Episode from 5-20-2018

This episode is the season finale. I’ll find out more about where and when it will be in the schedule in the near future. I also won’t know for sure when this blog will be updated next season. But you don’t have to worry about too much with this blog. I’ll also do updates during the summer that are politically related in a way. I’ll get to the when of things at the end of this post.

A lot of things will be happening to Eric Greitens while this show is on hiatus. Maybe he’ll stay in office despite the scandals against him. They did drop some of the charges against him, but can apparently refill it? What? We’ll see whether or not he stays in office. But I can’t make sense of all of it. What I do know after doing some research is that Bruce Rauner, Illinois’s governor, was an ally to him at one point. Only Bruce wants Eric to resign. Of course, Bruce may only want to cut ties because he would suffer from further association with Eric.

Voter remorse is something that I think should happen more often. I want to hear someone say that they voted for someone that they shouldn’t have. To do otherwise would be like staying on the sinking Titanic and saying that it is a great ship still. That’s what I want to hear from people who voted for Trump. I want them to admit to their mistake and own it. Just like how I never should have voted for Bruce. Both are terrible people. Well, Bruce might be a nice person, but he's a terrible leader.

You still don’t know what the second mystery choice was that was added to the list of other choices that I watch from. I tell the readers of my Good Wife blog about one of the choices for now. Well, I finished watching mystery choice #2 and will replace it with mystery choice #3. As usual, you’ll have to read my Good Wife to know what was gone and is replaced by now. But the point is now that Survivor: Borneo is number 5 of what to be rolled from.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with Elizabeth, Henry, and the rest of their family doing some DC sightseeing for the first time. Stevie cares about other things instead of the trip because of waiting for news from Russell. All of the kids are being phone addicts. I don’t understand why Stevie would be one as an adult. Then again, my mother is more addicted to her phone than I am. Still, why feel the need to insult millennials every chance you get? They are part of the 18-34 demographics that you need.

We see a lot of various people in the main cast doing different things. Conrad and Russell are on the golf course. Elizabeth and Henry have more of a good time at a family fun place then the people that it seems to be designed for. Cat and Blake talk some. We then see a person with the president who sees a problem with the nukes. The Russian deaths in Aleppo seem to be something they are retaliating for. Every sign shows that they could be under attack. But it could be clouds they are seeing and not missiles. Look it up. Jay and Matt are at a tennis court and Jay leaves upon getting an alert. Conrad needs to decide whether or not to strike back at Russia. Cue commercial.

In segment two, we go back to earlier in the day. I saw seemingly random people of some sort. This seems to be the general guy person from earlier, whoever that is. There are tons of reports about the possible strike. You know, if America were ever attacked, we might not have any idea who did it at first. There are tons of possibilities. The divorce is brought up and Conrad has to reenter the code with a new person as the other was relieved of command. This is tense. People are inserting launch keys. Elizabeth is pulled out and hears of the potential attack. She goes back in with her family. What will happen next? And are things really as they seem?

In segment three, we go back to earlier again. Is this like Vantage Point? I like that movie, even if it was a bit confusing. A person comes in to abort the launch. The McCords are worried before they get the all clear option. Elizabeth freaks out over everything. What happened? It was a simulation that had ended up mistaken the order for what the real thing was.

I wonder if the Hawaii missile threat inspired this. Elizabeth wants to change the way things are done. Will things be more rational in the future? Russell takes the side of Elizabeth. It’s a good thing that this fake out that happened was under President Carter because tons of people after him would have made the mistake and gone through with it. There is no way that this would end well under Trump. There is a reason that the bible says “Blessed are the peacekeepers.”

In segment four, I still don’t know what Stevie is upset about. Who is getting married? Elizabeth and Henry talk about what they know that the others don’t. Conrad goes to their house. He tries to explain why he thinks that the Russians would have attacked us. Things that don’t make sense is what drove his decision to strike back. He wants to make a decision that could lead to peace between Russia and them. Matt thinks that there is a special list and that Jay is on it. But Jay probably doesn’t want to be on this supposed list.

Elizabeth has made it all the way to the Cayman Islands to talk to a Russian diplomat. I’m glad that this show is trying to make us working with the Russians a good thing. Dealerting is the idea that Elizabeth wants to give to the Russians. She makes it back to the US rather quickly.

What is the friend card? Do you know what it is? Only a general who is different than the one from earlier thinks that it is a bad idea. Alison worries too much about people who read blogs of hers. I’d like to read a supposed blog by a made up character. Well, if I had time for it, that is. One by Kathrine Herzer and her experiences on the show would be nice too. I don’t care much about who reads what blogs of mine. Elizabeth wants to publicize all the false alarms to the public.

In segment five, Conrad is ready to address the people. He is open about the crisis that had happened. We then switch to a month later. This does lead to a new treaty. But what were the protests about? Were they related in any way to what happened? Or do they relate to other important things that had happened in the last month that we didn’t see? I can’t keep track that much of Daisy’s dog and plot of this episode. What did Blake mean when he said that he wanted more? Things then go back to how they normally were at the start of this episode. Elizabeth is reminded of civic duty. At least a historic thing is done. She wants to run for president in the future. Of course she does.

That’s it for this season. I’m pretty sure that this show will be on at the same time next season during the fall as usual. It is hard to tell for sure since I haven’t been able to look up the information that I want to. At least I have an alternate place or to. Why would I suddenly not be able to access a website? Does anyone know if www.tvseriesfinale.com is still a website? I can’t access it if it is.

If you come here off of the link that I post on facebook, know that when I do the political posts this summer, you won’t be seeing links to them on facebook. For all intents and purposes, the only things that I share on facebook are about episodes of this blog. When will you see political posts? Well, you should see them on Tuesdays, but be on the lookout for other days. You could see them on Saturdays or other days entirely. It all depends on what happens. There will be at least one of them a month. And I will post about any usual changes with them if and when they happen.

While I want to do follow-up posts regarding the Iowa primaries in June and the Missouri and Wisconsin ones in August, you may not see them in this blog. I may put them in the Elementary blog under the spoiler tag sections and will do that for at least Iowa’s primary for governor. I don’t know if that show will still be airing as late as August. The only other possible place to put them would be my Survivor blog which will only happen if I’m blogging about Survivor: Gabon, Survivor: Blood versus Water, or another old season on Sundays or some other day entirely. Those, too, would be in spoiler posts. Since I’m talking about political things, enjoy this election calendar for events that I care about and maybe you should too.

Election calendar (all are on Tuesdays)

June 5th, 2018- Iowa primary for governor

August 7th, 2018- Missouri primary for senator

August 14th, 2018- Wisconsin primary for governor and senator

November 6th, 2018- midterm elections, class one senate elections, two class 2 special senate elections, governor elections in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin, senate elections in Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin

November 5th, 2019- Kentucky gubernatorial general election

November 3rd, 2020- presidential election, class two senate elections, governor elections in Indiana and Missouri, senate elections in Illinois, Kentucky, and Iowa

November 8th, 2022- midterm elections, class three senate elections, governor elections in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin, senate elections in Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Kentucky

I’m not sure what else there is to say in this post as I close out the normal posts for the summer. A lot will happen in this summer politically. I don’t know how much of it will be worth keeping track of. You should see the regular posts appear the Tuesday after the new episode aired, but things could change in the future. Keep an eye out for various things and this blog should be normal in the future. Things could change a lot with me subject to rolling Survivor on random days. If I currently roll it on a Saturday, you will see either a political post of this blog or a post of some sort of my CSI: Cyber blog. I’ll see you a long time in the future. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 5-13-2018

I have decided what to do with anyone and everyone who leaves the cast of this show for any reason. I will add them to the cast updates I have for my CSI: Cyber blog. If I ever change them to a different blog, I will let you know. This means that Bebe Neuwirth will be in the updates of that blog starting with the next month’s post. Here is the link to that blog:

The election for class one senator seats is this year. But there will also be at least two special elections for class two senate seats this year as well. In addition to the regular elections they were having for one seat, both Minnesota and Mississippi are having special elections for the other senate seat. It is possible that the class three seat in Arizona becomes vacant before the 2018 election.

Since the primary in Indiana has happened now, I will get to the results from it. Since he ended up not having an opponent in the primary, Joe Donnelly won the Democratic primary. Mike Braun won the Republican primary. He was actually the person who I wanted to win on that side. While I don’t want Joe to lose reelection, I’ll feel better if he loses to someone like Mike who I hope is a good candidate like I seem to think that he is. Expect more updates on other elections in the future. I might even end up doing special posts for them. When I get to the season finale post on May 22nd (which is when it should be published), I’ll explain more of what I’ll do with this blog during the summer.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. There is a shootout in a foreign country or, quite possibly, somewhere in America with foreigners. Elizabeth is doing something related to Ramadan. I’m not sure why this is being done, but this tradition dates back to Thomas Jefferson, who didn’t practice what he preached. Blake talks to Elizabeth some. She wants to fire him in six months. Did I miss this? He wasn’t part of the thing he shouldn’t have done, right? I thought that Cat and Jay did that. Elizabeth is then called into the White House. Russell is being chewed out by his wife over his health. He is apparently part of the geezer group where he doesn’t care as much about things that he used to. Stevie gets yelled at because of this.

We then go to the situation room. It was a takeover of a foreign place that had happened. Conrad wants to assess the options going forward and it seems like a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. As usual, Elizabeth has a good idea of what to do. Elizabeth and Conrad talk to a foreign leader over Skype. You know what that means! Take a shot! As usual, the foreign leader won’t cooperate.

In segment two, Jay and Elizabeth talk about the person whose name I’d butcher spelling if I even heard it right. This issue relates to an election of some sort. The Turkish government has gone dark. Blake is talking to people, although I’m unsure of what is going on.

There is a seating chart for a wedding that needs to be figured out. Here’s an idea: don’t do one. It makes things really easy on everyone and you can sit wherever you want to as long as there is room at the table. That way, you can avoid, more often than not, people you don’t like who might also be there, that you might have been forced to sit with due to people not knowing or caring about your situation with these people. I kind of lost focus there for a moment, didn’t I? I missed what happened before the commercial. I am live watching this.

In segment three, it is unclear who is in charge of Turkey. Perhaps the farmer is. And this is actually dam if you do and dam if you don’t. They talk to someone who doesn’t seem to want to help at all. What else is new? As much as I love this show, it is too full of its own clichés.

Stevie wants to try to help Russell become a healthier person. He gets mad that she told Henry about the situation. He wanted it to be a secret. There is more of this wedding thing that confuses me. Or maybe it isn’t a wedding. It is a feast that is held during the nighttime hours between various people. Elizabeth talks beforehand and thanks the person from Turkey. She then talks to him alone in an elevator. I wonder if they will shut off the elevator like in NCIS.

In segment four, Elizabeth talks to the diplomat about what he could do to help the situation. Russell and Henry talk about different things. Blake talks to some person who seems random, but is probably important in way. The water was turned off at the dam. People want to blow it up. Conrad wants to try to do a new raid. It kills bugs, right?

In segment five, we see more of this dam in Iraq that was so important to this episode. There is some sort of team there. But the dam is secure and they deactivate the explosives. The foreigner minister of Turkey is arrested, it seems, at the airport. This is because of dates that he had. But Elizabeth is wanting to do this to keep him under asylum. Russell knows the meaning of life. So do I! He talks with Henry about how his life has changed since his heart attack. Russell liked making model planes as a kid. Henry thinks that Russell should start doing that again. I miss things a lot. Blake refuses a job, but still needs to find a new one. Russia was accidently targeted with airstrikes and that could cause problems.

On the next Madam Secretary, the US is under nuclear attack. Will things seem more problematic in the promos than they are in the episode? Next episode is the season finale and it could be a cliffhanger. At least it will return for next season. I guess we’ll find out what happens later next time. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 5-6-2018

This season is winding down and will be over soon. There might be some changes to this blog that will take place. But I should explain more in the end of the season finale’s post about what all will happen and change or could change in the future. Also, as for the two tied NFL teams in my rankings, I should look up the information that I need in the season premiere’s blog post.

It can be sad the world that we live in when an email that you get called “Let’s Talk about Marijuana” isn’t spam. J B Pritzker, the Democrat who won the primary for governor of Illinois, wants to make it legal. But that’s a terrible idea. People have suddenly started acting like pot is no big deal and has never caused any problems. They legalized it in Colorado and now the number of traffic accidents is up. Here is a link explaining why pot is a bad idea.

There is this song that they did on Saturday Night Live that is actually quite informative, teaching me some of the things that I learned in college as well. It talks about a whole bunch of different things and one of them is relevant based on what the previous episode mentioned. Enjoy the video and see if you can see why I’m mentioning it based on the nuclear power thing mentioned somewhere in the song. Is it a good thing, nuclear power?

If you’ve been following the scandals of Missouri governor Eric Greitens, you’ll know that it seems like things are only getting worse and worse for him. Lawyers are right to be concerned that he might not get a fair trial. But since Rod Blagojevich got a fair trial in his state, I don’t see why anyone should be that concerned about that (although some concern is warranted). There are more and more problems that he’s being charged with. Will he be impeached, jailed, have to resign, or any other problem? What I’m also wondering about is how it could affect the Missouri race for Senate and the Illinois governor election. While both are unrelated for the most part, Missouri is the same state and it could have affects for anyone who has any relationship with Eric and the Illinois election would be affected by Eric who had endorsed Bruce Rauner, the incumbent governor running for reelection this year.

You probably hear about evangelists over and over again. I’m not entirely sure what they are. But as a Christian, I can probably tell you what they aren’t. They are NOT Christians. Satan is a very powerful being and one of his greatest bits of deception that he pulls is getting people to think that a certain group of people with beliefs contrary to what Christ actually taught is somehow part of the real and actual Christian church.

One of the most notorious examples of Satan’s handiwork is the Westero Baptist Cult (I call it what it really is) and it seems that even if these Trump supporters are, in fact, really Christian, then they need to relearn the bible. Trump has no credible signs of faith and does not ask for forgiveness for anything that he has done wrong. But it seems like people are blinded by anyone who is pro-life that they are willing to overlook every other problem with him or her and say that the church will always support them.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with a reporter named Neal (spelled the right way for a change) getting access to Elizabeth McCord and her team for a day. It seems like he might be more critical of her, possibly, but I can’t tell for sure. Since I know him from The Mentalist, it seems like he could suffer from the occasional curse where if I know the guest star from something, he will be evil in the episode he appears in. Cat is the most wary of him. Elizabeth is open enough saying that she has made mistakes in the past. Honestly, I wouldn’t trust a politician who thought that they never made a mistake of any kind.

In segment two, Neal is with the McCord family at their house where he stays with them for supper. Elizabeth gets a phone call which Alison says is what her being secretary of state can be like for those in her family. Neal talks to a person about how Elizabeth might have unintentionally caused the Taliban to exist in some way. A reporter for a different place that Neal openly thinks is fake wants his take on his current assignment and maybe more of what is going on.

In segment three, Neal seems to look at the file he was given by the shady reporter, against his wife’s wishes. But I can’t tell for sure what was going on there. The evil senator from this season, the one whose name sounds sort of like Moran but probably isn’t (although there is someone in the cast of the show The Resident whose first name is Moran who probably has mysteriously murdered parents) has more demands and Neal isn’t able to hear all of what goes on since someone blocks the conversation. Russell shows up again and goes on rants that Elizabeth wants to make sure are not on the record. There are files on people that seem to have their dark secrets with them but only the truly evil would ever use them, it seems.

In segment four, Elizabeth seems to have to make a bad deal and she has to do it in front of Neal who already knows too much. He listens to a speech that she gives only for Matt to point out that it isn’t what he wrote. He is conflicted and has many different feelings about what to say in his article. His wife winds up going into labor.

In segment five, Neal is there at the hospital with one of the kids that his wife just had. Elizabeth shows up and gives him a gift. The article seems to have pointed out all sides of the going ons of her team. He tells his baby that Elizabeth will be president in the future. You know, if you look back, you will find a point in time where nine future presidents were all alive at once. How many future presidents could be alive right now? And is Mike Pence one of them? Do we want him to be one of them? Neal wants to give the thumb drive with sensitive information about Elizabeth to her. She declines. Instead, he gives it to Blake, I believe. For some reason, I keep confusing Blake and Jay.

On the next Madam Secretary, there could be some sort of government crisis again. Let’s spin the wheel of all the basic plots that this show turns out. We have: international crisis, domestic crisis, family crisis, problems within the team, problems with relationships, focusing on someone or something on a more internal basis than usual, and something else entirely. Enjoy your episode! I guess that I’ll find out then what all it will be about. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 4-29-2018

It turns out that the show has been renewed for another season for sure. That’s pretty good. I will say at the end of the season finale’s post what will happen with this blog over the summer. I don’t know the future of Elementary yet. It seems likely to end, but might not. If it does end, I would do cast updates with it like I do with my Good Wife and CSI: Cyber blogs. And I would add Bebe Neuwirth from this show to it since I don’t know where else to put her in the meantime. I don’t know if she is still acting or not. What I do know is that I did not have much time to work on this post, so I should have more of things mentioned in the next post. I just do not have all the writing time that I used to have.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with yet another dispute between countries, this one over who owns the North Pole. I thought that Santa Claus did. Elizabeth and some of her team go to a conference in Canada. Jason and Piper go with them. There is a different problem regarding a summit with different types of power. Someone wants to take out nuclear power and replace it with gas power. Hey, as long as they realize that coal power is dying, then there isn’t much else to say about that. Henry has a student that seems to be interesting in some way. I find it weird that he would ask for the papers at the end of class. There is a bombing at the Canadian summit and Elizabeth is instantly worried about Jason.

In segment two, Jason is missing for a bit after the bombing until Elizabeth finds him in Piper’s room. It seems that they were interrupted before sex was going to happen. He was playing music, which makes me wonder if that alone covered up the sound of the alarm that was going off. Otherwise, they should have been able to hear it, right? Were they so horny that they were going to ignore the danger? Also, Henry learns that a student of his seems to have committed plagiarism.

In segment three, Russia is responsible for the bomb, it seems. The student of Henry’s doesn’t want to fight in the Air Force as he doesn’t want to kill anyone. There was a person who was released from jail who bashes people when she was only supposed to apologize. There are more problems with the whole power thing, but not as much as there could be. The parent of this military student of Henry’s says that he could still work in the Air Force if he could see something other than the peaceful side of things since he originally didn’t want to do martial arts until he kept with it.

In segment four, Jason is apologetic over the hotel incident and claims that nothing happened and that he is now being ghosted by Piper. Mr. Shin, the Chinese diplomat that we have seen in various episodes from time to time, shows up again and Elizabeth has to give into demands that China may own parts of the arctic. A ship from a foreign country goes somewhere it shouldn’t be.

In segment five, after some tense moments, the Russian ship turns around. The energy thing seems to be resolved for the moment. Apparently nuclear power is good. But I might have to post a video that would say otherwise. People just want to combat climate change. It is a real thing so it seems dumb that there is a national party that can’t accept that it is real. Nearest I can tell, they want to deny that there is a problem so that they don’t have to solve it. Sorry about that. I went off on a tangent for a bit. As for the rest of the episode, Jason talks to Stevie who randomly shows up again despite not being in a lot of the episodes recently. He and Piper broke up. She just wasn’t ready for more of a relationship.

On the next Madam Secretary, one bit of bad press can take the president down. That can be part of what makes this show fiction. Although, it might depend on what the bad press is. I just know that Trump has gotten a lot of bad press and his administration continues. Actually, I’m kind of annoyed that he is still focused on by the news industry as much as he is when he is always attacking them simply for sharing true stories about him that he doesn’t like. Of course, if he were a more respectable person, then he wouldn’t have to worry about such things. Guess I was political some in this post after all. I’ll be back with the next post on Tuesday as usual. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
