Episode from 1-7-2018

The poor people who watch FOX had to endure with tape delay two weeks in a row after late airing games that featured The Rams. This means that if I had a blog about Bob’s Burgers, it would lead to me creating a blog about Family Guy since that is what aired after it when it was delayed. I’d like to have a blog about The Simpsons but only if I could put it on my laptop all the time and get the Easter eggs from it in the blog since I don’t know how else to get pictures from it except when it is on my TV tuner.

I realize that I forget to mention more of the Alabama Senate race in the last post. Maybe I shouldn’t kick people when they are down, but I feel like the Roy Moore supporters are quite dumb. Let’s go with the logic behind some of their points. 1- Roy is the lesser of two evils. Wait, what? How is Doug Jones evil? I don’t see anything wrong with him.

And as a pro-life person, I have to say that voting on the sole issue of abortion is incredibly dumb. I would not vote for someone just because they are against it as if a Supreme Court decision can be undone magically with a stroke of a pen. 2- The timing of the allegations against Roy are suspicious. If that’s true, what about the Al Franken allegations or the dozens of other men who have been accused this year? 3- I believe the women but I have to vote Republican. This is one of the worst reasons to defend someone.

I’ll remind you that over 50 Republicans said that they would not vote for Donald Trump. If only there were more. 4- I’m Christian and Christians have to vote a certain way and blatantly ignore any problems with our candidates. This is sofa king stupid that as a Christian myself, I should remind others that there are some who think that Christians are just brainwashed and this is one of the reasons why they think that. There’s a huge difference between forgiveness and ignorance. 5- I believe the allegations against Roy, but I’m making tons of lame excuses for them. It was a different world when Jesus was born and if you want a good summary of this, then watch The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Let’s get to some of the trivia over the election. The last Democrat senator before Doug Jones who was elected from the state of Alabama was Richard Shelby. If you know much about the current people in the senate, you’d wonder if this is the same Richard Shelby who is still in the senate as a Republican. Well, it is the same one. After first getting elected as a Democrat, he switched parties and has remained and gotten reelected as a Republican all this time. This election was originally going to be with the other senate elections in 2018 and was moved up under Alabama’s new governor. I like that it is out of the way now, although I hated how much coverage it ended up getting.

Ever since Trump has started making You Can’t Always Get What You Want his song of choice for what has to be a really dumb reason, I’ve thought about tons of other songs and pieces of music that would work well to describe him. I thought that he can seem similar to the villain of Kefka from Final Fantasy VI. He starts out as a clown but slowly gets more and more powerful, people somehow lose when they fight against him, he somehow manages to get control of everything making people fear him and the end of the world coming, he has a huge, lofty tower, and his mental health is probably very worrisome. If you think that I’m right about this, listen to the song Dancing Mad, the final boss theme of the game where the heroes face off against him for the last time.

I don’t know what else there is to say here. I would say more of the tax bill, but I don’t know of a truly neutral source on it and it might not be as bad as people seem to think. But I do think that it will make the national debt larger since they are cutting a lot with no way of making up the money. As for last Rams versus Chargers update of the season, I think that I will wait until the next post to mention it here in this blog. Maybe I’ll put it in the introduction of the post.

I start watching the football game on FOX which is the Saints versus the Panthers. It is a play-off game, although I don’t know why there are more than two wildcard games for a league. The Saints are winning the game at the moment. Since today is the night of the Golden Globes, I will be mainly watching that tonight, although I will record what I normally watch on both my laptop and on tape.

Not much really changes in regards to who is winning when I keep checking back on the game. I just wish that it was one where I care about a team for sure. I just hope that some team that I like keeps winning play-off games and the Titans are in it. The Saints win the game and delay the shows on FOX by 7 minutes largely due to them airing a post game show. Meanwhile, the CBS shows aired normally, which is kind of funny, if only its delays were done for the season.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with some weird sort of thing going on with two Russians, it would seem. They are up to no good, which would mean that they must pay the up to no good tax. Elizabeth gets debriefed on a new situation that is going on. It seems that someone in charge of Russia suddenly bans adoptions with America. This affects the guy from A Christmas Story who has some medical condition that causes problems of some sort that I hope to understand more later. Stevie sneaks off for sex with Alexander and someone spies on them later and placed something in his car that might be a bomb or a tracker of some sort, but certainly something complicated. There are some problems with the vice president as she says something to force action on people.

In segment two, Elizabeth talks some with the vice-president whose name I either don’t know or can’t remember. There might be some more bickering between them in the future. There are some changes to the Russian thing, but not too much. It is hard to tell for sure what all is going on. What I can gather is that it is possible that Russell may have supported the vice-president over Elizabeth for a potential run for president. Elizabeth and Henry are called into an office where they learn about Stevie dating Alex and the problems that could result because of it.

In segment three, Henry talks to Alexander and suspends him from the team for a bit. Elizabeth and Henry then talk to Stevie about her relationship with Alexander and how they can’t see each other again for safety reasons. Elizabeth and the vice-president travel together to Russia where they work to resolve the situation at hand. Henry thinks of a risky move involving Alexander to try.

In segment four, Henry tries his spy stuff, only there are problems with it. There was a bomb on the car of Alexander, but he gets out in time. It seems that whoever was there wasn’t caught. Was the main person even there at all? Someone bad was there. There are problems trying to find a solution to the Russian problem and it seems that negotiating might somehow make things worse.

In segment five, it turns out that people are able to catch the one person when he went through an FBI checkpoint. Elizabeth and the vice-president want to bury the hatchet, only Elizabeth won’t announce that she isn’t running for president. The main problem I see with that is that the election isn’t for quite a while so why announce it now? Stevie and Alexander get to see each other one last time. She learns his real name. I don’t know if he is going out of the show or not, but they faked us out with him before, so we might see him again. Also, the boy is brought in to this country like the plan was originally.

On the next Madam Secretary, it seems that the president is going to get angry and out of control. What else is new? Maybe this show should focus less on events similar to the real world, even if they do seem to have good takes on them. We just need a break from all that. The moment they start with problems with North Korea, then I know that they are just ripping things from the headlines. There’s not much else to say. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
