Episode from 5-21-2017

Well, this should be filling in the long gap that I’ve had for nearly this whole blog’s existence. Unless this somehow isn’t done by next season’s premiere, this should mean that I’m finally caught up on this blog and I’ll hopefully never get behind on it again. I can’t promise that for sure, but it should be the start of an era where I’m actually updated on it for a change. Meanwhile, Elementary was somehow renewed for the next season, but I’ll still have to see the schedule for it to know what, if anything, has changed regarding when things will air. It turns out that this will have the latest airing Sunday slot (a death slot) and Elementary is gone until some, currently unknown time. Yikes. That’s not good. I guess we’ll see what ends up happening with this show next season.

Today’s episode is brought to you by ~3 minute delay. I have no idea what caused it. We begin with Henry preparing for a job interview. He ends up getting the job quite easily. It seems just a bit suspicious to me that he got it so quickly. Anyways, there’s yet another international crisis with a body that was buried in the wrong place, it seems. Russia might be up to evil again, this time trying to annex another country, although the Crimea situation shouldn’t have happened in the timeframe of the show. People get fed up with what is going on regarding the situation at hand.

In segment two, there is more talk about France not taking part in whatever issue is going on that I don’t fully understand. This show doesn’t make as much sense as I want it to. There are continued efforts to resolve the issues, but they appear to go nowhere for now. The person that Nadine has been with since election night might be cheating on her.

In segment three, Dmitri is around to help Henry with investigating the possible Russia problems. Nadine thinks that this person she knows was working with the Russia government. A video was found that revealed more information on some of the shady business going down.

In segment four, the NATO people agree to invoke article 5, whatever that is, although France abstains from the vote itself. I lose track of some of what happened while I was watching this. It seems that Nadine has problems with her lover person since she investigated him.

In segment five, everything has a good resolution, it seems. I can’t tell exactly what all happened, but it seems to have a good resolution. Yay! The McCords go to a cabin in the woods to hang out. The person is buried now in the US where he belongs. That is all for this season. I’ll be back sometime with the next season or sometime this summer with a political post should there be nothing else to post during a month. I’ll see you then, hopefully with a better updating schedule than I’ve been doing. I should stay on Mondays with some occasional posts on Tuesdays. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode 5-14-2017

I won’t know until the upfronts when this show will be airing. It could still be on Sundays or they could have moved it to another slot. If it is on Sundays still before 9 Central, then the rules about it creating a blog about that show will still apply. If I don’t like that show, then the rule will apply instead to creating a blog about Bob’s Burgers, something that I’m not sure if I’ll ever end up doing. It would be far too complicated to start that blog now anyways, although it remains a possibility. Also a problem would be if the show that could potentially air after this on Sundays is part of the NCIS franchise. Currently, there are six shows that are part of it (the three ones with the NCIS title and three others through some form of crossover) that are still on the air with new episodes. I do have an idea for how I could expand to create a new blog for all of these shows so we’ll see if that happens or not.

I don’t think that the anti-vaccine movement realizes how fucking stupid they are. Vaccines work. And they don’t give people autism. Even if they did, plenty of worse things could and would happen to a child who is not vaccinated. But autism is likely genetic. Even if it isn’t you still get it before you are born and you don’t get vaccines until after you are born. Plus, autism existed long before vaccines did. And since the majority of people are vaccinated, why don’t the majority of people have autism? Maybe it is because vaccines don't cause it. There’s plenty more evidence that I could bring up but I won’t. These people are worse than those that can’t accept that climate change is real.

Since I brought up the climate change thing, why oh why can’t people just accept that it is reality? Instead of a freak snowstorm in the Midwest in December of 2015, it was instead a bunch of flooding. Then flooding happens all over again. There are tons of terrible weather events all over and there are still people clinging to the mere 3% of scientists who don’t think climate change in real. This is made worse by the fact that the right has invented this supposed war on coal that gives them justification for continuing to pollute our own planet’s air. They label any environmentalist an extremist and don’t seem to realize that we live on the same planet earth and shouldn’t be continuing to destroy it.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with people witnessing the power of a virus. Stevie seems to quickly agree to help babysit her siblings, which actually concerns Elizabeth. Maybe it is like how a show that quickly fills the gap of another show’s timeslot is actually in danger itself. People try to escape in a tunnel, but some wind up shot.

In segment two, there is a continued crisis going on. But this shouldn’t affect a planned trip to another part of the world. There is a raid on the lab where this virus is, only there are problems when an airstrike hits the wrong place by mistake.

In segment three, various things happen. Henry and some sort of friend or coworker try to get some information from a possible pastor who was hurt in an attack of some sort from earlier. Jason gets sick, possibly with appendicitis. Terrorists might be trying to attack the pope.

In segment four, Stevie is at the hospital with Jason even though this causes her to miss an interview for Harvard, I think (some college). Blake is apparently gay even though he isn’t open about it. Now I hope this doesn’t sound bigoted, but they are overusing gays on television. Time Magazine confirmed this by saying that there are now more gays on TV than ever before in an issue. When the crashed drone from a possible attack on the pope that was thwarted is revealed not to have a virus in it, this makes them think that an attack is going to happen at the current gathering on the president.

In segment five, the place is evacuated and only the two people trying to release that pathogen die, although it looked like someone else got shot. Stevie decides that she is not interested in Harvard and wants to help with her family instead. Blake reveals to Elizabeth that he is bi-sexual and not gay.

On the next Madam Secretary, it appears that Russia is planning an attack of some sort. It is on a NATO ally, which isn’t good. They want to avoid a Crimea thing from happening again. I never understood the whole Crimea thing. It seemed like Russia wanted to take it over, but it also seemed that Crimea didn’t care if this happened or not. Seems odd, right? I’ll be back with the next episode, which is the season finale. This should all be published before the next season starts. There’s not much else to say. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Politics: Supporting Obamacare

Remember when I said that I might do purely political posts in this blog? Remember when I said that I probably wouldn’t do it this summer? Well, I’m changing my mind and doing at least this one post in support of one of the greatest achievements of this millennia.

Why is there so much of a fight against Obamacare? Well, misinformation about it is rampart throughout the whole discussion about it. There seems to be this idea that millions have lost their health care coverage because of it. But is that true? I have yet to hear the story of one single person who lost their coverage because of Obamacare.

What is true that nobody talks about is that 45,000 people would die a year due to lack of health care coverage before Obamacare became law. If the law is repealed, that number could return with an additional 2,000 deaths a year. I read these numbers in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and could mail a copy to anyone who doubts it.

Millions being uninsured without Obamacare is going to happen if the law passes. If it doesn’t pass, then people will have a guaranteed form of coverage should all other options fail. If people did lose coverage because of Obamacare, than why couldn’t they get it instead? It’s not like one can be denied insurance that way.

One of the things that this new law before the senate would do is give the rich a tax cut. Do the rich really need a tax cut? Some say that the rich pay enough in taxes. This is true. They pay more taxes than the middle class. But it’s not like they pay so much in taxes that they are no longer rich. So why would they need a tax cut if it would just take money from the poor?

Something that opponents of Obamacare don’t seem to realize is that it really sucks to have a pre-existing condition when it comes to health care coverage. If I didn’t have autism, I wouldn’t have to worry about being denied coverage from any other insurance. I am only insured right now because Obamacare exists and can cover me.

What is socialism? You hear about it so often from the Republican’ts. They criticize anything that they label as socialism and they never tell you what socialism is. Let’s be honest: they don’t know. They just like complaining about things. They mention socialism as a problem such as socialized medicine taking over health care. But what is it and is it really bad?

Look at all the countries that have socialized medicine: England, Canada, Cuba, France, etc. Do people complain about health care coverage there? Republican’ts would have you believe that. But they haven’t. I heard that if you are in England, they laugh at the idea of one having to pay for birth control because they find that to be such a ridiculous concept. They seriously wonder why anyone would have to pay for birth control. Also, you can get free money with no strings attached there to pay for any medical bills that you might get but probably won’t. And when it comes to the international ranking of different countries health care systems, it is those with socialized medicine that rank much higher than the US does.

This takes us back to socialism and why people don’t understand it. Without socialism in this country, there wouldn’t be military, public schools, libraries, fire fighters, or post office workers. And if you don’t think that’s what socialism is, then you don’t know what it really is.

So many people talk about the rising premiums that have happened over Obamacare. If you repeal it, the problem of rising premiums would get worse, not better nor nonexistent. Premiums rose plenty long before Obamacare took effect. It seems that people merely used it as an excuse to not like it. It was like how it was over 30 years after the Cubs won the World Series before the curse of Billy Goat happened. They finally had an excuse for their problems until they managed to pull off a win against another cursed team.

The main problem that I hear about Obamacare is the line, “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” So many people claim that line was a lie. Was it? With all this talk about how people lost their doctor because of Obamacare, you’d think that we’d see it in ads across TV stations of all the stories of people affected by this. But you don’t ever hear one single story of a person who lost their doctor or their coverage because of Obamacare. If I knew of one, then I’d be more likely to believe it. Otherwise, it is an alternative fact to me. So if you are reading this and knew someone who lost their doctor because of Obamacare, by all means, tell me about this by commenting on this post.

One of the most ironic things about the Republican’t fight to get rid of Obamacare is that John McCain couldn’t vote for it because he was in the hospital getting treatment. I really do wish the best for John McCain as I wouldn’t want anyone to die because of issues relating to their health care. That’s what makes the fight against Obamacare so ridiculous. It has always ever been about those with health care telling those without it that they shouldn’t have to have it. Every elected official who serves in Congress or the Senate has their own version of universal health care coverage. Should they really tell the rest of us that we shouldn’t have it too?

It seems that many people don’t feel that health care coverage is a right. Why? Why would any good natured person feel that way? John McCain thought that it should be a privilege. Well, isn’t he lucky that he’s privileged then? But if the rich don’t want to be hated by the poor, they should be able to help those less fortunate. Why would we want to live in a world where health care coverage isn’t a right? That’s not a world I want to live in. If health care coverage isn’t a right, then are you saying that only the rich can get sick and have problems? Last I checked, the poor were more likely to be sick and they would need coverage by the government if they can’t afford to pay for it with their own money. And try not to think of the poor as welfare scammers. Some people who can’t afford things aren’t even what some would call poor or be on welfare.

This leaves me with my final point of this post: If Obamacare is repealed, will you pay for my health care coverage? I doubt that I could afford all of whatever coverage I would need if I needed it which I would sooner or later (hopefully later). Of course, my death could wind up coming swift and be over so quickly that I wouldn’t know. But if I die because I can’t afford coverage, then you’d have to wonder why they repealed a law that would have given me the coverage and money that I would have needed to use. For all those against Obamacare, just remember that in case it is repealed and I can’t afford coverage. Surely you could help a person out since that’s what the conservatives say they care about is the everyman. You do care about the everyman, right? While I would rather live than die, I don’t think that I want to live in a world where Obamacare is repealed. It makes me hope I could find a great job and life somewhere in Canada.

Episode from 4-9-2017

In the present, I’m not sure how I’m going to be updating this blog in the near future. I could post every Sunday or Sundays from April 9^th until a new episode doesn’t air on a Sunday. There are potentially two other blogs that could wind up on Sundays in the future. I’m hoping that this finds a home other than Sunday and it can stay there forever. I could potentially start alternating this between my TV blog on Saturdays in the future, but I’m not sure that I will. I don’t know for sure what is going on in the future with my own blog, so we’ll see what ends up happening with that.

There is only one team that I’m still rooting for in March Madness. That team is North Carolina, which was originally only in contention due to the NCAA banning the state of North Carolina from hosing any of the tournament. They then played a game before primetime on Sunday on CBS and ended up winning it so that’s pretty cool as well. They are in the final four and need only win two more games to come out on top. Will they? I guess we’ll see. Something to note is that two of the teams that have beaten other teams of interest are in the final four. So this makes the final four, two teams that have beaten teams of interest, a team of interest, and another team. We’ll see what happens regarding that.

North Carolina is in the final four of the NCAA tournament. They progressed to the championship game. They played it against Gonzaga. Who won the tournament? The game was close a lot as the winning team kept changing. It was North Carolina who ultimately won. Like Duke, they had won the game before primetime the second week of March Madness then ended up winning the championship. I wonder if this will happen again in 2019 or even 2018. I guess that we’ll have to wait and see.

This episode is airing on Palm Sunday. They are not airing shows on CBS on Easter, but it is still a dumb idea to have shows then. Of course, the worst time to air new Sunday shows is every Mother’s Day without fail. Of course, my problem then is more shows I like not coming in then it is me not being able to watch shows at all then. There are a lot of shows that I watch on Sundays. They are Once Upon a Time, The Simpsons, NCIS: Los Angeles, Making History, this show, of course, Family Guy, Shades of Blue, The Last Man on Earth, and Elementary. I was watching Time after Time, but it got cancelled. There are times when I watch 60 Minutes, Bob’s Burgers, and Match Game.

It is before 5:45 when I look to see the Masters on TV. If someone could prevent this from ever airing again, that would be nice. I can’t tell what is going on. This is so boring. It is excessively dumb. Someone get to something interesting! I watch a rerun of The Simpsons at this time and then have to leave my house before I can come back. I’m back and the fucking Masters are still on before 7. Maybe this is a good thing if this aligns shows up exactly an hour late or mostly that time. Of course, this means that Elementary won’t be on. But I messed up when I was supposed to start that blog. This will mess up when they are supposed to air the rest of it, so we’ll see for sure if what changes with that.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 1 hour delay. We begin with victims of human trafficking. Elizabeth and the team learns about them. They talk to a foreign person and there is a movie going on in his country. I don’t fully understand what goes on and neither do they. It appears that they are going to have to get an actress to appear at his birthday party.

In segment two, there are talks with the actress, but her mother or agent or whoever she is wasn’t going to let this happen. Alison is preparing for a school dance. Henry, who has leg issues for written in reasons that I haven’t seen yet, talks to his agent about a bomb. He realizes that it is in a truck so he quickly rides it away to a safe place where it explodes like a unicorn.

In segment three, there is more to the school dance thing that I don’t understand. I also don’t fully understand who was driving the truck that exploded. They find the missing girls (women?), only they had suffocated in the back of a truck.

In segment four, Alison didn’t seem to have a good time at the dance. Nothing bad happened, but she feels that things could have gotten out of hand easily. It’s possible that Jason could have done more than he did. I can’t tell what went on with the missing girls, but it seems that some are rescued and someone else isn’t. I don’t know what is going on here. It seems like people get confused and people snap at each other.

In segment five, there seems to be a strange end to the subplot regarding the children. Jason wrote something on the car of the bad person and things were resolved somehow. The team reacts sadly to the whole women thing as they had watched the people drive away and weren’t able to do anything to stop it. Boy this episode was really confusing.

On the next Madam Secretary, there’s a lot of stuff that’s revealed, sort of, in the promo. There is an arms dealer that had to be negotiated with in order to feed people. Henry didn’t tell Elizabeth about something, presumably him driving the truck with the bomb in it. I’ll be back whenever the new episode is. It won’t be on Easter due to some strange musical special airing in its place. But I will be back then with the newest episode. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 3-26-2017

Well, I know that I have been trying to get caught up on all of these old episodes that I haven't posted yet. You might be thinking that I'll continue doing that until I'm out of episodes. Well, I'm not actually going to do that anymore like I once thought that I might. You see, I want to make sure that I blog about this show once a month. I'm not even sure yet if this will stay on Sundays and it might be better for me if it doesn't. I have enough posts left with old episodes to fill out each month until the show returns. Then, I promise that I'll be up to date with episodes for a change. I was thinking of doing posts that were purely politically, but I decided not to as this is not a blog about politics even though I do mention it a lot in this blog. Maybe I'll do that sometime next summer. I'm also done with the random posting on other days of the week as I will move my cheat of that back to my TV blog for now. Posts should be on Mondays or Tuesdays in the future. For now, enjoy this next update.

Now we are to the sweet sixteen in March Madness. You might be wondering what teams I care about that are still in the tournament. They are Kansas, Butler, and North Carolina. My field of teams are dwindling and are destined to get smaller still as Butler and North Carolina are playing each other in the next game that they each play. I will see if there are any games before primetime today. If there are, I may start rooting for the winner. If there aren’t, then I guess that my picks to move ahead are locked in until the end of the tournament. This episode could get delayed like the last one, but I might be able to get caught up sooner.

Now there is good news for this show. It was renewed for season 4! That’s cool. I don’t think that its ratings have been all that good so it will need a boost for next season or it will end then. I guess that we will see what happens with that later.

Back to March Madness: Kansas is advancing in the tournament to the elite 8. Now Butler and North Carolina are going to battle it out. Can Butler, the lower seeded team, pull off a victory? I guess that we will see pretty soon. Regardless of who wins, I’ll still have a team between them to root for. I’ll just have one less than possible and I otherwise could have under different circumstances. I’ll see what happens with what CBS might be airing before primetime on Sunday soon.

In the Butler and North Carolina match-up, it is North Carolina that wins and advances to the elite 8. Kansas lost their game to Oregon and won’t be moving on to the final four. North Carolina played Kentucky in their next game that aired before primetime on CBS. I could have actually had a team to root for there in case either team won. But North Carolina won and stayed my only team of interest. Now if they can only win two more games, they will be the champions. I guess we will see for sure what happens with that in the future.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 34 minute delay. We begin with Elizabeth getting a call about the smuggling ring. Is this something that is just now important or does it relate to the asset of Henry’s? Once again, calmer heads prevail as Elizabeth is once again able to convince people not to do something more dangerous. She is going a while without food because of it. Henry then meets with the asset again and he seems to be okay, but he (the asset) is experiencing visions. There is a situation going on possibly causes problems for Elizabeth, only they find the mole in question.

In segment two, they talk to this person that they think is a mole, although I don’t think that he’s actually the mole. Rhinos are brought up for some odd reason. They are trying to work to stop rhino poaching. Elizabeth takes a person’s advice to support Viagra in order to stop rhino poaching. Elizabeth talks more to the lawyer who is representing the accused mole when he stops by her house.

In segment three, Elizabeth thinks that they should take the immunity deal since there are bigger fish to fry. The team tries to work more with the rhino issue. They aren’t making as much success as they should be. The person who was freed via the immunity deal winds up getting shot.

In segment four, Henry wants to get Ian, the asset, out of situation he is in. Conrad doesn’t know what to do regarding the recent death of Milt, the supposed mole. Elizabeth gets Conrad to do an executive order over the rhinos which upsets some other administration official. Henry then tries to help his asset but gets shot at and injured as a result.

In segment five, Elizabeth sees Henry in a hospital. He has leg issues now, which is what they had to write onto the show after Tim Daly (who plays Henry) broke both of his legs in real life. I wonder if they had to change any of the shooting that we’ve seen earlier over this. They continue hunting the possible mole. She talks to the lawyer of Milt (if I have his name right). She then is able to learn that the rhino problem might be solved. Everything seems wrapped up for now except for the asset. We won’t know for sure about Ian, this asset, until later. Elizabeth then meets with the lawyer again who claims that they have a mutual enemy he wants to destroy.

On the next Madam Secretary, they are going in after child trafficking victims and a possible person might be put in danger because of this. I’ve already seen this episode and have seen everything now until the season finale. So I’ll be back then with the next episode at some point in time. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 5-7-2017

The list of shows that I’m trying to watch on DVD is always done differently. There was a point in which I added a new list full of six choices which were the next six in line to be added. I added them all at once and switched between them and the other list of choices that I still had. Those six choices were VeggieTales on VHS, The Muppet Show season 1, Family Guy Star Wars parodies also called the Laugh it up Fuzzball trilogy, Invader Zim, Flashpoint, and Survivor: Palau.

Gradually, I moved those choices over to the main list when the older choices were replaced and had newer things replace things on the other list with the next set of choices. I got rid of the other list at some point, although I still wait for three of those choices to be transferred on to this one. Ultimately, everything older than those six choices except for shows on tape were removed from this list. Four of those choices were removed from this list in this order: VeggieTales on VHS, Family Guy Star Wars parodies, Invader Zim, and Survivor: Palau, leaving The Muppet Show and Flashpoint as the two oldest choices on the list. We’ll see which of them gets removed first. But there will probably be other choices that get removed before them.

Now that I can finally start talking about politics again, I have to mention who I believe is the worst Republican’t alive right now: Mitch McConnell. He prevents Obama from getting his rightful nomination to the Supreme Court saying that it shouldn’t happen during an election year when we all know that it is really about Republican’ts losing control of the court. He then has the audacity to say that the Democrats are doing an unprecedented thing by using a filibuster on a Supreme Court justice nominee when the Republicans lead by him did the unprecedented thing of refusing to hold hearing on Merrick Garland. I will be so glad when he’s gone from office. If you live in Kentucky, then be sure to vote that Mitch out when you get the chance. Progress is what he always works against.

The Supreme Court nomination process is now going to be easier for whoever happens to be in the majority party since they did the nuclear option. The Republican’ts are going to regret using that option, hopefully sooner rather than later. It was a bad thing to even be there and even worse that the Democrats did it and made it seem okay. That’s not to say that it wouldn’t have happened without the previous vote. They just wouldn’t have been able to blame anyone for it.

I had heard rumors that Anthony Kennedy may step down from the Supreme Court. I don’t know yet if this is true or something that will happen or not. I do wonder if he is the last moderate currently left on the court. I would like more moderates on the court, especially since the Democrats haven’t held control of the court since the 1970s. Hey, if Trump felt that Scala’s replacement had to be an ultra conservative like him, then maybe he’ll have to replace a moderate with another moderate. Remember that Merrick Garland is still available. Of course, with the current turmoil, only death will take another justice off the court right now.

Switching political sides entirely, you may have noticed from my March Madness posts (should they be published) that I rooting for all of the North Carolina teams since they weren’t playing any of the tournament there in objection to something called HB2. This means that I would support something like HB2. I find the opposition to the thing to be ridiculous.

Let’s just do a quick reminder of what this is for those of you that don’t know or remember. It is called a bathroom bill and makes people use the bathroom of the gender that they were born with. I think there might be more to the bill than that alone. But so many people think that people who aren’t transgender wouldn’t abuse the law. I bet these are the same people who would criticize Trump for the countless things that he has said without any prove. There are cases known already of none transgender people who have taken advantage of it to commit crimes or at least make people uncomfortable. If you aren’t a man anymore, then you can go to the woman’s restroom. But if you just identify as a woman but aren’t, then you shouldn’t be in that bathroom yet.

So many people criticized Hilary Clinton for her lies. Yet these same people are awfully silent about all of Trump’s constant lies. I also like how a person with a pre-existing condition can be denied coverage again in the future. I turn 26 in the summer and could lose coverage. So I better hope that any major health issues I have are before then. Republican’ts tend to blatantly ignored all of the benefits that Obamacare has given people. They would never mention the 45,000 people who died every year due to preventable things simply because of lack of health care coverage before Obamacare became law. They insist that people have lost coverage because of this yet never mention one single person who this has happened to. They could make up someone and I wouldn’t know. And they seem to be forgetting that even if it is true, they still can get Obamacare as a replacement and they won’t have that if the law no longer exists.

I really hope that Obama can consider running for governor of Illinois so I can have his great self in office again. But 2018, things can change and might move smoother for a change. Or it could be as bad as always. Trump wants to build a wall even though 48% of illegals come to this country by airplane. That percentage is just going to increase if a wall gets built. And I really don’t think that it will. If it does, then one can hope that it can come down like the Berlin Wall did. I wish that we could have someone more responsible in office who would want to tear down walls instead of building them up. Also, as of 5-7-2017, there are 1,264 days until the next presidential election. We could potentially get rid of Mitch McConnell in that election as well and we can have two bad people out of office at once.

Well, in all my threeish years of recording this show on my laptop, there has never once been a problem with it outside of episodes that were glitchy instead of coming in well. For the first time ever, it had a problem with playback. The episode was there. The audio was fine. There was no picture and seemed to just be just a black screen with the audio. (Honestly, I have watched some shows in the past where the picture quality was so bad, it looked like the television set was off even though the sound came in perfectly fine.) I decided to just delete the recording and will watch the episode later online.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with Blake being told about this journalist who is imprisoned oversees on trumped up charges. Boy I hate things that are Trumped. This episode seems to be a day in the life of Blake.

In segment two, there is more trying to get the journalist back. A reason that they might not be able to help is to keep future child soldiers from happening. Blake then gets a visit from his mother who might be a bit clingy. Blake goes to the embassy of Sudan. He then goes elsewhere where he seems to want to hook up with some random woman that I can’t tell that much about. I don’t think that he’s successful with that, for now at least.

In segment three, Nadine talks about the conflict growing potentially worse as usual. This fomer child soldier or whoever might be dying, if I’m understanding this right, which I don’t think that I am. Elizabeth and Nadine talk to a family who is fed up with the US government and a perceived lack of help. Daisy might be pregnant, but it can be hard to tell for sure since the characters aren’t explicitly saying it.

In segment four, Matt is called in for Elizabeth to give a speech to release the journalist. Even after trying to use a song to help him with writing, he doesn’t have anything to help the secretary. Daisy is, indeed, pregnant, but I’m not sure if we know who the father is. Is it from her Election Day hook up? A random conversation leads Matt to write his speech which Elizabeth then gives.

In segment five, someone yells and Elizabeth and then she gets everything that she wants. The father of Daisy’s baby was the undercover operative from earlier who wound up dead. The journalist gets reunited with his family. There are no scenes from next time so I’ll be back later with the next episode. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode from 3-19-2017

A lot of different things relating to the March Madness tournament this year seem to be going through my mind. For one, I might make Oklahoma State my first ever anti-team where I would root against it until it is possibly gone from the tournament. I don’t know yet if I’ll do that or not. Another thing to consider is the fact that the NCAA has decided that they will not be hosting any part of the tournament in North Carolina due to a passage of a bill they deemed controversial. The planned games in North Carolina are now in South Carolina which may have also been out of contention for hosting it if they had never gotten rid of the Confederate flag.

I think that the whole not letting a state host part of the tournament over a law that people are really dumb about objecting over is really dumb. I may look up all of the colleges and make a note of which ones are from North Carolina. That way, I might add them to the support list, or teams I would root for. We’ll see what happens with that for sure later. Teams in the tournament from North Carolina are Wake Forest, North Carolina Central, UNC Wilmington, Duke, and North Carolina. Guess that I might be rooting for Duke after all. We'll see what all I root for in the future and who I don't.

Now if you get only a dollar a year doing your job, would it benefit anyone to donate all that money to charity? Now if Charity was the name of a stripper, that dollar might work. But it doesn’t make sense to me, this story I’ve heard. Also, if you are a politician and you want to give back money you would otherwise earn, why not give the money towards getting rid of the national debt?

Now for the first update regarding the tournament. We’ll start with the play-in games. Wake Forest lost its play-in game to Kansas State so they will not be advancing to round one. North Carolina Central also had to win a play-in game in order to get to round one. They lost to UC Davis.

As of now, my sister’s baby has been born. I don’t know how this will affect this blog or not. I know that there will be a baptism of the baby at some point and I will probably be there for it. I also know that my brother-in-law’s birthday is coming up soon so I could go and visit him then. I guess that we will see for sure what happens with that later.

With round one, three teams I’m following are UNC Wilmington, Duke, and North Carolina. Well, those are three of the five teams that I’m now following. But I’m wanting to keep them separate from Wichita State and Butler plus whatever team(s) I’ll be adding later. I won’t know what teams advance instantly, but I will know as time goes by. Butler is going to round two having won their first game. UNC Wilmington lost to Virginia. Wichita State won their game and is continuing in the tournament. Duke continues by winning their game. North Carolina won their game. And the only team I was rooting against, Oklahoma State, lost to Michigan. But other teams I'm rooting against will be added later.

Next comes round two. Butler won and made it to the sweet sixteen. TNT aired North Carolina’s game at the same time as the game I am about to tell you about. I don’t have that channel so I won’t be able to watch it. They were winning at the time, although I won’t see the final score until later. North Carolina advanced in the tournament meaning that they will now play Butler in the sweet sixteen. You might be wondering who I would rather have win. I’m supporting North Carolina for political reasons. I’m supporting Butler since my cousin went there. I would rather Butler win, although I’d be okay with either as a winner.

Since I’m rooting for North Carolina teams, Duke was a team of interest. Instead of playing their games in North Carolina, they wound up playing them in South Carolina. Something interesting that happened is that they, a higher seeded team, lost to South Carolina. The parallels are interesting even if the change of venue would likely have no ultimate bearing on who would win over the other. In the meantime, Wichita State lost to Kentucky.

It is around 5:40 when I check what is on CBS. They are airing a game of Michigan State versus Kansas. Kansas is winning. Kansas is also the higher seeded team. They are seeded number one while Michigan State is seeded number nine. I should be watching most of this until 6. It looks like there’s a lot of game still left to be played. I wanted to watch what was on FOX, until I learned that it was delayed Nascar which is dumb considering how the race is over. Hopefully they can get back to shows at 6:30. Actually, they get to a Bob’s Burgers episode that they probably cut off the beginning of.

Kansas ends up winning the game and they are now a team that I root for. Also, why wasn’t Tru TV airing a game at this time? I guess that they would be airing one later. Kansas won’t face any teams of interest until the final four if all of them make it that far. We’ll see if another game airs before primetime next week. I won’t have to worry about Kansas playing another team of interest unless both are in the final four. We’ll see what happens later.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 35 minute delay. We begin the siblings are fighting with each other. Stevie insists on being caught up on current events. Elizabeth is meeting with the Dalai Lama soon. Russell might have been mansplanning. Elizabeth is told not to do something at her foreign meeting. Knowing her, this will mean she probably does it. Henry is looking for a missing asset. Different Tibetans are over at the white house, I think. They do some sort of ritual. Jay, I think, has possible problems over custody over his child. There is a lot going on and I have no way of knowing how to recap all of it. The Dalai Lama names a successor which makes wave.

In segment two, people don’t want to pick sides between Tibet and China. This could break an ongoing climate deal. How is this related? A senator supports the Dalai Lama having an American successor and this is a problem. Henry is able to meet with the asset again. This asset is concerned that he might be caught soon. The female vice-president who looks more like Hilary Clinton than Téa Leoni does appears to talk more about the issue at hand.

In segment three, there is more talking about the issue at hand. Jay has more arguments with his ex-wife? Elizabeth talks with a person of some sort online who offers advice over the ongoing issue. The senator talks with the president and vice-president. Conrad threatens to kick this person’s ass. My mother doesn’t think a president is allowed to do (or even say) that. I wonder what Trump might do regarding something like that. Hopefully there won't be too much more of the Trump administration even if it would lead to a still less than ideal Mike Pence administration.

In segment four, they think that the deal is fixed, only there is another problem when the Chinese people think that another person should be endorsed as the new Lama. Elizabeth is a bit childish over this. They still try to work on a solution. After advice from Henry, Elizabeth tells the current Lama that she thinks they should do the test and then see what the results are.

In segment five, the Lama ends up dying. Jay wants to be more involved with his child’s life than he has ended up being. The asset goes through some sort of inauguration. They couldn’t find a new Lama based on the American child as he failed their test. If the test is what I think it is, it seems very random and ambiguous. The Tibetans pay tribute to their fallen leader.

On the next Madam Secretary, there are missiles missing and it seems that a lot of danger possibly looks like it is happening everywhere. It looks like an interesting episode and I look forward to watching it in the near future. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
