is very suspicious that this happened around the time of a highly controversial nominee to the Supreme Court. But I guess that I wouldn’t be able to contact him (via email at least) to tell him about the problem.

Lindsey Graham has many, terrible partisan issues that I’m not sure that he understands. I think that he is now worthy of the bottom 10 that I have. I might mention this in a later post. The bottom 10 is the list of who I think are the 10 worst politicians who are incumbent office holders. It does not have to have 10 people, but that is the maximum that I put on there.

Why is Lindsey such a terrible person? Well, if you haven’t seen video of his hyper partisan way of saying his support of Brett Kavanaugh. Lindsey seems like an angry white men and we have far too many of those in office or being appointed to the Supreme Court. He seems like he supports everyone who the president appoints to the Supreme Court, but I know that he didn’t support Merrick Garland.

There is too much hypocrisy by Republican’ts that they must have forgotten that Merrick was ever nominated to the court. Lindsey even made a bad comment about the woman who first came forward and accused Brett of sexual assault. What I need to do here is post a link to two villains from The Flash that accurately represent what Republican’ts are like regarding if they are in charge or not.

On Saturday, October 6, 2018, I rolled the number 6 again and got to watch the sixth episode of the season entitled Udder Revenge. This actually delays when I normally would have posted my CSI: Cyber blog by just a day. But it should matter too much.

The fate of Brett Kavanaugh is that he was confirmed to the Supreme Court with only 50 yes votes. The only people who got less votes were back when the senate less than that 100 members. I just cannot fathom why people think that him being on the court would be a good idea and why they feel that he should be on it. A lot of people felt that the accusations were lies. I saw a woman on the local news who said that she never reported her rape to the police and is glad about that decision. This is the world we live in. We should not be proud of it. According to PBS, 54% of Republicans feel that if the allegations against him are true, he should still be on the court. What the fuck? There’s a good song that sums up my whole feelings about this.

I’ve decided that this will be the last paragraph of this particular post that will be political. I’ve written more than I’ve needed to in this post. Now I will wait until other posts to do more about some subjects that I covered here and others that I’ll cover later. This is a really long post and very little about this will end up being the episode in question, but I will add a part before the important part. Now you might want to know just how long politics in this country have been terrible. Well, I have here some exclusive footage from 1776 where the founding fathers are just like the angry white men of today.

To me, it seems odd that Elizabeth is wanting to run for president at this point in the show. I have the feeling that Hollywood will come up with a bunch of great women presidents before we have one of ourselves in reality. Maybe there will be a time jump in the show. Let’s do the time warp again! Just a jump to the left, then unintelligible lyrics, is what I always hear when listening to that song. But I will wait and see what happens in the end.

Before I get to the football games before primetime, I should get to the last movie watching update that I will include in this post. Rush Hour 2 is now Pocahontas. The grade school gradation is now high school graduation. And a home video is watched and replaced by another home video. There should not be any more updates until the next post.

I tune into FOX and they are airing the Rams/Seahawks game. The Rams are losing. They have 24 points to the Seahawks 31 points. I’ll have to check my CBS affiliates. One is showing the local news. I check the other one and they are showing the CBS Weekend News. Thus, the only game that is on in my region is on FOX. I’ll have to check the score during 60 Minutes.

Going back to the game, the Rams now have 30 points. They haven’t lost yet during the regular season, but it could happen in the future. I watch the cold open of 60 Minutes, although I miss part of it because I was into the game. The Rams are still losing, so we’ll see what happens.

After the first story, I check the game again or try to, but the game isn’t on as commercials are on. The second story then happens. I see that the Rams have 33 points later while the Seahawks have the same number of points. This means that the Rams are now winning. I get supper ready during this time and while I miss the end of the game, I learn that the final score is Rams: 33, Seahawks: 31. The Rams are on quite a winning streak. We’ll see if this lasts. Now after 12 pages largely unrelated to this show, let’s get to the point of it by finally talking about the show in question.

THE IMPORTANT PART BEGINS NOW! Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with Stevie at the white house telling people that her mother is running late for the meeting. Conrad and Russell are doing an amusing anecdote to people. There is some random lady who at the white house when it seems like some sort of bomb went off for some odd reason. We then go back to a week earlier in the timeline. Why do shows often not start on time?

The McCords are having fun on Martha’s Vineyard. Conrad and Russell are there too. Elizabeth has told people that she is running for president and they need to make the announcement official. There is some sort of situation in India. There is violence against citizens against Indians. Russell, as usual, does not want to rush into decisions. A vacation is news, which makes sense. Remember when Obama was criticized for being on vacation once a storm hit Louisiana?

Who is Adele and why is Stevie working for her? Was there a time jump that we all missed? I do not know who this probably new character is that Stevie is talking to. Russell talks about it. From earlier, it seems that Elizabeth wants to make sure she rightfully condemns the wrongs going on in India. This woman that Stevie is working for seems just like the boss from The Devil Wears Prada. Mutually assured destruction is still the nuclear policy going forward on India. That sounds like a bad idea. There are some seemingly minor issues with Elizabeth and Henry.

Henry is then on a sort of show maybe of some sort. He has arguments with the person and it seems that people agree with what is going on. Elizabeth gets a call from a person and they no longer want to do the nuclear deal because of what Henry did on this show.

In segment two, Elizabeth talks about what happened on the show and how she seeks to still advance with the deal. She then tells Henry about what happened. Will he have to apologize for it? He feels that it might be considered false and thus, not wanting to do it. Jay, I think (he looks like Blake and I have a bit of a hard time telling them apart) is talking to someone about the situation. Elizabeth had people at her house in order to try to figure out a solution to what is going on.

In segment three, Russell gets an update about the protests that seem recent. Stevie might have been out at a job interview. It turns out that she was offered a job and is considering it. We then get to some sort of meeting that the main team is doing. Elizabeth later talks with Russell. Elizabeth and Henry then argue some over recent events and making sure that they are on the same page. Stevie wants to make sure that she is respected. Elizabeth is late for what is going on and we get back to the beginning of the show when the bombing happened. She is forcefully taken away from it for her own safety.

In segment four, we get to people after the blast. But what happened? And who did it? And why? What is going on? It seems that the woman from earlier, June, is hurt. Stevie passes out. There was a lot of blood lost. Henry is there and is worried. Russell and Conrad are okay. Conrad talks to Elizabeth about what is going on. They go after suspected bad guys. We then see her at a hospital. Elizabeth and Henry then apologize for the fighting. Elizabeth thinks that white nationalists supremacists (I prefer the second word) might be behind the attack in question.

In segment five, Stevie is doing well according to the doctor, nurse, surgeon, or whoever it was that was talking to her. They talk to her and they are very worried about what is going on. Russell then winds up calling someone to inform them that June is dead. I still don’t know who she was supposed to be. It was an emotional scene to do, I’m sure. Elizabeth then gets in a room with various people who appear to all be real, former secretaries of states. I wonder why they weren’t credited in advance. I almost wasn’t sure that this was happening in this episode. Who is the guy, though? They need to make sure that the country is still united over the attack. The deal then happens.

Elizabeth talks on TV. She wants to make sure that she is attacking the right person. She also wants to make sure that people know the difference between nationalism and true patriotism. I like the speech that she is giving, even though it is hard to summarize it all. I wish that the leaders of the current world would be like this. Oops. I said I was done with politics. But this is the way that politicians of today should be like, but often aren’t.

On the next Madam Secretary, it turns out that the terrorist attack is just the beginning. Well, they do need a plot for this season now, don’t they? It is hard to make sense of what little was revealed in it as they always seem to make promos nowadays too vague. But it is good to be back blogging about the show and now my facebook friends can see these regular posts. Know that for now, you will not know whether these posts will be on Mondays or Tuesdays. If it is one day regularly in the future, I will let you know for sure. Look out for other blogs on Mondays and hopefully there won’t be any issues with this being later than it should be. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
